Dayumm, Chris crawling toward Jonny is too sexy for its own good.

I was perusing Popeater.com yesterday and there is a silly story on how Chris acted antisocial at Gwyneth's book party, how he didn't want to speak to anyone or certainly give any interviews. A story like this is to be expected but then I read the comments and was, wow--so much hate for Chris and Coldplay! I was especially disappointed at how people who probably don't even listen to their music (ok, NOT probably--they don't!) write how Chris is gay and how their marriage is a sham. It was quite ugly. Has anyone pinpointed why the Chris-Coldplay hate? Shouldn't it be, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all?"

I believe this. Why would they attempt to ride the rides together and then be photographed together? Maybe they noticed there were photogs there and chose to separate. I wish the paps would leave them alone.

I'm older than a lot of people here, and Coldplay is just one of the things that I enjoy in life, and there are many. One can enjoy something without being obsessed. Imagine, fitting a lot of different things in your life!

Well, let's take a breather from the gossip for a bit... It turns out that Gwyneth's new cookbook, "My Father's Daughter" is out. Since I love to cook and the pictures on Amazon.com made all the food look amazing, I ordered it for $15. The recipes look tantalizing, some of them look a little difficult, like, where do I get duck bacon? (I don't eat duck, so I won't make whatever that's in). More notably--since this is COLDPLAYING--Chris is mentioned NOWHERE...or so I thought. Gwyn goes through the entire book saying "my family" and there are a lot a "we's." She talks about Apple and Moses like a happy mom but they are only shown in pics from the back or the side. I thought, oh well, that's their policy, no talking about the other one, when I saw the acknowledgments at the end of the book, she thanks a ton of people. Then at the bottom of the page is a purple heart with "CM" inside it. Really sweet. So if any of you cook give it a try.

Good list. They got the right CP video. Although I like Gaga's Telephone way better than Bad Romance.

I thought Chris was noticeably absent from this post, but then I realized the subject was being a mom, not being a mom and wife. And of course, we knew she wouldn't mentioin him !

Conan is in repeats this week, I believe. On another note: Dear Gwyneth, I like Goop and all, but PLEASE stop sending me stuff on how to cleanse! I want my insides to remain dirty! No more cleanising nonsense. Show me some cute clothing or how to cook something or for gosh sakes, talk about how great Chris is, but NO MORE CLEANSING BS!

Just because someone is good at something doesn't always mean they are a good teacher. My husband won't teach me to do something on the computer, he'll just take the mouse and do it for me. Seems like Chris' personality may go in that particular direction.

I haven't met them. Should I have? Is it easy?

They look awesome because they are standing cool. Coldplay are one of the best bands to look cool while being photographed. If you stand cool like them you will always be like Coldplay.

Even though I think of the Bee Gees after reading the title of this thread, I can say my love for Coldplay is very deep! I started listening to them right when Yellow hit, and had it played at my wedding receptioin in 2001. I think about them everyday, I come HERE everyday (ok, every other day at times) and the only CDs in my car that I go to regularly are Coldplay, right now AROBTTH is in the CD player now. I loaded my IPOD with all Coldplay and Coldplay-related (Jay Z collab, Kanye collab) songs. My workout room is an ode to things I love, so my Coldplay stuff goes in there. And I am not a fangirl, I am, (cough) 41. Coldplay really means a lot to me.

It was an OK show, the first half was extraordinarily long, and then it was like "and she met Chris Martin, got married and had a baby and got post partem depression." So quick. Why do the Chris years always get so skimmed over? Even Blythe, in what appeared to be a new interview, said nice things about Brad Pitt but nothing was quoted about Chris. That's the only reason to watch this show!

It's a hot dress and everything but it looks like we're getting a little too much of Gwyneth, you know. Don't need that much.

O'Reilly is an enormous blowhard and a tool. I wish he'd just go away and take all his blowhard "patriot" firends with him.

Either Blythe is doing some play or movie or something, or it was a strategic move, since Chris obviously wasn't going to be there, that she stay away, otherwise everyone will be starting up again with the "marriage is in trouble" rumors! What can they say now, Gwynnie's mom is mad at her and didn't go?

Does she have to do EVERYTHING now with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill? Boring! (I hate country music). Any other thoughts on the Conan interview? I missed it.

Since I was trying it the other night, I'll say that the cover of 2000 miles was pretty difficult! So is Amsterdam. Hardest Part is pretty simple though.

I feel so left out! I am stuck here at work and am not allowed at streaming video or music, so I'm reading your posts and wondering....how good can it be??? I just can't wait!

I hate country music, so I skipped listening to it. But didn't Chris write the Tennesee and Me song that's supposed to be in the movie? What if he gets nominated for an Academy award? Just dreaming out loud!

LIT II, mostly because I imagine a "video" in my head (the video they did NOT make). It's kind of a cross between Hard Days Night (scenes on the train) and Phil Collins Take me Home. The boys are on a train in Japan, Chris singing, then various cuts to them out and about in Japan, either with fans, or at various locations. **sigh** But nobody asked me prior to making the video!

Killers are not better than Coldplay, and I really like the Killers.

They were terribly random people! The person who was the kindest was Alexa Ray Joel. You're right, they couldn't get ONE soundbite from Jay Z? Not Michael Stipe?
