Brixton: who has won tickets?
Thanks so much for that post Laura! 1) The emails look like they went out at the same time unfortunately. 2) You can't transfer the tickets. That guy on ebay should be reported to them and Debs or someone is going to buy them and then not get in. <edit> that listing's gone I think. Ah well, hopefully something in all of this is being done properly.

Brixton: who has won tickets?
Absolutely not! We're all delighted for you and Laura, and wish only that the gig is absolutely brilliant for you! And now you've registered your names, people won't be able to use those tickets without fake ID in those names, I think.

Brixton: who has won tickets?
Well, here we are two hours after the only confirmed time of the emails to winners (many thanks to Sandi for that). I'm ready to give up on this one. Sandi makes some great points about how they might deal with tickets that aren't taken up - i.e. redistribute to other people who entered. That would seem fair and logical, but unfortunately not much so far about this competition has seemed very fair or logical to me... It's heartbreaking to see tickets on ebay. You'd hope that people who can't attend would decline the tickets so other fans could get them. Anyone who tries to make a profit on them is the lowest of the low in my book. I hope people will report them to Ebay and to Debs and something can be done about it. The name issue I'm not so sure about. We had to give our names upon entering, didn't we, so you'd expect that to appear on the tickets to prevent re-sale. If the set-up of the comp gives you 48 hours to register ANY names then we can expect a lot more tickets on ebay I should think. And that is horrendous and terribly unfair organisation.

Sandi got her email at 12:27 today. Laura could you confirm the time of your one please?

Brixton: who has won tickets?
The key question!

Brixton: who has won tickets?
Great stuff! Is there any chance the winners could check the emails and confirm what time they were sent? Then we might start to get an idea if they were sent all together or little by little.

Brixton: who has won tickets?
Just one winner so far? Jeez this gig's going to be intimate!

Brixton: who has won tickets?
Nothing for me so far. I do quite often win competitions, but this has been a bad one for me from the very start lol. Do we have a second winner yet?

16-Dec-08 - London, O2 Arena - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
I think they should be pretty good. Though they're below the level of the stage (I think) they should be far enough back not to matter, and you will probably be able to take in the screens quite easily as well as the stage. Perhaps someone else knows a lot more though? Agreed on all fronts. Ticketmaster suck. But welcome aboard Ron!!

Ode To Deodorant
Thank you for showing us your true colours so quickly, I'm sure many of us are very grateful! More unfounded nastiness, and you continue to offer nothing to convince us (or me at least) you are genuine. You are missing the basic point that I have nothing at all to gain by being on this thread, whereas you (if you are the seller, which I suspect) stand to gain quite a lot of cash. There's the difference. Let me honestly answer a couple of your points, because I shan't be posting on such a vile thread again: I am very keen for tickets, yes. I love to see the band live, don't we all here??? I have tickets for two shows this year, can go to one more if I want, and will also probably be at the BBC gig. You call me a stalker because presumably you have gone back through my posts on the bakery thread. Yes, I am very interetsed in seeing the bakery, as are many others. You I am not interested in meeting the band, as I really wouldn't know what to say, and would probably feel uncomfortable. When that thread started on where the band lived I felt deeply uncomfortable and left. Your attempt at Japanese ('konichi wah?') also looks like you've been going back thorugh my posts and have found I used to live there, so who's stalking who exactly here? A moron? Lol, if you say so. A gimp? Ditto. This is funny stuff. Again, good day to you, please carry on with your ridiculous posts. I for one will not be wasting my time with any more of them!

Brixton: who has won tickets?
Welcome Steve! Ah well, another day, another morning spent without any news... This is really odd, what could be the problem? Why not send them out first thing in the morning? I can only think that someone in the States is dealing with this (which would make no sense) or that they are having ongoing problems with the database. The only other possible reason I could see is that they've outsourced this job to a local kindergarten... sigh

I make no apology for suggesting you aren't genuine. The internet is full of scammers and your few posts here look very suspicious. Your story simply does not add up. I have not said that I'm right and that you are definitely a scammer, I have just offered my opinion. I offer no insults or any negativity, just my objective opinion that may or may not inform others. From your own unfounded and ridiculous insults, though, I can only guess i have hit an extremely raw nerve. Good day ;)

Brixton: who has won tickets?
Yes I know Hadlow a little bit Duckette, it's very close to me here (I'm near sunny Sevenoaks:)) Did you go to the college? We're beginning to need a Kent thread here hehe. And why for goodness sakes don't Coldplay ever come to the Assembly Halls eh?! It should be tomorrow for sure, stay positive! And do your best in your finals, much more important than any gig I'm sure. Best of luck :) Night all.

18-June-2008: BBC Gig - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
If you get a ticket and arrive in decent time you WILL get in. They won't massively over-ticket and some of those who do have tickets won't go along for one reason or another. You also won't miss out on tickets just because you miss one phone call. I'm betting you will get a message either by phone or email (most likely email) and have to confirm with them within a certain period (e.g. a day), It's common sense people, DON'T PANIC! :)

I can't take it anymore...
They could be wearing panda suits and I wouldn't care - cranking out music as good as this, as they have been for so many years, is such a blessing.

so the official retail version of LIT has leaked?
That's what I thought...new ones are on there at a much higher rate, and crazy with activity. The 61mb has no seeds whatsoever right now, so I might just have to jump ship!

Brixton: who has won tickets?
I went to Judd...back in the day (ahem!) Welcome to the forum all new non-lurkers! :D <edit> I'm assuming only the repeating entries will be deleted, not the original one. That would make sense, and is fair (you still get one entry).

so the official retail version of LIT has leaked?
Gotcha :D
-
so the official retail version of LIT has leaked?
Thanks fella, but there are loads of links on that site now, I can't find the 61mb one. Some of them are over 100mb, isn't that album quality? Oh well, so close now maybe I'll just wait!

so the official retail version of LIT has leaked?
Is it better quality than what we already have?

Ode To Deodorant
So now that's it on sale again you come back on this forum talking up the price (again)? Your strategy to try and win it is to post details of the auction on the one website that will likely generate most interest in it, and thus competition for your purchase? Sorry, don't buy it! :wink3: Post a request in the multimedia section and some kind soul will help you out :)

18-June-2008: BBC Gig - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
When I was on the site it said first come first served (and that is their standard procedure at the BBC I think). Why do you think they'd phone? I'd say the most likely would be that they'll send an email asking you to confirm you want the tickets, and if they don't get a reply they'll use the phone as a last resort. Calling 250 people as opposed to emailing them makes no sense at all in this day and age, but you seem pretty certain so...? In any case they're not going to give your tickets to someone else just because you happen to miss a phone call. And three numbers on the lottery? I play one line a week and have had four in the last year. And one lot of four numbers that won me...£35 lol. So stay very hopeful people! :)
