  1. Yes, they are my favorite. I like other bands like the Killers and even pick up CD's for other reasons, like being in a "dancier" mood. But at the moment, every time I listen to something else I feel like I'm missing something.
  2. I've been waiting for someone to post a video of that song. Man, Chris can pull ANYTHING off!

    And that's what I did!

I did have a nice Chris dream a couple of weeks ago, I was watching them in concert, from behind some kind of speaker or something, and Chris told me to go and sit in the front row (not sure how this was better). So he's not always so grumpy!
  5. Can't Get You Out of My Head, I know some don't like the CP version but I think it's fun. I do like the original, though--it's one of my guilty pleasures.

Had the most bizarro dream last night that I just had to share it here! I have a Coldplay dream about once a week, especially leading up to last month's concert in Carson, but last night was a doozy! I dreamt that I was "hanging out" with Gwyneth, like spending the day at her home, even Blythe was there (just around though, not hanging with us). I could see how nice Gwyneth's skin was and I thought "famous people have nicer skin, they pay for it." Gwyn was doing some sort of photo shoot, a group photo, and I was going to stand and watch her, but then I look over and see Chris and Jonny! They were sitting together, they were waiting to be in the photo too, Chris was wearing a white version of his regular tour jacket. So, I go over to them and say how much I enjoyed the concert at the Home Depot Center and Chris gives me a quizzical look like he can't remember which one that was, but he says nothing. Jonny smiles and thanks me. I say thank you for being great or something fawning like that and Chris still does not speak, he looks kind of angry, like those celebs who don't want to be spoken to! I was crushed! Anyway, Gwyn comes back around, she's changed her outfit, and I ask her if Chris is angry, and she says he just doesn't feel well. And that's all I remember, I might have woken up at that point. Weird!!!
  7. Favorite: For You, I Ran Away, Gravity Least Favorite: I could do without Proof and even more so, Pour Me...but would miss them after awhile.
  8. I agree. This was a little too private for my taste. It also seems like the author is a little taken with herself, and enjoys letting everyone know how much she did not want Chris. Yuck.
  9. Chris in a flower costume, ala Peter Gabriel in early Gensis?? Hope not! I thought they looked "gorge" (as Gwyneth would say) in their Viva outfits, the black of X&Y were nice at the time but look so sloppy compared to Viva. The Viva outfits are really sexy, maybe go with jackets and slim pants again, but no crazy colors. As for music, I'm open to anything they do but always have my fingers crossed for an album heavy with piano.
  10. That look he gave her was pretty fierce too, like the one she gave him when she presented Radiohead at the Grammys.
  11. I wanted to wear some kind of funky, fitted tee shirt with some cool writing or pictures on it, but I don't own one. So I wore a black fitted top and my faded jeans--I can call them my "concert jeans " now.
  12. I’ll start off my review by saying that I don’t post as much on the Coldplaying.com forum as I should, I do read it everyday—so most of you will not know me. I’ve been a fan since Parachutes came out, “Yellow” was on the playlist at my wedding. I’m also out of the demographic for Coldplay fans, slightly older at 39, but saw plenty of older fans mixed in with younger ones on Saturday night, which was nice for hubby, since he worries about stuff like that. Hubby and I arrived later than I wanted to, we left three hours early and didn’t get there until seven due to an unforeseen car issue, had to wait an hour to get back on the road. I was so nervous I wouldn’t make it! We then had to park in the dirt parking lot at the college next door to Home Depot Center, and then walk about half a mile, but at least we were there! I bought my program right away and went inside to wait, hubby asking all sorts of questions (he likes the band ok but has to define which album a song is from by giving the color of the album cover, like white for ROBTTH and blue for X&Y) The opening bands were ok, very, very loud, with good, bouncy beats, but not who I came there for! Finally, Coldplay! Granted, my seats did not turn out all that great, I was on the floor section, thought I would be a lot closer, but not to be. I am five two and hubby is six feet and we had to keep switching placed when the couple in front of us did, me behind the shorter of the two; I spent most of the concert watching the TV screens, so, yes, a little disappointing there—really wanted to see the boys and not just hear them. All in all, the evening was fantastic. My section swayed and sang with the music; some of the highlights for me were Cemeteries of London, Hardest Part and Postcards, Lost, Politik, Lovers in Japan (and the butterflies—I only got two since the breeze blew everything away from our section) and the encore. Emjoyed the versions of GPASUYF and Talk, they sounded like they escaped from the 80's. I especially loved the band playing the other end of the stadium, loved Green Eyes and Billie Jean—great arrangement, but hubby thought it sounded more like a parody. We had to leave as LIT2 was ending, and walked the half mile back, clutching my goodies, program, butterflies, $60 jacket and 2 LeftRightLeftRight CD’s. Getting out did not take as long as we thought it would, easier than the Forum in 2006. Overall, loved, loved, loved the show. I felt they brought their A game, lots of energy and Chris had great humor as usual. Hubby said he hit a couple wrong piano keys, but I didn’t notice, I think that’s his playing style, kind of frenetic, right? My only caveat for the next show I go to, is to pay some more dough to get better seats. Other than that, just perfect evening! And thanks for all the videos! I have a lot of viewing to do when I get home from work!

  14. Too bad she couldn't see a reason to mention her own marriage. If it's a GOOP about detoxing or Tracy Anderson's workouts, she's all over her own experience, but this time....nada. I guess she thinks Chris will "kill" her again.
  15. That the brilliant B sides don't have their own double, or triple CD.
  16. Congrats on your first concert! I am going to my second on the 18th. Can't wait, we're fifth row--maybe I'll get some butterflies--now I know to make the attempt!
  17. Chris' voice is simply gorgeous, it can do anything--low, high, anything. Love it. Will's voice was a surprise to me, it's lovely too, I think he should sing more leads, but not TOO many.
  18. Thanks!
  19. How come I can't locate this item on People.com? Anyone know where it is?
  20. I will be going in July (free CD too!) and I hope to see all of that. I think at the least they want their audience to have the same experiences, I don't think it's wrong to do the same things in each city, like a Broadway show. What's the difference?
  21. Sweet Marianne, thanks to YouTube!
  22. I think reading Gwyneth's newsletter, which I do, is like reading a Vogue or Elle magazine. I certainly cannot afford 95% of the things in those magazines, nor do I want to. It's a little bit of fantasy, look at the clothes, look at the jewelry, etc. Same with GOOP, I think; I do like the recipes (her meatball recipe is almost identical to mine) and the books newsletter was nice, and those are things "average" people can enjoy. We can even check out the New York or Paris restaurants and hotels and dream a little, maybe save up to go there, maybe not. It's all in the way you look at it. If you're reading her newsletter and saying, "Damn her, I can't go there!" then you might be taking it the wrong way. Just enjoy the ride.
  23. I do, I feel like it was on purpose, like the producers or camerapeople were tipped off. I thought, "for sure, we're going to get the pan to Gwyneth while Chris is singing, etc." But nothing. Boo hoo.
  24. 2003 live version of "Life is for Living." Definitely. If I had been at that concert, and the evening was over, I would be bawling.
  25. I DO wish LIT II was on the album, I love it with the lyrics and it would have been an awesome opening song, so soaring and joyous-sounding.
