  1. It's not working for me either. How very odd, works for some but not for others. Ah well, I like it here!
  2. LOL...Well, it's kinda a funny story leading up to how we met Damon. After the concert we were outside the venue and saw everyone but Damon get in a van and leave. (Dave the drummer rushed by us and Alex the bassist wasn't there - visa problems. The others were the new guitarist and the back-up singers.) The van speeds off and we think we've missed Damon, like he left earlier without us knowing. Not a minute later, the van comes around from the opposite direction it left and parks where it had just been. The driver gets out and walks all cooly to the front door of the venue, like he's trying to play it off. Just then we see Damon walk out of the venue with a large bottle of liquor in hand, and we get our autographs and picture. Now, in my opinion it sure looked like the driver drove off the first time forgetting Damon, the freakin' lead singer! Well, that was certainly lucky for us! My sisters and I are Star Wars fans and we go to some of the conventions. We've talked to Ray Park on several occasions - he even remembers our names! LOL - the last time we saw him we were discussing how crappy of a film Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever was (he was in it), and he completely agreed! He's by far our favorite convention guest! As for Jonny and Will, that was from waiting in the freezing cold for like two and a half hours after a concert. Chris rushed off right after the show with Gwyneth and we had to leave before Guy came out (exams the next day). Later on we heard Guy didn't come to the fans anyway.
  3. So, Will and Jonny look as fabulous as ever, but I look like a big dork. Ugh! I think I was a little too happy...
  4. Me "arm wrestling" Ray Park (Darth Maul from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and Toad from X-Men)! :D :D
  5. That's Damon Albarn, lead singer of Blur. We met him after a concert. He was a little drunk!
  6. Okay, so the only pics I have scanned in my computer right now are ones I've taken with 'notable' people. Here are a few... :D

Let's see... I got in line at 8:30am (I was the second person in line) and the fourth person (after my sister) got there at about 11am. After that people came at a steady pace. I even scheduled my classes this semester so that I would be off the day of the concert. I didn't want to take any chances - I HAD to be up front! It worked, I was front and center! Well worth the wait.
  8. Past, present - what has entertained you over the years? Mine are: The Simpsons Seinfeld ER Spongebob Squarepants Fawlty Towers The West Wing South Park Law and Order Malcom In The Middle Freaks and Geeks Mystery Science Theater 3000 (mainly the years with Joel Hodgson - see avatar! :D ) Late Night with Conan O'Brien Daily Show with Jon Stewart The Sopranos Saturday Night Live Star Trek: The Next Generation Iron Chef

Hey, thanks you two! Wow, Canadians are so nice! :D
  10. Since it's so hard to pick only three, I'll post here, too. In no particular order: -I'll do what Obi-Wan and have the five Star Wars movies count as one -Singin' In The Rain -This Is Spinal Tap -Evil Dead 2 -Trainspotting -Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory -The Usual Suspects -Memento -Hard Boiled (fantastic John Woo Hong Kong film) -Stand By Me -Moulin Rouge -The Young Poisoner's Handbook -Princess Mononoke -Mr. Smith Goes To Washington -Shawshank Redemption -Scarface -U2: Rattle and Hum -Aladdin -Philadelphia -Edward Scissorhands There's so many more that I could put on this list...
  11. Gosh, it's so hard to pick just three! I'll go with: This Is Spinal Tap Singin' In The Rain Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back
  12. Standing is the only way to go, even if youy have a seat! At the two Coldplay concerts I've been to, I was in the front row of the general admission area at one and had a seat at the other. When I had a seat I remained standing during the slower songs and the break when the guys leave the stage before the encore.
  13. D'oh! AROBTHH?! You know what I mean!
  14. Coldplay - AROBTHH Coldplay - Parachutes Blur - Parklife Turin Brakes - The Optimist LP U2 - Joshua Tree

Yep, another refugee from the broken down official board. I must say, though, I'm really digging this board, more-so than the other one! I'm a huge Coldplay fan (why else would I be here! :D ) and a general fan of British, Irish, Scottish, etc. bands. Looking forward to getting to know many of you wonderful people here!
  16. Oops! No, I'm not the same Asha. Just a name I picked randomly - sorry for the confusion!
  17. Coldplay was also on Conan relativley recently, either last year or early this year, I forget. They played 'In My Place'. Conan O'Brien has the funniest late night talk show - period. I love it! I remember a few years back Tom Hanks was on and it was his birthday or something. At the end of the interview, Conan said he had a present for Tom - that he was going to reunite him with an old friend. Out comes this HUGE gift-wrapped box. Tom Hanks opens it and takes out a life-size dog skeleton. Conan says, "It's Hooch!" (from 'Turner And Hooch'). OMG, that had me laughing so hard I was crying!!
  18. I'm a HUGE Blur fan - love everything about them! When I heard many of the new songs for the first time in concert in Austin back in March, I was blown away! :o They sounded awesome live! I can't wait to buy Think Tank!

Ooo, Shallow Grave's a good movie! Quite twisted... :D
  20. When I was a little kid, the movie 'Dreamscape' scared me. And that was about the only one I remember having an effect on me. I practically grew up on horror movies - my mom would rent them all the time (I turned out perfectly normal, I swear!), so no movie nowadays "scares" me. I would call it more getting "freaked out", recently only two fall in that category - 'Signs' and 'The Ring'. I liked 'Signs' because although it's about aliens, I could imagine that really happening (strange, I know!). That would be completely mindblowing to see an invasion of that magnitude unfold on live television. That scene with the alien at the birthday party - gave me the willys!
