  1. Where do you live? I'm in CA and it's in all the supermarkets here - Ralphs/Kroger, Vons/Safeway, etc. Do you have Trader Joe's? It's sold next to the peanut butter. It's chocolate/hazelnut spread. My kids love it and I have to buy the huge container. We discovered it when we lived in England many years ago.
  2. Now, now, Tracey - what did we say about drinking earlier today? Hmmm??? :drunk:
  3. I had the big twist figured out pretty early - I thought the timing of the story very unrealistic, though. The noetic science parts were interesting, and I'm always impressed by Dan Brown's research, the guy does his homework that's for sure, but the I thought the storyline was a bit weak. As for the last few pages, it's like he was rushing to finish the book, by cramming all those "great mysteries" and things Langdon "just had to see" in, and it just seemed rushed to me. I think Angels and Demons is my favorite book he's written.
  4. When I took my 10 year old daughter to the Miley Cyrus concert 2 weeks ago, one of the ambient songs was Speed of Sound...the best part of the night, imo...but don't tell that to the 10,000 screaming 6-12 little girls who were there.
  5. Tracey, didn't you say something about 10/10 awhile back, too? Keep up the positive vibes people! Did anyone read The Lost Symbol? Noetic science? The theory that, in a very generalized way, everyone's collective thoughts can make things happen? Couldn't hurt.
  6. Ok, now I just showed that promo to my 10 year old daughter and she ran away, saying "no no no no." She likes all those Disney stars (except for JB), but doesn't like Coldplay. I know, people, I know, but she's TEN.
  7. Nancy, I saw those pictures in the Wembley thread - they were amazing, and it's great to have a good picture of Will because he always seems to be behind his drumkit or mics. I don't think I'm going to the Bridge benefit this month...as of now, it's not likely at all.
  8. Did you all see this one that Denise (Iriden) took at Wembley? She posted it in the 19 September live thread. I absolutely adore his smile...
  9. Oh, geez, Denise, you needed to put a disclaimer before these that one should be sitting down. This is an amazing picture of Will. Thanks so much for sharing it.
  10. Jonny's wearing those boots to keep the sheep from nipping at his toes. And his expression is priceless.
  11. Ohhh, Will...I've always loved that pic, and hadn't noticed the cig. The pic is still hot, though.
  12. I'll send an email to them today. Our efforts are not useless.
  13. So how was Fiddler? My son's high school is doing it for their spring musical - you should come ;) My husband is taking the boys to see Rent in 2 weeks - my older son was in Rent at a local high school here last spring. Then Brian, my oldest son, wants to see Spring Awakening next month- lol - my husband and I took our oldest daughter to New York almost 3 years ago and we got tickets for it, not quite realizing what it was about. She was 16 at the time, but it was still a bit, um, risque. And now it's all the buzz for high school students to go see it. I still haven't watched Private Practice from Thursday - the kids are still asleep, so I can watch it now. That kid and Julie on DH - yikes...one creeper family to the next in that house. And I'd watch out if I were Susan - Katherine isn't exactly a non-creeper herself. But it's a Formula 1 weekend. An F1 race lasts 3 days here- so I have the buzz of those cars stuck in my head now. Maybe in 2 years or so when Coldplay tours again, it will coincide with an F1 race in Europe or something and then both my husband and I will be in heaven, lol. He would love to see the races in Germany or Italy. And well, I'd like to see Coldplay just about anywhere.
  14. I've read that thread with all the wedding speculation - too funny the things they've come up with... I think it's just the band's email address. I know several of us emailed a few days ago, asking for a band statement about the cancellation but that was before the new tour dates were announced. Maybe we could now ask for a reschedule instead of a statement :)
  15. My momma always said if you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all. Why exactly does this seem to bother you so much? Yes, I know people can go to any thread and post anywhere they want. But if you didn't have a ticket to Tampa, aren't planning on coming to Tampa, why do you come to this board and tell us what to do? Really, is it any of your concern what we say to each other? I just don't get it - people posting not very nice things just to...what? Have us all say "hey, that TyM218 is right! Let's just get over it. Why didn't we think of that?" Would that make you feel any better? And, wow, I'm impressed you found a youtube clip to try to convince us to "get over it." You must have a lot of free time on your hands.
