  1. It's supposed to rain, too. :\ I specifically asked the KROQ girl about cameras and she said no "professional cameras," but I think I'm going to go by Jimmy Kimmel's rules. I will double check when I call them tomorrow to ask about the time change because we haven't received an update from them yet. They called the winners today, but to enter, we had to give our emails, too.
  2. I just won priority tickets from KROQ. The girl said this mini-concert will be at least 5 times bigger than the normal ones. Theyre blocking off part of Hollywood blvd so the earlier you get there, the better. Just some advice...she also said to wear solid dark clothing. Hmmm...
  3. Hey, missed you in Lancaster this weekend. My daughter's team won all 3 games. State Cup Semi-finals, here we come :) Let me know when you are getting there tomorrow.
  4. Probably a keychain or lanyard. Nothing big.
  5. The KIIS contests were a couple of weeks ago. Sorry :(
  6. ^This I like it too. I first watched it at 1am on my iPad and was like, meh. I can't get it to play on my big tv through appletv though :( so I watched it again on my computer this morning and liked it much better bigger. And the complaints about too much kissing? Really? It's been said over and over that Coldplay is not the "Yellow" band of the "olden days." I think the video is edgy, and fun, and yes, another different direction, but come on people, that's NOT a bad thing. At first I thought the editing was a bit choppy, but now I think it just goes along with the upbeat "rave" vibe of the song. I thought it to be a pretty literal adaptation of the song, too, which I liked. Light a fire a fire a spark Light a fire a flame in my heart We'll run wild We'll be glowing in the dark Oooh ooh ooh We'll be glowing in the dark A-woo-a-wooooo All the boys, all the girls, all that matters in the world All the boys, all the girls, all the madness that occurs All the highs all the lows, as the room a-spinning goes We'll run riot, we'll be glowing in the dark Ooooh, ooooh, ooooh So we'll soar Luminous and wired We'll be glowing in the dark
  7. So I was poking around a little to see what Club Nokia really looks like inside. I've been there once, on the floor, but had no idea how big the balcony area was or how the empty floor looks. I'm thinking GA Pit is the stage side of that wall, and GA is the rest of the floor. But as you can see, it's hard to see how large the balcony is with that low roof.
  8. One week from tonight I will be seeing this fine man banging away on his drums. I can't freaking wait. Looking through my pics from last year, I found this one. I love it.
  9. At first, I was like, why didn't I hear about this or buy tickets? Upon further research, I'm kinda glad. LOL Here is the reservation form: And if that's too hard to read, here is the direct link to the reservation form. http://www.grammy.org/files/poty_final_res_form.pdf And it's SOLD OUT...wow.
  10. Bummer I won't be able to watch it because I will BE there :D I hope someone will be able to record it, pretty please???
  11. I paid $167 US for a ticket to the Hollywood Bowl, $275 for a VIP ticket to another night at Hollywood Bowl, and $300 for a GA Pit ticket to the iHeart Radio benefit. I knew they were coming so I saved for months...at last I don't have to pay to travel.
  12. This is what it says on my confirmation email: Thank you for purchasing tickets on Ticketmaster. Your order number for this purchase is XXXXXXXX/T44. Show complete order detail. You will receive your tickets via: Will Call - Tickets held at Will Call can only be retrieved by the cardholder with original credit card of purchase and a valid photo ID with signature such as a state ID, driver's license or passport. Click here for additional details regarding Will Call. You purchased 1 ticket to: _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Coldplay - iHeartRadio Live Benefit Club Nokia, Los Angeles, CA Wed, Feb 8, 2012 07:00 PM And this is what it says on on the Will Call link: Most venues, which sell tickets via Ticketmaster, offer what is called a "Will Call" Box Office, through which you can pick your tickets up right at the event prior to the show. If you were able to choose Will Call for your tickets, then it is available for your event. Box office rules and hours vary. Some may not be open until an hour prior to event time, while others may be open during regular business hours every day. Some buildings advise patrons to arrive very early to pick up tickets to avoid long lines. In the United States, most venues will not let you pick up your tickets from will call until the day of the event. In Canada, many venues will let you pick up your tickets before the day of the event--see below if you plan to pick up your tickets at will call in Canada before the day of the event. In order to pick up your tickets, you may be required to present: Your valid state (if a resident of the United States) or government issued (if a resident of Canada or other country) photo ID, driver's license or passport. A valid ID must be duly issued by a government agency and include a photo and a signature. The credit card you used to purchase the tickets. Your confirmation number. The box office will not release tickets if the name on the ID and credit card does not match the name used to purchase the tickets from Ticketmaster or if the photo on the ID does not appear to be the photo of the person retrieving the tickets. To find out what other types of photo ID are acceptable at the venue's Will Call, please contact the venue directly.
  13. You need a photo id that matches the name on the credit card. My husband bought my ticket with his TM account but put the ticket in my name, but we also both have the same credit card. Hope it works out for you.
  14. Does the credit card she used have your name on it too? If you have the same card, you should be ok.
  15. I did get it at KROQ. Don't think there is a smaller venue possible - it was the size of my living room. Who knew there were so many drumstick options? :laugh3: Maybe I'll get another one to complete my set at Club Nokia in two weeks. :drummer:
  16. I know...maybe he's changed sticks in the last few months? Bash pulled it out of Will's stick holder thing attached to his drum kit and handed it to me in October...Hmmm...
  17. For this show, no idea. For the last show I saw there, the ropes were just in front of the sound booth, which is on the floor. We stood right next to the sound techs. It is a very small place, and reminded me of the Hollywood Palladium.
  18. When I was there before, the whole floor was one price GA. But for crowd control, they created 2 sections on the floor. The earliest arrivals got to be closer to the stage, and were given a wristband that allowed them beyond the rope. We got there just before showtime, so didn't get the special wristband, but were still GA on the floor. I'm thinking they'll do something similar, but those of us with the Pit tickets will be the ones allowed beyond the ropes.
  19. In October, Bash gave me a drumstick from Will's supply.
  20. LFDianne replied to Sjef's topic in Coldplay
The seller says he got them from the X-Factor. Were there even Coldplay helpers at that show? Isn't this something where everyone had an assigned seat? I would think fan security would be pretty tight at an event like that, as opposed to a regular show. But not having seen the UK version of the show, I may just not know what I'm talking about, but I do know when I have been to American music shows, such as American Idol, security is very tight.
  21. I went to the American Music Awards 2 years ago at the Nokia Theater. But I would love to go to the Grammy's. My son has a friend who is nominated for an award. :)
  22. Are you going to the Grammy's? Lucky! How did you get a ticket?
  23. Two weeks from today and I will have some new Will pics for you all :D I am SO excited to see them again!!! I'm even buying a new camera for the event.
  24. I'm sorry Christa. I know the feeling :( Not for this show, but for the iHeart Radio benefit, I could NOT get tickets to show up. Lucky for me, my husband at work managed to get a single ticket for me. I wish there was a better system. Keep trying, though, for the general sale...
