  1. Pretty strict I thought, but not unassailable if you had the 'magic balls' to produce decent fake ID and stand firm. I thought it was Will myself, and he backed away from Chris pretty quickly, but may well be wrong, delirious as I was :)
  2. Double post. Did I mention that LiJ is an incredible closing song????
  3. Hey guys just got back! What a gig, ranks alongside the best I've seen them (6 or so times, stretching back to the Rush tour) No Politik (really missed that!) very little X&Y. No SoS thank the stars, Sqaure One was a revelation mid-set. The other highlights for me were Yellow (Acoustic) - was a bit iffy at first but to be honest by the end I was stunned, it's incredible and Lovers in Japan (of course!) with the confetti. Cheesy on MTV, wicked in person! 42 was AMAZING live till Chris messed up the end lol. Clocks was slightly understated, which was fine. VLV not my fave so I made a break for the bar and missed it really talikng about extortionate water prices with the great staff :D The crowd were rotten, far too many people who obviously got there tickets online for a huge sum. The exceptions were the guys I met from here who were all stellar, especially my dance partner (he knows who he is!) and some other guys dotted around who were obviously huge fans (and they were probably from here too hehe). Guys, we have one hell of a tour to look forward to :)
  4. They may be buying. Hopefully the ID thing will ruin their plans and they have to head off home empty handed.
  5. Thanks a lot Ron, no-one feels luckier than me today I'll bet, except maybe the chap on here I gave a ticket to! Enjoy the cricket mate - have a cracking time with your friend :) Brilliant info, many thanks!
  6. Sandi didn't say how much they're charging. Hopefully they'll be frustrated in their efforts with the ID thing. Watered down beer??? I'll have Trading Standards on them if my pint's not up to scratch lol.
  7. Sandi reports from Brixton that there are loads of touts
  8. Does anyone know what the beer's like at Brixton? Nice and cold? <edit> Sandi's at Brixton and says there are loads of touts :(
  9. Some may pop up on TM, you never know. If I didn't have a ticket I'd be going along to the venue - they've beaten the touts with the id thing and there are bound to be a few spares. If you write of review of tonight please forget to say how tired and red-eyed I was - I didn't sleep well last night! :D
  10. Thanks Stephie. I've already had my reward - my ticket! And the joy of making someone else's day :)
  11. I'm sorry you couldn't make it along Ron, you've been my partner in crime on this, but the BBC gig is close and will be fab :) People were asking me for a hundred pounds or more for one of these tickets last night, I was so very upset. And although I'm skint, that is not what Coldplay are about, and it's most certainly not what this gig is about. I've given the ticket to the first person on here who asked me about it. Aakash doesn't have that many posts, but is quite clearly a huge fan which is what matters. I hope that anyone still looking has as much luck as we've had today :)
  12. They're free. Ticketing has just been horrendous for this. Good luck one and all!
  13. Thanks a lot fella. I'm so pleased, this has been an emotional rollercoaster. Don't worry, I'll be here dribbling from around midnight :D They released the extra ones on TM with no real warning, and then a couple more this morning. I was just really really lucky to stumble across them. There may be more later, who knows. The whole thing's been a farce.
  14. If you can't make it I'll give the ticket to someone else on here. He hasn't posted much but one of his messages really touched me. Most of my friends would kill for this ticket, but after being someone without a ticket and very sad indeed yesterday hanging out here, this ticket is destined to go to a Coldplaying member. I've a funny feeling there will be a few odd more tickets on TM soon, good luck everyone!!
  15. Two standing tickets!! I've Pmed Ron and waiting to see if he can join me. We've been trying to help each other with tickets for ages, even though we've never met. He deserves it. Just before I checked TM again I was going to post here that everything's not lost. Believe my friends, and good luck! :)
  16. Wow, just got two tickets from Ticketmaster :O
  17. Get on Ticketmaster now!!!!!!!! Tickets!!!!!! <edit> all gone now
  18. Thank you very much Sandi, the new day has brought me new resolve and positivity :) Something great will happen today I'm certain! Yes it's absolutely normal to feel apprehensive I think, and tonight is going to be quite some event!!
  19. I think you probably need to have a sense of humour to be able to recognise one!
  20. Me too! I have a premonition of a close up on me singing along right at a point where I realise I've forgotten the lyrics. I'm off to the fancy dress shop later to see what disguises they can offer me :D
  21. Thank you so very much Ron, you are too kind and a real gent. It's been a pleasure to try to work something out with you, even though we weren't successful. You're a man of honour. I shall see you at the BBC, and look forward very much love to sharing a pint, and hopefully a laugh at all the stress we went through together just a few days previously :) 50/50 I won't be going up to Brixton now unless I can grab that elusive ticket beforehand. Enough heartbreak, thank you, especially with the way they released the tickets on Ticketmaster with no warning, rather than re-allocate them to local people who entered the original competition. The touts have still run amok, and the last offer I was 'invited to beat' was £210 for 2 tickets. More fool the people who pay such silly money for tickets I say because I had a spare at Earl's Court that I'd paid a fortune for, and couldn't even give it away (and was nearly arrested for trying to do just that!) I don't doubt there will be tickets available tomorrow. I'm just too tired now and sick of this process. I'm going to go off and listen to Warning Sign with a stiff drink.
  22. No, for sure. But why would anyone want to? It's being broadcast in HD! :)
  23. I thought the gig was going out ACTUALLY live Ron? My tickets say doors close at 6:45, so surely that'd be a start at seven (when the TV starts)?? TV coverage stops at 7:45, but I'm sure the band will play a few more numbers, maybe even some rarer tracks. Yes that's bloomin' ridiculous! :D
