Where Will VH Fit on the Setlist?
Like everyone else, I'm thinking opener. The beginning of the song really clinches the 'opener' spot, for me. If you guys watch the Live 2003 DVD, the sound right before Politik hits is really similar, the way it builds. I think that it's the best way to start a concert, with that sound just coming in, and then instead of the drums from Politik (though Politik should definately definately be played later on), we get Chris singing about a long and dark December, you know? haha, well, that's how I would do it. But then...I'm just a lame fruitcake sitting at home in Canada.

Lost? and Violet Hill
I thought it might be hoax as well, or at the very most, just something that got taken out of context maybe. But I've heard a lot about it now, and there are a few other threads that discuss this. I hope it's true too, twisted!

Coldplay To Announce New Initiative With 'Huge Global Reach'
This is really something. I actually don't know what to make of all this news. I think we can be certain of the new single on May 21st. The rest is all speculation, but I find that the dual album theory is very sound. I mean, 'Death and All His Friends" is missing from the artwork. I'm bustin'. BUSTIN', I tell yah.

Lost? and Violet Hill
Hey guys, so, apparently, it's been floating around, and even when I go to the Amazon site I see my self, that a song called Lost?, rather than the Lost! we are familiar with, will possibly be release with the CD single, or something like that. If anyone gets a copy of that, would you please upload? Where I live, it's not really possible to get these CD singles, unless you order online, otherwise I would do it. It's just that there is no store that sells things like this. Anyways, thanks a bunch in advance.

Another song called "Lost"?
If anyone gets a copy of this, please please, PLEASE, upload it. Your fellow Coldplayers will forever be in your debt.

[Article] The perils of the pretentious album title
The problem with this article, and the main reason no one will really take it seriously, is that it tries to say that Coldplay are pretentious. That is laughable, Coldplay are very down-to-Earth. Especially Chris, who wouldn't even play his own record on the Jo Whiley show, because he thought that would be too presumptuous. I believe he also said something to the effect of: "Alright, Violet Hill is coming on now, it's time to go do your gardening." Pretentious? Wow. Has this person HEARD of Coldplay?

A Spell A Rebel Yell
A Spell.........a rebel yell, a Spell....... You know, I'm just going to go out on a limb here and come out and say it. I REALLY like what Coldplay is giving to us. Now, hear me out. I was SOOO ready to be disappointed by Violet Hill. When I got the download from the site, of course, I was RETARDEDLY excited, and I couldn't wait to listen to it. But I was ready. In FACT, and I know this sounds terrible coming from a true, cross my heart and hope to die Coldplay fan, I was expecting to not like it. I really was. But then Violet Hill started. And the sound started swelling up and it gave me goosebumps in spite of myself. And I loved the song after it was done. EXPECTING to not like it, I ended up loving it. The song was at a freaking disadvantage, and it still came out on top. I must have listened to it straight for an hour. STRAIGHT. And I still love it. The same thing, maybe even to a more intense degree happened today when I tuned in over the internet to have a listen to A Spell A Rebel Yell. I love B-sides, in fact, I think, my second favorite song by Coldplay (after Fix You/Yellow (:))), is a B-side, 'Proof'. But I was ready to not like it, and I was ready to say it categorically after I heard it, without beating around the bush. But I love it. The lyrics work just....so well.....with the music. And Chris doesn't let words about loss and love and pain become anything emo, but makes them work in a way that matters more, more than any other way you can hear them. And I think it's because Coldplay haven't changed, like we all think they are going to, because the album art is different, or because the mags say they have. They haven't. This is exactly what we would always wish to happen. They grow. They are evolving and growing, rather than changing and emulating other big artists, like U2. I have heard a lot of U2, and they are indeed one of my top bands, but they have never, in my humble opinion, ever sounded as beautiful. And, frankly, this growth is turning out to be everything I hoped for, from my favorite band. Thanks Coldplay.

A Spell A Rebel Yell
Yah, I just heard him mention it as well. I didn't hear him say anything about 7:30 to 7:45, though. Is that true?

A Spell A Rebel Yell
Basically, if you were to record and post it, you would be doing a most excellent favor to all the non-UK Coldplayers. Thanks in advance, really, to anyone who can do this.

I've heard Violet Hill: my opinion
You know what? I think that we should just believe him. I mean, we WANT to believe him, right? Doesn't everyone want him to be telling the truth? And he says he IS telling the truth. That should be good enough. Thanks bro. Can't wait.
