  1. hahaha! i've never thought of guy as shakespeare, but i see why you would! but really, look at this: does that look like guy or does that look like guy?
  2. hahaha what i find weirder about that movie is that joseph finnes looks shockingly like guy berryman in the current viva la vida era. so i can never get it out of my head that gwyneth and guy are in love when i watch that movie. random thought: if it was guy or will or jonny that had married a gwyneth-esque superstar and if chris married a nobody, would guy/will/jonny be as paparazzi stalked as chris is? i don't think they'd become the "face" of the band like chris is, necessarily, since that's usually the lead singer's role, but what would that mean for coldplay? i kinda wonder how that would have affected the band.
  3. ooooh :wideeyed: now i just need to find some time to listen :bigcry: maybe this weekend.
  4. gossip and speculation. it does sound like gwyneth described there, but it's all just gossip and speculation either way. why do so many people hate her, though? i've just never understood it :bigcry:
  5. oooh, you're right, i think! jen...are you around? or does someone else want to do it that's not me? :P
  6. oooh tomorrow :wideeyed: last time it was an email into debs that someone did that got us on the official site, i'm pretty sure. if i hadn't bombarded debs's inbox with emails all season, i'd do it, but anyone else willing to make her aware this time? who did it last time? YAY COLDPLAYING!
  7. ^. i was kinda kidding about the nametag stickers, but it would make things easier, i guess :P yeah, i don't like the names idea either precisely for that reason. it's easy to physically do, but that's not the problem as people have suggested. it's all about the exclusion possibility, and that would be sad. as for the tshirts themselves, i think it would be best if we just ran a design contest later in late spring like we did for the postcards project and leave all matters to anyone who wants to try and submit a design. i'm all for what the majority rules are, i don't care if that means we show up in potato sacks or pleather catsuits. it just seems like the whole thing was getting petty and too hyped up too fast to bother working things out the way we had it going, so i think we should vote on full designs rather than every little aspect of it. if we go on about every aspect, someone's always going to be unhappy.
  8. i asked for a luggage set :D i'd agree with marek and somehow wish that all coldplayers could get tickets to wembley and flight tickets from where they live and we could all go together :P. we wouldn't even fill half the stadium, either, since it's so huge! :D
  9. haha, poor ian. yes, we are cwazey :wacky:. but that's why i love coldplaying :nice: if we were allowed to bring them into the venue, and i assume we are not, i'm pretty sure it's possible to make customized umbrellas on cafepress  come to think of it, we could almost definitely make customized ponchos and pretty much anything on there. god, i hope we just stick to tshirts :P
  10. i always took that story to mean that he got in a fight with some pap or something outside and not gwyneth, but that's just me. i've only heard the version he told on triple M, too, and maybe he told it with different implications in another venue some other time. i think its a pretty hilarious story, though . poor chrissy.
  11. hahahahahahahaa. that one was a good one, mark. but you know, RAIN PONCHOS! sexy, huh? but look, it's YELLOW.
  12. yeah, i wasn't thinking it would be cold at all in the gig itself (with all those PEOPLE all over the place, it's going to be pretty hot, i would say!), but waiting in line overnight if necessary and in the morning was when i thought people were worried about. at any rate, i think it'll be fine, just like you said :D ugh, rain would be the worst, for line-waiting purposes AND gig purposes, since apparently the roof can't fully cover the venue...and most of us are standing in the part that i would imagine is perpetually uncovered.
  13. hahaha, exactly, mark. i guess we're sorta like a bandcamp anyway! :P @carla: it wouldn't be hard to put 80 usernames on the back of a shirt--you just have to use a smallish font, but it would still be readable. lots of highschools over here have "class tshirts" when they graduate, and the names are listed on the back...and sometimes it's hundreds of names on there. it's just an idea, though. i feel like it would be too easy to mess up and get wrong and leave someone out. also, since we'll be using cafepress, probably, everyone will be able to order the shirt in their own size. we might even be able to make a regular tshirt and a girly-fitted shirt in the same color and everything (because i'm pretty sure it doesn't cost anything to create and upload designs, you just have to pay for the one or however many you order for yourself. that's the beauty of all this). and i know, everyone's going on about how cold it will be! i know weather can be iffy in september, but being from new england...i think i'll be able to handle it . if it was november or december i would worry, but...september? just some sweatshirts or a polar fleece should do, i would think.
  14. in terms of the usernames on the shirts, i was thinking that we could get ALL the usernames printed on the backs of EVERY t-shirt :D. that way it's especially cool and united. the only thing is that it would be really sad if someone got left out and their names didn't get on the shirt, either by accident or because of changed plans or something. i think that kind of thing is up to the people that want to try their hand at designing, though. as for everyone with their own usernames...we could just get a big box of these: :P
  15. ^yeah, chris has said that too. i think that you're probably right, but i don't think it would be worth it, because chris seems to take things really, really hard. he'd probably spend a year or so in some deep depression, and THEN we'd get an album after another year of recording. and masterpiece or not, i bet it would be astonishingly different than anything else they've ever put out. not that that's a bad thing, of course, but i think it would be so incredibly different that it would change the face of the band. but what do i know?
  16. like alison said, you'll be fine :D. all you have to do is have it IN THE MAIL by december 22, it doesn't have to be received by then. i should go and make that more clear in the first post. debs isn't even delivering them until after the new year, so i assume that anything she gets up until the date she delivers them, which is still a long way off, she'll deliver :nice:
  17. i hate this week :bigcry:
  18. i'm so glad so many people are sending :bigcry: i hope there are LOTS more, too!. tell everyone to send! wouldn't it be awesome if they got a hundred? :wacky: in the other thread, something like 186 people said they would send at least one card, and i think it would be superawesome if they got that many cards (or more, if some of those people send two!)
  19. zoe, that used to be the old coldplay store before the viva days. i bet that it still works, but i doubt it can be counted "official" anymore if they've jumped ship to a new retailer. i've ordered from them before in the past though, and all went well. (and i have the patch, but i dont want to use it up, so it just sits on my desk :wacky:)
  20. i just watched love actually for the millionth time :nice: i can never get enough of that movie. it's one of my favorites ever, which is funny, because it's pretty mushy. but christmas, london, intertwined storylines...all my favorite things!
  21. you did that in POWERPOINT?! :stunned: some people can do some amazing things in powerpoint, like whole animations and all that. i can just get words to woosh from one side of the slide to the other :P.
  22. the tags are around the URL, but it often takes a while for it to show up as embedded.
  23. me too :bigcry:. i need to watch it again soon. that's the movie that made me realize i wanted to study film :nice:
  24. i know! even though i know they're not going to take this opportunity, and i do understand his general reasons for not wanting to be brangenlina and having his kids faces all over the media, i DO think he needs to lighten up a bit. i bet they havent stood outside in the daylight together for more than 5 seconds in years, and i think it's a bit much :P
