This amuses me :D Oh, Stevie G, just have to say it, I find Dig Out Your Soul superior to Viva La Vida and yes, I'm saying this on a Coldplay forums so I'm bound to get hammered, but I enjoyed Viva La Vida (second best album of the year) and was a great suprise after the abysmal X&Y, but it's all just a little too chilled out, I like loud guitars and banging drums. My order for the albums is 1. Dig Out Your Soul 2. Viva La Vida 3. Forth.

Dig Out Your Soul for me. I can find maybe 3 good songs on Forth at a push, whereas I don't need to skip a single song on DOYS and it all flows together perfectly as an album.

Oasis - Definitely Maybe

Oh no, you misunderstood me, I enjoyed a few tracks on DBTT (Lyla, Turn Up The Sun, Part Of The Queue) but as an "album" it fell short, whereas Dig Out Your Soul is an "album" rather than a singles collection if you know what I mean, although it is an album of two halves, with the louder, rockier songs at the start, with the chilled out, experimental songs toward the end. Heathen Chemistry, to this day, baffles me as to why people slag it off, sure, it had it's usual Oasis fillers on it (Force Of Nature, Hung In A Bad Place, Better Man), but what was good on it was pretty good, I mean, fucking hell, it's got Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Songbird and Hindu Times on it, great tunes in themselves. Any how, if you wanna know if it's worth buying or not, listen to it on Oasis Myspace, it's all up on their, that way if you hate it you don't waste your money :).

Jesus, the people who don't like this album really baffle me, it's sooo much better than DBTT, with every stryle of song catered for, from the sweeping souldful ballad, to the full wall of noise rock out. How any one can complain that it is boring I don't know, the first 4 tracks alone are enough to blow speakers if you turned them up too loud, and while it's true that after that the album takes a more laid back experimental tone, tracks like "Falling Down" "I'm Outta Time" "To Be Where There's Life" and "High Horse Lady" easily impress more than anything off the last album except maybe "Idle" but that was the best song on DBTT and was a massive hit for them. Best Oasis album since MG, and I don't put much over BHN. 9/10 for me this album. By the way, anyone who just listens to the album once and declares they don't like it, do what your supposed to to with music and play it more than once, then you'll see how amazing it is.

Yet in an earlier post you said "Of course I laughed", which is it? It's one thing to run your mouth in the media about people, who lets face it, run their mouths back (it's something that usually happens when both bands have an album coming or released around the same time), it's completely different to launch a physical attack. I really hate people who think just because someone is in the limelight they deserve violence to be committed against them. Then again, if that's your way of looking at things, I guess we have the right to laugh now if something unfortunate happens to you seeing as how you've been running your trap.

That's a bit of a twatish thing to say, DBTT was considered a return to form by many thus not crap, and Heathen Chemistry still is better than anything most other artists from the last 15 year have in their catalogue.

I meant I don't like Radiohead...sorry, well, nothing KidA and after. Yeah, I've heard both, please, what kind of Oasis fan do you take me for :)

I've not listened to the new album much, but I given it a couple of "background" listens, and so far at least, it's a let down. Love Is Noise is fantastic, no doubt about that, as well as Valium Skies. I'm hoping I just haven't given the rest as much chance as I should have.
