Gwyneth...
Ok, but if you personally have a problem with the picture that a scummy paper took of someone's house, why did you start the thread about the "Superhouse" in the first place? You posted the article here - I would never even have seen it or known about it if it wasn't posted on this board. Maybe it falls under your job as mod to look for articles, which is totally understandable, but if you are so opposed to an invasion of privacy, you could have had someone else post it or skipped it altogether. Isn't it propagating the privacy invasion by forwarding an article like that?

Gwyneth...
My point was that Mimixxx posted the article and pic that was in the Daily Mail and there were 10 plus pages of responses. No one gave a rip that the pic was posted, but just how huge the house would be. The pic is out there. Why is a fan posting their own picture different than a mod posting what is probably the same pic regardless of the source? It's ok for a mod but not a fan? And a google search will tell you where many celebs houses are.

Um what about this thread a few weeks ago? Where they live isn't really a big secret. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61120

24/25-Oct-09: Chris Martin to perform solo at 2009 Bridge School Benefit in Mountain View, CA
I drove up the the Bay Area nearly every weekend for a school year and a half. ..I was in college at UCLA and my then-boyfriend-now-husband was working in San Francisco. It was a 5 1/2 - 6 hour easy, yet boring, drive, just pretty much straight up I-5. Or you could fly pretty inexpensively, from Orange County to San Jose, it's only $49 each way, but then you'd need a car once you're there. I'm sure the price is the same from LAX or Burbank.

24/25-Oct-09: Chris Martin to perform solo at 2009 Bridge School Benefit in Mountain View, CA
I was online to buy tickets this morning, but I keep going back and forth on going to the concert. I like the acts, but I'd want to go Saturday night, but my friend who lives in the Bay Area can't go Saturday. So I don't know. It was funny this morning though. Sec 100-103 seats (orchestra) are $150, and they kept popping up as available, but after I entered the security words, there would be no seats available. I kept refreshing and every once in a while, they'd show up. There are still seats available in the second tier for $75 and lots of lawn seats for $39. Flights from Orange County on Southwest to San Jose are only $49 each way, and to Oakland are $54 each way (my friend lives near Oakland). But then I think, as much as I'd like to see Chris, do I really want to see him solo? I love the whole band and it would just be too weird to see Chris without the boys. What kind of setlist would he play? Coldplay songs or his own songs? Even though he's performing solo, would he have any back up accompaniment like other solo artists or would it be just him and his piano or guitar? I don't want to go to the show to try to compensate for an Coldplay concerts, if that makes sense... What to do what to do...but that being said, I do really like Sheryl Crow and No Doubt and we just saw Jimmy Buffet a couple of months ago...

20 September 2009: Coldplay profiled on South Bank Show (VIDEOS IN FIRST POST)
Please please can someone give me a rundown? I started scrolling through posts, but you guys were busy! Will the show be uploaded somewhere in the next few days? I'm in California, and my daughter had a soccer game at 1:30pm here, which is 9:30 in England, so I missed the show. I know there was a live streaming broadcast online somewhere, but I don't know how to record video with a timer on my computer...(iMac, btw). Thank you so much - maybe this will help with the Coldplaying withdrawals.

Oh my God Tracey! You talked to Jonny AND Will AND Chris!!! Were you just dying??? Too bad about the pics, but this was their chill out time. But how freaking amazing that you were THERE with Chris? And why the FREAK do people enter contests when they don't even really know who is who or anything? It was like that with the meet and greet I won - we were standing with people who basically had no idea who they were. But whatever, I suppose there are bands that I like, but I couldn't name the band members or identify anyone but the lead singer. It just seems a waste to us huge fans that well, there are others more uh, deserving? I can't wait to hear more about your trip - I saw some of the pictures that Mark took...looked like a lot of fun. Oh, and is Will's wife any real competition for me? I mean, I do have the age thing over her, but maybe he likes more mature women? ha ha ha

Kayleigh, you can go to page 43 of the Jo Whiley thread and there's an upload link there. I got it on my itunes and it's now on my ipod. Shiver and the hour long set are in different posts, but both are on page 43.

19-Sep-2009: Wembley Stadium, London - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos
He's done it at many concerts - with is "I'm sorry Will" announcement in Chula Vista, and apologized to the band because he "fucked up a chord at the beginning of the song...it's true" in Irvine in July. And I think he did it last November at the Honda Center - my husband even commented on it. lol Just Chris's thing, I suppose.

Yeah, well, it's been ten years - get over it already! The psych in me says it's time to let it goooooo.

~*~ The Official Will Champion Appreciation Thread ~*~
It's funny they keep bringing it up - it's no secret that Chris fired Will then begged him to come back, but why even go there anymore? It was ten years ago, for freak's sake...Will is amazing, the band is amazing, why talk now about "what could have been?" Anyway, I miss them already. boo hoo  I was thinking of going to see Chris in that Bridge School Benefit next month, it's easy for me to get to, but I don't know if I want to see Chris without the rest of the band. In my opinion, they're a package deal.

I got an email from Anchorman!!! YAY!
I've emailed him about something a while ago and I got a reply. Dorky me, printed it out and saved it with my concert stuff-cds, butterflies, tickets, setlist I got from their sound guy, the daily schedule that was on their dressing room wall...very cool that he responded.

Our little Tampa world is awesome, even though I live in California. Welcome.

What will you miss most about the Viva era?
I'm going to miss the butterflies - loved them and have quite a nice collection. I'm going to miss the live photos and videos that people have posted from the shows. I'm going to miss the constant upcoming concert excitement that existed on these boards. All the people here at coldplaying.com added so much to the tour, and really created a nice community to come share all things Coldplay with. I don't know if it can be recreated with another tour, especially since this one touched so many people all over the world, and created a special bond. I absolutely loved the four concerts that I was lucky enough to go to on this tour (and even though Tampa was disappointing, I'm glad Chris was able to have the time to rest and recoup for the rest of the tour). Meeting the band was an amazing dream come true and the feeling of that concert just moments after I shook Chris's hand and talked with Will, true euphoria. Even though they were performing for thousands of fans at each concert, they made it feel intimate with the way they interacted with the crowd - not just the B and C stages, but the little gestures aimed at their fans during a show, the winks, the smiles, the nods.

Dang, are they going to squeeze in Tampa? I need to know before I buy tix to the Bridge Benefit concert tomorrow morning to see Chris solo.

Maybe we'll all be invited to Jonny and Chloe's wedding. Now that the tour is over, I'm sure they'll be planning their big day.

What will you miss most about the Viva era?
Yeah, except for ignoring all the people who had tickets to the Tampa show. They could have at least issued a band statement regarding the final cancellation of Tampa. All we got was a notification from livenation saying the postponed show was cancelled and the credit would be refunded. Something from the band would have taken some of the sting out of the final cancellation - instead of just blowing us all off. I love the band, have been a fan for years, and still am a huge fan, but even if they just issued a "hey, we're really sorry that there is no way to reschedule" would have been better than nothing.

Live photoblog from Wembley on the 19th (Saturday). [aka Thread of the F5 abusers!]
I have to go take my daughter to her soccer game now. Won't be back until the concert is almost over, I'm sure. Anyway, it's been fun, and I'll be catching up when I get back home. Hopefully there will be a shout out for us