  16. Cooky, I"m glad you clarified what kind of "suit." Otherwise, people might think of uh, a um, different kind of suit. Not me, of course. :wink3:
  17. I think we should email the new address on coldplay.com [email protected]. That's the first time I've seen an email address other than oracle or anchorman. Maybe they finally have a real "band" email address - they've been pretty lacking in ways for fans to communicate more directly with them. I say we spam them, and all use the same subject - something like Please come back to Tampa, or something to catch their attention ;) And the more I think about it, they may be thinking of rescheduling - if Coldplay never announced a cancellation, but livenation let us know it was cancelled...then maybe Coldplay's management will reschedule it either before or after Latin America (I won't make the "LA" mistake again), and didn't want to 1) hold on to our money for another 6 months, and 2) maybe they are going to change the venue, and in that case, using our Ford Amphitheater tix wouldn't work. Better to issue refunds and do another sale, in my opinion...and they may be leaving some flexibility in their Latin America schedule to see how ticket sales go, too. Believe...
  18. Well said, Cooky. I still am having a hard time with the person who said Latin Americans are getting concerts they shouldn't even be getting...
  19. Ohhh, Will.... he looks like such a kid in that picture...I think I need crop out that other guy who is in that picture though. ;)
  20. And why shouldn't they "even be getting" concerts? Who are to be making that kind of statement? Coldplay knows exactly what they're doing, and I'm sure they are perfectly capable of figuring out their tour schedule and how much of a "break" they need. And "feel happy you are at least getting something?" What on earth kind of statement is that? Europe had 60something concerts, the US and Canada had 70 or so...South America and Mexico get 7, and they are not deserving of more because you think the band needs a break?
  21. Ohh, how fun would that be??? My husband wants to go to Argentina, not for Coldplay but just because...I don't think I can convince him that Coldplay needs to be part of his dream, lol. And I did price airfare from Los Angeles to Mexico - only $256 from LAX to Guadalajara non-stop (and it's only a 3 hour flight), but $411 to Monterrey, with one or two stops, but my husband just rolls his eyes at me. I'm not ready to totally let the Tampa dream die.
  22. Oh, I blabbered like a stupid fangirl. When they left one group photo, Chris walked over to us, and we said hi to him, then my husband called out to Will, so he walked over to us. And there he was, standing about a foot away from me, I said Hi Will, he said Hello. And I died right there. Then I, um, stared at him, and quickly thought, oh shit, what now? Do I hold out my hand and introduce myself? Like he'd ever remember my name or even care? So then I said, "I was at the show last night and thought it was great." He said "Thank you. I hope you enjoy the show tonight." Then I was barely standing at that point, and said "I know I will, this is my 4th show this tour and I keep coming back" (yes, totally lame, I know) He smiled that beautiful smile, and I died again, lol. He said something like "We're grateful we have such fantastic fans." Then the people were tellling us to group together for our picture. He and I walked to the back, we're both tall, and they told us to crowd together. Um, ok, if you insist, so I was smooshed up against him, and by now, I totally thought I was going to pass out. After the picture, he looked over at me and said "We have to go now. Thanks for coming." And he left me. I found my husband and was all, "oh my god, I just met Will, and I freaking talked to him, and he talked to me." Then Jackie was telling us to Time to go folks, go to your seats. When we got to our seats, they were right on the aisle, next to the butterfly blowers...and when the boys went to C stage, they walked up our aisle. I got hand slaps from Chris and Will and Chris actually came over to the girls next to us in our row and signed their program, so I was right next to him again. My pics from that were really bad, I had my zoom lens on and they were *too* close to us, believe it or not. I took all those pics in the link in my sig. It was just an amazing night, and that was when I decided I *had* to see them again, and went to Tampa...
  23. Awww... After talking with so many people while we were waiting, I was by far the biggest fan. Some people started asking me trivia-it was funny. I was dying and after i talked with Will, I seriously felt weak. It was amazing yet so nerve-wracking at the same time.
  24. I've been checking flights to both Guadalajara and Monterrey from Los Angeles- it's only $256 from Los Angeles to Guadalajara, and $411 to Monterrey. What to do, what to do...
