  1. It looks like the X stage extends out to about row 25, so in row 19, they would probably have a decent view during the acoustic set.
  2. Ticketmaster sucks. That is all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Angie was hit by his broken Viva bell mallet head. I asked his roadie for the stick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. The first time I met him, during VLV, I had won concert tickets from a radio station that included a meet and greet/group photo. Very brief. The second time, I won tickets from that same radio station this past October. There were only 75 people there, it was also a webcast from the station's studio. During the commercial breaks, the band signed autographs and spoke with the fans. I was in the front, and after he signed my paper, I asked for a photo. He was nice enough to take one. It was so awesome. As for throwing his drumstick, the only time I've seen him do it was during the Today Show. I wasn't there, but watched on tv. I would think he doesn't do it because he Is usually so far back from the crowd on his riser but fans were closer to him during that show. I got mine by asking :)
  5. Thanks :) I talked with him at KROQs Breakfast with Coldplay in October. SUCH a great morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Just an fyi - I was poking around the Hollywood Bowl website and the Coldplay concerts are considered "Lease Events" and it doesn't look like the regular park and ride shuttle service is available. You can click on this link for park and ride information for "Lease Events." http://www.hollywoodbowl.com/visit/lease-events-getting.cfm

  9. You have no idea how tempted I was to just lean over a little more. ;). He smelled nice though. And made sure I was happy with the picture. My poor husband. Lol And it looks like I'm going to see him 3 times May because they just added another Los Angeles show :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I don't see why not. I thought you could use those like a regular Amex card? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. And it's killing me to not buy tix for this presale, but I have $500 in ticketmaster gift cards that I can't combine with Amex, so I'm going to wait for KROQ or live nation presale on Sunday so I can use these gift cards. I'm already going May 1 and 2.
  12. Coldplay just tweeted it and it is now on Ticketmaster. Amex presale starts at 10 today.
  13. The only arena show I've been to that has had GA was Muse. GA just doesn't seem to be done here which is silly, I agree because no one sits anyway and the chairs just crowd things and get in the way.
  14. There is no X stage at the Hollywood show. :(. Unless its a festival or stadium, there is no GA in the US. Everyone has a seat, which is dumb because no one on the floor sits anyway. But the Hollywood Bowl show is an amphitheater and has fixed seats. We have 10th row one night and 20th row the other. At least I get to see Mr. Champion two nights in a row.
  15. Your avatar is nice, but I still like mine the best ;)
  16. Corkus, we will be driving from south Orange County - any tips on which park and ride lots to use? I didn't get parking with our VIP - I got the cheapie VIP tickets...yeah, cheap at $275...but we are going both nights, and I actually got good seats for May 1. I haven't been to the Bowl in almost 30 years...LOL...and that was with my parents. I actually drove right by it a few weeks ago, coming home from Burbank (the ellen show), before that, I couldn't even tell you where it was. Some LA native I am.
  17. You can post it - it's not user specific. :)
  18. I know :( Prices have gone up, but I paid $113 for my 19th row floor ticket to Home Depot Center in July 2009 ($97.50+fees). I think my Verizon Wireless tickets (also July 2009) were in the $130 range for ticket plus fees and for the UCLA show last August, 2011, I paid $150 plus fees and I had an obstructed view ticket. I was lucky enough to have seen them 3 times in 2011 for free, so in my mind, I'm spreading out the cost...Not that it takes away the sting of paying nearly $900 for tickets for my husband and me to see them for these 2 Hollywood Bowl shows. I also bought tickets for San Jose and Tampa. I got seats on the floor for both of those shows, and paid $107 +fees (total $252) for San Jose, and $96 + fees (total $233). Guess ticket prices just depend on the location. But it still is an ouch to pay that much.
  19. Here is a seating chart, showing the individual boxes if you zoom way in. http://hollywoodbowltips.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/HB_SeatChartHigh.jpg
  20. Looks like Pool Circle and Garden Terrace are the seats they are selling as part of the VIP packages. We got row 6 in Garden for the VIP Tour package. Someone else got Pool as part of the VIP Party package. I got Terrace for May 1 ($167) and Garden for May 2 (VIP Tour).
  21. Got Terrace Box 1641 for May 1 - regular tickets ($167) . Got VIP Tour Package in Garden Box 663 for May 2 ($275).
  22. In order to buy the tickets today, you must use an American Express card. There is another presale through KROQ on Friday and then the general sale starts next Monday.
