23-Jun-08: New York - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
Escapist My friend. Prepare to be blown away. Coldplay, hands down, are the best live act I have ever seen. And I have seen many. many. many, live acts, on TV, in person, on DVD and on the internet. Many. lol

01-Aug-08: Winnepeg - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
Winnipeg! Here goes: I'm probably the only Winnipeg fan on here. But hey. Worth a shot. If you're in Winnipeg, and going, give me a shout. We can discuss strategies on how to get the best tickets and all that. Also, Winnipeg is awesome. Regardless of the fact that we got snow like....5 days ago. May. Yah.

General Admission
GET GENERAL! They are awesome because you can get RIGHT up to the fence and stage. Depends how much you want to get right right at the front. Me? IF it's general admission in Winnipeg, which I hope, I'll be there like 3 hours early. Maybe more, with my friends. But then. Coldplay probably doesn't have as huge a fan as me.

Coldplay.Com EXTRAS

[Triple M] New Coldplay Interview (New vid 23 May) (LIVE 6TH JUNE, 12pm AEST, EST+14)
hey 42. I think it says that lyric that we have had for a while. "Those who are dead, aren't dead..." From what I can see, that's what's up. So, probably, whoever wrote that (looks like Chris did), they were specifying a part of the song they wanted, hence the 'middle bit' note as well.

Violet Hill... ummmm, I now like it... a lot...
Hey. 'M just glad you came to your senses. lol

Lost? and Violet Hill
I agree. The replay value of these new tracks we are getting is really something. For the past, what, two weeks, I've listened to nothing but new Coldplay, literally, and I seem to only want to hear the songs more. It's very promising.

Endings of newly released songs
I pretty much agree with everyone here (hey, I'm Canadian. What did you expect?!) The big endings are VERY Coldplay, and they seemed to be something that Coldplay would do for all their songs, because, well, the truth is that they existed on all their albums. Fix You has, in my opinions, one of the greatest endings to any song. Ever. And no. That's not up for debate. Viva La Vida, at first glance, seems to have moved away from that. AT FIRST GLANCE. The truth is, for me anyways, that those Coldplay endings gave you a certain feeling. They elicited certain emotions and a...I don't know...reaction. Though, none of the songs RELEASED (cuz we have to remember that we dont have all the songs yet. not even nearly all of them, considering all the extras we are going to get with the non-Viva La Vida CD), have them, I still feel get a similar FEELING. The ending of Viva is pretty huge. Violet Hill has one that reminds me a LOT of A Rush of Blood to the Head songs. Like Warning Sign. And Life in Technicolor is just one of the greatest things I have heard from Coldplay, hands down. Again, with a special ending. So maybe the endings might, SO FAR, not be has audibly huge, they do still pack an emotional punch, which was the point. viva coldplay.

[Organising US/CANADA] Coldplaying Member Meetups @ "VIVA LA VIDA"
This is a great idea. Anyone going in Winnipeg? Let me know! We can help each other out in getting the best tickets, possible, right up in the front on the floor. ....though I seriously think I'm the only winnipeger here. .......because most people haven't heard of Winnipeg. BUT COLDLAY HAVE! lol

Life in Technicolor (No links)
I like the way you think Saffire. Hardcores like us should be able to, because, well....lets face it....we'll also BUY everything they throw at us. So why not a few freebees?

Triple M and iTunes observations
Hey Jacob, are those lyrics in your sig really from Death and All His Friends? Where did you get them?
-
Triple M and iTunes observations
well...sebrat, coldplay WOULD keep it the same. they want to probably keep it a secret for as long as possible, and they know everyone is over there checking stuff out all the time.

The Puzzle and the Give Away.
Oh, yah, no, I think that the percentage is the puzzle too. It's just....Maybe the percentage is directly related to the amount of tickets, you know? Like...once the tickets are all gone, or something, then the whole puzzle will be relieved, as in, 100 percent. does that make more sense?

