Yeah, didn't we get like 2-3 tracks here before moving to JT? I can't remember :P. I don't remember threads getting shut down, though, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. He's been wrong before, so all I say is take what he says with a grain of salt and maybe don't treat him like a Coldplay oracle. He has connections, definitely, but the info he gets is sometimes wrong, so I'm not going to put all my eggs in the locust basket. Also, what he said this time today is half common knowledge and half not really how leaks *normally* go. He could be right or wrong. Of course I can't remember the one or two times he's passed something off as information and it was totally wrong right now, but I do know he's said one or two things that haven't turned out to be completely true. End of my discussion about locust.

I feel like most of the people on this board, or a lot of them, like Coldplay and then EITHER Muse or Radiohead very much. I'm definitely on the Radiohead side of the debate, but I have nothing against Muse, I'm just not as into them.

You might have missed some of his more...imprecise predictions :P. I totally agree, he's been right a lot, and I think he has connections into knowing certain things. But I don't think he knows everything, as he's been wrong several times I think, or at least passed off information as from higher up when it really was wrong, or something surmised from public information. Just my feeling--I think he's connected in some way to the industry, but not so far as to necessarily know Japanese box shipment dates.

I don't trust locust7 farther than I can throw him anymore, he's told us nothing we couldn't already figure out ourselves or that's already been said hundreds of pages back, and what's the source on this EMI stream rumor tomorrow? Not believing that til I see a source, either. PS: apparently CD stores don't get the CDs in the storage rooms til one or two days before release, and they come in unmarked boxes. This has been said a few times in this thread as well...food for thought, anyway, I'm not sure what actually goes down in CD stores. More likely to come from a factory than a back room anyway.

Calendar updated with the news that unheard MX tracks will air one per day on Dutch radio. I kept the 25th as the US release date simply because there doesn't seem to be a huge consensus on what day it's actually hitting shelves amongst retailers and Tuesday is the traditional US release date for physical albums. I think it's probably the 24th, but some stores might not put it out til the 25th out of habit?

Someone doesn't fully understand how most leaks work... Reviewers aren't the main source of leaks, their copies are heavily protected most of the time, and shipments to stores are definitely a source of leaks, but it's just as likely for a CD to escape out of the factory in which it was made before shipments even go out.

That's...wow :dance: But your source link doesn't link to any page that tells us that. Still, I think a "controlled" leak like this from them is actually pretty brilliant.

I'm...not convinced this has anything to do with leaks at all. Maybe it's happened before, but statistically I don't think this is the way most major things leak these days. Just because 30-sec previews are on Amazon or iTunes or whatever don't mean that the whole files are up there as well and we're only hearing 30 seconds of them. The previews must be created from the tracks and uploaded as separate entities, I can't see it any other way. I think the timing of previews showing up online and the timing of a leak of an album are sheer coincidence.
