i can't make a july calendar, but there was talk of one from semy. but july is mostly concerts anyway, so i'm thinking its not as necessary...

i can't really upload my videos to youtube for some reason, so slowly but surely, they'll be up on facebook! i think everyone will be able to see that if i link to it... right now i'm putting up the first take of "in my place," the one where chris stopped the song in order to talk to the little boy with the broken arm. i'll post the link once it's up!

Lore, if they happened to be there when i was, i wouldn't have made it to amsterdam. i would have died right then and there. i decided not to be annoying and ask a million dumb questions, but my mom could tell that i was trying to figure out which couch they sat on in the VIP room etc etc :P

ok, so on saturday night, i flew from JFK to london and then amsterdam. for the JFK to london part of the trip, i got first class and VIP access because my mom's best friend's husband is the vice president of british airways. the entire thing was SOO nice and mindblowingly fancy, but also a little weird. anyway, i got this person assigned to me at JFK that followed me around and escorted me places (which was REALLY weird), but she does that for all the famous people. she took me to the concorde room, which is like this freakishlt fancy first-class passenger lounge for VIPs, and said "oh, yes, all the celebrities come in here, from mother theresa to madonna. i'm just sorry that there's no one famous here now." i said "oh, that's ok, but it's just that my favorite band is in new york now, and it would have been hilarious if they were here when i was." she asked me "oh, who's your favorite band?" i said "coldplay." she looked as though the name stirred something in memory, so i elaborated: "you know, chris martin, the one married to gwyneth paltrow?" her face lit up. "ohh, them!! yes, they gave a concert on monday, right? such nice people, and what cute kids! yes, they were here on sunday; they sat right here." and i looked like this: :dead: i know it's not like i met them or anything, but...THE SAME ASSISTANT WAS ASSIGNED TO CHRIS AND GWYNETH THAT WAS ASSIGNED TO ME. :freak:

ahh, i told him to look for it online. that's definitely him in the canada hat. how i wish i wasn't flying today! i just want to upload videos and write up my experience and watch the official today show vids...grr. cell phone pics you can do through facebook by getting the "mobile" application and then sending them to [email protected], but it's not a huge deal :D

my brother posted the one video he took of "lost!" on facebook! i hope you can see it... i tried to upload one of my thirteen to youtube overnight, but it failed :angry:. i'm going to try my damndest to upload them over the next two months, at the very least to sendspace. and if i can, on the plane tonight i'll write out a bit more of an official review of my experience and post it once i get internet in holland! :dance:

i have several long reasons why i can't :sad: mostly because i'm leaving the house until 2AM my time in about 15 minutes, because i'm leaving the country for a month tomorrow, and i have 17 videos and it would take about three years to upload them all. however, right now i'm compressing the folder, and hopefully it'll be done compressing soon, and then i'll upload the folder to sendspace overnight so people can just download everything i took :P. no promises though :\

hmm, i'm pretty sure she was right in the front! on jonny's side of the stage? i'm not sure since i wasnt there, but when i found them all later they were in that area :D oh MAN, i just watched the first performance of IMP that i took, and the part where he brings the kid up onstage is just PERFECT. he's like "everyone, this is lucas. his brother broke his arm with a lacrosse stick. come meet our drummer will." HOW JEALOUS I WAS!! and its funny, because chris is supposed to be singing the last line of IMP, but he just looks down and says "what happened to your arm, man?" in this really concerned way. sooo cute. AHH i want everyone to see and hear my videos, because they're actually somewhat decent besides the shaking...:sad:

haha, those paps were JERKS! they just kept screaming and fighting amongst themselves...ridiculous. i loved chris's line about them, and i love how during some song (can't remember which), he stuck his tongue out at them for a SPLIT second, yet they still got it on film. loves it! :laugh4: anyone else's back/legs/knees/arms killing them? i feel like i've been beaten up, standing that long and tip-toeing to avoid my shortness :P

OH MY GODDDD, you got AMAZING photos!!! :stunned: if i'd just gotten there like 45 mins earlier...ah well. i have NOO right to complain whatsoever :P and i think that's my new favorite chris pic, that last one :laugh3: i have a full video of every song they did, but i dont think youtube is happening today. i'll try my hardest to make a compressed file and upload that, but it's going to be HUGE...the folder is over 1 GB on my hard drive! :D well, i guess THIRTEEN PERFORMANCES does that to you! i was STUNNED...i was thinking 5 songs max :P

slowly but surely, i'm getting mine up on facebook 5 at a time. they're not fabulous, my brother's were better because he's tall, but we'll get there :D. as for videos...i might compress THAT folder and sendspace the whole thing after i'm done with photos, and people can DL at their leisure. i'll try to youtube one to see how long it takes, but i just don't have the time to put ALL 13 up there today...i leave to go to a pearl jam concert in a few hours, and tomorrow i fly to london and amsterdam!

facebook won't FUCKING work for me for some reason, so i might compress the folder and put them ALL on imageshack. however, my brother's best ones are trickling in!!! AHHH i love this one. i posted a rambling start of me trying to explain my experience in the live section :D

oh. my. GODDDDDDD. :dead: i was slightly farther back than i would have liked, so i couldn't show my sign and occasionally just saw heads, but ohhhh maaannn, that was soo fabulous. besides the fact that they only played...6 different songs (but each at LEAST twice besides yellow and 42...they played clocks FOUR times :dance:) and that there was a lot of starting and stopping because it was live...it WAS a concert, and an incredibly intimate one at that for all of us up front! this is going to be fragmented and incoherent BTW, but here i try anyway... i got to the check in place at 6AM, which was fine, but i WISH i got there an hour earlier so i could have been RIGHT at the front. turns out all i had to do was beg a little and i got an extra VIP pass for my mom! so all three of us got good places, because there were probably 5000+ people there, 90% of which never got a glimpse of the boys :sad:. i was about 5 people back from the front of the VIP section, which is HELLA good, but being short it was a bit trying at times, and i couldnt show my sign because it was huge :P. either way, i got semi-decent photos, my brother got some absolutely KILLER photos for being where we were because he's tall, and my videos, while shaky, have their good moments and the sound quality is FABULOUS for a digital camera, so at the very least i got pretty decent audio of EVERY song they played...which is 13!!!!! :stunned: (ok, most of those are repeated songs, from warmup, prerecord, and live, but still...LOTS of stage time!) chris was hilarious, really really hyper and in a great mood. he talked to us a lot, and even dragged a little boy up on stage and let him meet the entire band becuase he had a broken arm! then someone threw a bra and panties on stage, and he was like "OOOOH, lost my bra there!" :laugh4:. all the funny bits like that will come back to me the more i think about it, but mostly he was just changing words to songs, forgetting words to songs, adding extra syllables to the lyrics, and making FABULOUS faces and dance moves. he stuck his tongue out at the paps, which i'm sure you've all seen by now, and did a lot of crazy-eyed :wideeyes: looks. ahh it was fabulous, and musically, i think they were at the top of their game so far besides the fact that chris mucked up the words quite often. other than that, his voice and the band were AMAZING. just amazing. i'll think up more later, but right now i really want to solve my photo crisis here. yall need to seeeeee!
