  1. Welcome to the club....:D....and no, you won't be the oldest, even in the pit....:P:P I'm 43 years old, 3 kids, and I've been obsessing on Coldplay like I haven't since I was 18 (and got into this little band none of my friends had heard of called U2.) Check out my signature to see how totally bonkers I've gone for Coldplay! And as far as the pit goes, All of those concerts listed below, save 3, were seen from right up in the front so you can tell my opinion on it. If you are into the show and the music- then dancing and singing and being surrounded by equally crazy fans is the best. My husband & I and some other friends from the boards are going to be lining up early for the Alpine Valley show- so if you are too, don't hesitate to introduce yourself!
  2. Don't worry greeneyes, I'm old enough to BE your mom:dozey: so tell her it's OK, I'll watch out for ya!:) Okay all you babes in the woods......I'll be there with a friend who isn't much of a fan AT ALL!, so I'll definitely need to connect with some fun Coldplayers. I'll bring some extra glow sticks and some vino (clevery disguised in a red Solo cup) into the parking lot for the wait if anyone wants to share.;) Connecting with other people from the boards once we're actually in line also makes it easier to leave for a little while to take a bathroom break or refresh that flask without permanently losing your place in line. Most of us took breaks from the really early que at the warchild gig and it worked out beautifully. ~Kelly
  3. Hi Chloe, Kelly here....my friend and I are going to sort of be flexible.....like we did at the warchild gig...sort of cruise by the venue randomly during the day. If there's anybody in line, that's when we stop and park it there for the remainder. I've warned my not coldplay crazy friend that for her it might be a long day but she claims not to care.:) If you come to the que early as well, don't hesitate to introduce yourself as a fellow coldplayer!! I'm easy to spot...female, very short blond hair.
  4. Hey, gmalool- watch the dissing of the 50 year olds...I'm quickly headed that way and I'm one serious B.A. Coldplay fan....& I'll be the pit!! Just giving you a hard time of course.:laugh3::P:laugh3::P:laugh3: Seriously though, thanks for the reminder on the yellow glowsticks, I almost forgot. I hope there's enough of us still doing it -I'm going to stick some extras in the suitcase. If we all bring as many as possible to share we could have that pit looking pretty awesome. ~Kelly
  5. Our LIJ sign....... Mel, Lori & I held this up in Detroit the night before the election -and Chris came over and sang it this way.......then we screamed like the silly little girls we are.....fun!!!
  6. I should have 5 spare to give away ....all by end of July. USA
  7.:dance: Just when I thought things were a tad quiet from the Coldplay headquarters they drop a little happybomb on us! I love Coldplay.:dance:
  8. I love the "postcards" banner idea....I think that might get them to stop when pulling into the venue or come out during soundcheck better than any other sign. At the Detroit show in Nov. I changed some words from LIJ and put on a banner & Chris sang it that way. I'm gonna put my thinking cap on to try to come up with a cool design. Let me know if you've got any ideas and we can bounce them off each other. 18 days ! ~~Kelly
  9. Bummer, but I would think you could sell them at the venue and recoup SOME of your $ if not all....
  10. Hi greeneyes, I'm flying to Atlanta for the show and I'll be showing up early to get a good spot in the pit. I have been sort of wondering what banner I should make for this show.... anyway, depending on how early you make it to the venue, I'm easy to recognize...I have very short, very blond hair. From your avi it looks like I am a leeeeetle bit older than you:P -but if you don't mind hanging out with a 40 something coldplayer, be sure to say Hi! ~~Kelly
  11. Okay....#1 song on my top 25 is Shrimp and Aubergine ???? by Chris, live in the BBC 1 Studio ? :stunned::stunned: with 22 plays?.. What the????? I must have some weird setting on my itunes because that is simply not right....
  12. What really bothers me is I dislike most of the pople on that list as well! ...I kept thinking why is my Chrissie on there?
  13. The writer's of Family Guy are sarcastic, negative PoooPooo heads. So there.
  14. This is my 7 yr old during the show... waved his poster, danced like a maniac, and loved it. All kids are different but.... I'd say take your little brother, have fun with him and be proud your teaching him to have good taste in music!!!!!
  15. Thanks Michie....I saw this on the ebay listing and didn't really think much of it... then I saw it on her here... Now, I can see how to wear it so it doesn't look like a big blue potatoe sack...it's really cute with the sheer tights.
  16. Proof that sweet, polite fans get the ColdplayCarma they deserve!! The pictures of you guys are absolutely gorgeous and the banner looks UNBELIEVABLE. Way to Go !!!
  17. Hey Georgia peaches, I'm coming to the fine little town of Atlanta to see Coldplay !!!:dance: ....who all is going to be in line early with their pit tickets to get up front....I wish we had some kind of subtle hand signal to recognize other coldplayers eh? I didn't get such a good reception at the War Child gig when I went bounding up all dorkily and said "Hi, are yall Coldplay fans?" Of course that's becasue they were all snotty Killers fans, but it still has made me a little gun-shy. Anyway, who's gonna be a die hard and que up early ???....(I've got a newbie coming to the show with me but she HAS been warned.......)
  18. Don't worry, we DO think it's cool, we're just giving you a hard time. I'll join in so you don't feel weird... I have my own familial 6 degrees of celebrity separation. My grandmothers first cousin was Rosemary Clooney (famous singer in the 50's...starred in The Poseidon Adventure...etc....not exactly cool buuuuuut..... She IS the aunt of George Clooney. We're related by marriage as well, not by blood.
  19. Hi Liz...me too!!!!!!!! Lori, I hope our tix come soon cuz I'm stressing with ya!
  20. ^^^ That pic must've sent you Jonny girls riiiiight over the edge!!!!! Even a Chrissy -girl recognizes gorgeous when she sees it! :stunned:
  21. I took this pic on the X&Y tour so it's pretty Frotastic.... ...... but those blue eyes can't be stopped by fuzzy focus, crap lighting or off-center composition can they !!!!!
  22. I'm glad they are having a break with their daddy !!! - I hope they were left alone by paps or otherwise.
  23. I hate to even think it, forget posting it...but could it be they just didn't sell enough tickets to justify 2 PA shows? Scranton was the more sluggish selling of the two so they consolidated to 1 show in Hershey which will likely fill better ????
