Speed of Sound by far. It's what made me get back into coldplay about a year ago now (not that I was ever out of them, but it reminded me how awesome they are!) I absolutely LOVE the simplicity of the lights, but how they made such a beautiul video with it anyway. My second favorite would be Fix You because once I heard the album, the images I had in my mind when I heard Fix You were almost EXACTLY the same as the beginning of the video (everyone seems to like the concert part better, but I think the beginning is the best part, how it completely captures the mood of the song...). My third fave is Talk...its not horrible or anything, but not great. A bit too...strange. But SOS is in my top 3 Coldplay vids, along with The Scientist and Shiver.:)

I would say studio, because that's how the songs are meant to be, pretty much. I listened to the live versions too much and got a bit tired of them anyway, but the live version of "fix you" is AMAZING (the one available on itunes), and in some ways better than the studio version. I LOVE the fireworks in the middle...they give me chills.

Does anybody understand the lyrics, though? :confused: I like to get other opinions on these things, because I suck at deciphering metaphors and the like. So if anyone has any ideas, post them!! :grin: Thanks!

oh no! I didn't realize it wasnt written by Coldplay!! That kinda upsets me actually because I love the song sooooooo incredibly much. I guess I'm dumb for not realizing they didn't write it, but still. :bigcry: I loooooove this song, though! I don't really get the lyrics, but that's ok. It's so amazingly deep and wonderful...I especially love it when all the other voices join in on the second verse...oh, I love it! :pleased:

i can hardly choose! I chose speed of sound, but both have BRILLIANT piano riffs, which totally make the songs. Clocks is more of a classic, I think, but Speed of Sound is a great sort of re-working of it.

I can't pick one favorite, but they are: Your Love Means Everything (Not really a B-side...) See You Soon (ditto...) Ladder To the Sun ("") I Ran Away The World Turned Upside Down Sleeping Sun Proof No More Keeping My Feet On The Ground yeah, that's sorta a lot...and 3 aren't really b-sides either!

Proof, definitely. It just has the better music, I think, and it seems like it could be put in a movie...ooh, I LOVE it. Gravity's good, but I wasn't terribly impressed. I'm actually kinda surprised so many people love it so much.

It makes me think of a farm for some reason, like a really little family farm. I LOVE this song too, I like it much better than "Gravity," which everyone seems to like so much, but I wasn't terribly impressed. I like it when they play around with new styles...and a strong guitar/piano riff always ties a song together the best.

Does anyone understand the lyrics to "See You Soon" or "Sleeping Sun"? "See You Soon" is one of my favorite Coldplay songs, and I love the lyrics, but I have no clue what they mean. Anyone want to help me out?
