Does one exist? I've never come across one... I'm thinking of a mix at least 20 minutes long, and probably seven or more songs back-to-back.

Anyone got suggestions for hotels to consider? Nothing too expensive - it's just a place to crash after the gig after all, but nowhere too rough either :P

Ooh, looks like I'm driving then if it's already got really expensive. I suppose that's one thing to be said for leaving things late...you don't have to make any decisions, because they're all made for you!!

Thanks so much guys for your thoughts :) I didn't get a chance today, so I think I'd better book a hotel for the saturday night tomorrow if I can. Anyone got any hot tips? I may be driving Mich or maybe train...not sure yet...why do you ask? At least if I drive I can keep things flexible, even drive home that night if I have to (though it'll be a sober gig for me, grrr :inquisitive:)

I'm staying with an old friend and his family on Friday night, and I think he's already planned a few things for us, but when I next speak to him I'll try to sort something out :\ Reminder to self - book hotel later today or risk having to drive back to Kent after the gig :o :laugh3:

I like your theory, dianne! Let's hope it's that, they really should play longer (but then this's been a problem with Coldplay forever, it seems). But, CSC was played for much more of this tour than that - I saw them play it twice in December in London (on separate nights of course!) And, true, it was a song people take a break for (I did myself because it felt a little lightweight in an arena the way they presented it - I just don't think the stage set-up did it justice). Unfortunately, I think the way the band obsess about things like that - because people WILL always take a break at some point, like it or not - means that we get less experimentation and fewer obscure songs; less risk. It also means I guess that we get shorter shows, because the band would rather play I think to a constantly-enthralled audience for 1hr30 than play 2hrs and have a minority switching off from time to time...

Nothing personal ever taken from you - I know you will be unpleasant to just about anybody, and for whatever reason (or more usually, for none at all). You said Spurs would be relegated, we can bring up the old thread and your posts on others that preceded it if you like...if not there is nothing more to say...

Yea, we're obviously very happy about where we are right now, but it's too early to be anything other than a bonus. The defence looks fragile at times, even with Ledley, and he's not able to train with the others, so I don't expect much improvement there. Corluka is no centre-half, and he's no right-back either. The rest of the team look pretty tight so far, but Huddlestone needs to sharpen things up, and lose Palacios, Lennon or Luka 'the Magician' Modric and we'll look a very different side. Oh well, enough to be happy about for now :)

Wow, very surprised to see mc_squared has the cheek to show his face on any sort of football thread here after all his nastiness on the Tottenham thread last year (where he smugly assured Spurs of relegation in his usual poisonous fashion). Well, we went on to almost make European qualification, with form over the last 3/4 of the season that would have seen us challenging the top four if it had been season-long, as well as a cup final appearance. I'll take the same again this year, but expect us to be challenging top six. Another good run in a cup looks likely :)

Just read an interesting observation on BBC Sport - Monty's batting at Cardiff basically won us The Ashes :D

The pitch will be covered by some sort of surface, but as I don't know if it's going to be hard, I'm gonna be 'better safe than sorry' and leave the high heels at home :P