Coldplay.Com EXTRAS
Don't worry Acer. Here is the deal. Coldplay changed their website to take submissions for the free tickets. You sign up, and an email will be sent to your email. For some people, it takes forever. Use Gmail. That seems to work for everyone. Hotmail seems to loose it, or, for whatever reason, doesn't work. The puzzle it then takes you to is a new Coldplay surprise. I BELIEVE that as people sign up, more and more of the puzzle becomes available. Right now, the brixton puzzle, which you see when you click to sign up for the brixton concert is at 9 percent. You should be able to see, like, a picture of Reign of Love, and Cemeteries of London. Also, there are some other random pics. Eventually, as the percentage get higher, and the puzzle gets more and more completed, we will get videos and stuff. Nothing should happen when you click on the solved spots other than the pictures showing up. The Life in Technicolor video was found by someone, no doubt looking at the source code, or something similar, and was posted. I personally saw it and found it to be, quite frankly, astounding. It gave me shivers, it was so good. But its better if we dont talk about it until it is released by Coldplay. There.... Hope that helps!

The Puzzle and the Give Away.
Hey, I've had a theory, and the reason I am creating a new thread is to see if anyone might have any OTHER theories, or perhaps, and help proving or disproving mine. So, a raffle sounds kinda unfair, doesnt it? I mean.....all us Coldplay fans literally checking coldplaying.com and coldplay.com HOURLY (in my case, more) for the concert updates and new releases and stuff. It would kinda suck if people who sign up right before the draw win, you know? because it's not like, the SAME as a raffle event, because there are people who have been waiting forever to enter, and there are people who have just heard about this and enter. So what if THIS happened. I can see Coldplay being much more into this. What if it was a first come, first serve sort of deal? I mean, for all the fans who have waited and THEN put their names in as SOON as could be done, wouldnt that be much cooler? and....'fairer' ( I realize that isn't a word...) And then out of all the people that got tickets, of THOSE, the grand winner of the all expense paid trip was raffled, because they are all on the same playing field. Does this make any sense? Do any of you LIKE this idea, or do you prefer the 'raffle' draw method? As far as additional proof, apart from Coldplay doing this for Fans and not randoms, look at the 'puzzle'. It's a percentage. Percentage of tickets? I know...it seems unlikely that only 9% (the current completed level), for Brixton, are gone.....but the truth is....not TOO many people know about this. That percentage might all of a sudden jump, when people find out. So far, I think, only hardcores know. It's a theory.

Life in Technicolor (No links)
I started a thread and wrote a very heartfelt passage about how it made me feel, and why it was so amazing. but it was deleted. I guess its because not everyone has heard it, and it just doesnt do to be talking about something that everyone hasnt experienced. So i understand. Sorry Mods!!! However, once it is unlocked officially, ill repost it. if I can remember everything I said. :)

I need help!!
Yah man, go with getting advances from people. Borrow something from a buddy man. They'll understand!

Life in Technicolor (No links)
Coldplaying So I clicked the link. Someone put it up: "LIFE IN TECHNICOLOR VIDEO", or something to that effect. I clicked, downloaded. And watched. and slowly, just like the build of music, the tiny hairs of my arm stood on end. I felt a shiver run down my spine and a smile awkwardly presented itself on my face. The smiles they had on, and the music, perfect. It was like they were looking straight at me, and all the other coldplay fans watching, because, truly, only the real coldplay fans are watching that. They were smiling and saying: "Hey guys. We're back. Sorry for being away so long. See you soon." and then the video ended. and I watched it again.

COLDPLAY.COM UPDATED - CONTESTS REVEALED
Yah, I'd also like to figure out how to unlock stuff. I have NO idea what to do with the Facebook code they gave. I only have 4% done, and it's a picture of Reign of Love, and Cemeteries of London. I got the Life In Technicolor vid off someone. What do you do to get more stuff?
