  1. i locked myself out of my dormroom and car today, so i had to call campus security to get my door open :disappointed: i guess that kinda counts as losing your keys, although i did know where they were. they were on the other side of a locked door.
  2. my problem is that my happiness is at best, borderline cheesy and sentimental, and my drama is at best borderline melodramatic and sappy. language and character development i tend to be good at, but my situations tend to be painfully over-sentimental
  3. haha, that's definitely true :D. i'd try more out if i had more time to do it in. i took a pretty serious creative writing course this term, and it was really helpful, but encouraging and depressing at the same time. encouraging in the sense that most people in the class were utter crap, and depressing in that i learned just how impossible it is to please more than a select few of your readers. i also have a really hard time being funny in prose, so everything i write is horribly depressing. screenplays and films i'm only able to be funny, though, or attempt to be funny...gotta love spoofs :P
  4. in some ways, once you see it, you'll never want to see it again. it's going to get you really angry and really pessimistic, and then it's going to make you sob like a baby. it's definitely an ordeal. it was worthy of its best picture award, but its not really a movie you can see that many times IMO. and THE KITE RUNNER. oh man. but read the book first, you have to promise me that.
  5. i tend to write my future rather than my present, which can get annoying because sometimes i can end up convincing myself that's how it's going to be when i get older. i tend to get ideas that interest me, but then i think of the book already written or the movie already made that is exactly that storyline :dozey:. or maybe they're not exactly the same, but the parallels would be so obvious that it's not worth it.
  6. you haven't seen garden state?! if you like scrubs, though, it's nothing like that besides the fact that it has zach braff in it. also i am sam. that's a killer. but really, crash. nothing beats that one for me. we watched it in class this year and everyone was a wreck, even the fratboys.
  7. i wish i had more IDEAS to write every day!. getting the good ideas has always been my biggest problem.
  8. haha, that's definitely the truth about the varying moods. i definitely appreciate green day, but i haven't listened to them in years, and i have to be in the right mood. it's going to be two different types of fans voting the next time around. and i'd never vote against coldplay or coldplaying for anyone, even radiohead or the strokes. if it was just artist vs. artist, the choice between coldplay and the beatles would pain me, but i'd have to go coldplay, maybe.
  9. haha, yeah, that's how dreams work a lot of the time. i was just kidding anyway :P is the lawsuit stuff really all over? i've been really busy lately, and i'm in the middle of nowhere PA, but is it like in newspapers and on TV and stuff? i've only heard of it through the board and the official site. i'm actually surprised its as big a deal as it is, because until that "coldplagarism" thread popped up, i thought it was just another loser trying to get attention and that it was one of those things that was forgotten a few months later.
  10. i like the red flavor of pretty much anything. cherry, strawberry, raspberry...if it comes in red, i order red :P @nick: haha, and even MORE of a true fan when you keep the beat-up copy and listen to that one, but go out and buy another copy to keep in mint condition!
  11. oh damn, i thought it had THE interview in it :disappointed:. ah well. haha, i wonder what i looked like :P. i guess i have had dreams about coldplayers before, but usually i either knew what they looked like from the pictures thread or i'd met them in real life before the dream
  12. i'm not sure if i really understand this concept...
  13. i'll report back if he says it's alright tomorrow. i know that lots of people are thinking about him and would like to know too
  14. digipak, so it's now the grape flavor of viva la vida. i would have preferred cherry.
  15. my viva CD flies out of the case all the time...i know it's going to drop and crack someday. and my case is all banged up like that too...at the today show it was in my backpack and a bottle of vitamin water burst and it soaked it up.
  16. hahahahahaa, i was in your dream, zoe?! that's hysterical! (i'm glad i was at the gig, though. and that i got his autograph and that he remembered me :sneaky: :P) and yeah, those pictures were fabulous. and isn't that the issue with the HILARIOUS interview?
  17. :D that's definitely what it feels like!
  18. i've been texting with him a bit. i don't want to go and be the anchorman without his consent, but he's resting, seeing as it's quite late/early there.
  19. AHH! that's AWESOME! :stunned: i've always loved the X&Y artwork anyway, but that's just epic! :D
  20. oh my god, semy. this is why you haven't been around. i hope by the time that i talk to you next you've been to the hospital, because this doesn't sound like a GP thing. i hope they know exactly what it is and how to fix it, because you're kinda freaking me out. anything with not getting enough air means you need to get to the ER as soon as possible. you better be there. i'm webMD-ing this, but it's not like i can really talk to you about what i'm finding anyway. i'm thinking about you, and i hope this all goes away soon. drop me a line when you feel up to it? :\
  21. oooooh, a butterfly tree!! if our tree wasn't already so jam-packed with ornaments, i'd put on butterflies. maybe i'll get a little one and put butterflies on it :wacky:
  22. FINISHED *maniacal laugh* home tomorrow!
  23. visit the bakery! :D even if you get your ticket in advance online, you still have to wait in a queue to get on the actual thing if it's busy, like on a weekend. semy and i were under the impression that we would bypass the line if we booked online, but it turns out that the line to buy tickets was very short and the line to get on the eye was very long, and all ticketholders need to be in that line. anyway, just an FYI.
  24. crash. i have never cried harder at a movie. it's insane.
