  1. Yeah, well Ian is explained above...as is the ticket thing, but... I had nosebleed seats at a gig because that's all I could get thanks to LiveNation being a jerk that one time, but I knew R#42 went around upgrading people, so I knew what to look for...and then I saw them and I got way too scared to outright ask for tickets but I did anyway and they gave them to me :wacky:. It was my first time being front row and I basically collapsed into sobs when they said I could have the tickets :bigcry:.
  2. I remember Pete and Will saying something about the crane doing a sweeping shot to the boat over the river, presumably from set, so I guess it'll be obvious we're on a boat...I still think that sounds like a really random thing to just throw in, but I think it'll all make sense tomorrow .
  3. I just got hit by a particularly unbearable wave of excitement :bomb:. I think it's the new preview. Well, before Thursday, I wouldn't have been able to give my Coldplay Karma away for free . Before my luck exploded all on one day, I had never seen Coldplay in all my eight times without me almost not making it there for one reason or another due to timing or me risking very important things :dozey:.
  4. I don't think it's going to be as zoomed out as it is in the making of video...because honestly, that's really far . I kind of hope there's a pan :wacky: I'm actually more curious as to how they're going to fit in the boat footage with everything else. Is it going to be clear we're on a boat, or did they just need a big open space for the balloons to float upwards into? Because I feel like with everything they have going on on that little stage with the boys, to suddenly cut to a bunch of random people on a boat with balloons for our part would seem really out of place and random . I'm wondering what tricks they're going to use to make it make sense . Ugh, Coldplay does this to me at the worst times :bomb:. I have so much stuff I should be doing for uni...
  5. ^And the making of video just puts this cinematic sheen on the whole thing too...:wacky: I can't help but have my heart swell when I see the shot of the boat with the balloons flying away
  6. *deep breath* OK, if anyone's waiting for the video to hear any details about it, then don't click the spoiler. (I hope I'm not breaking the law...but the contract only pertained to the boat, oui? Any passer-by could see details of the shoot :uhoh:)
  7. The more I think about these song titles the more worried I become :uhoh:...I mean, like I say, I don't think bad song title = bad song, but at the same time, I really think these three that we know are cringe-worthy.
  8. I almost thanked her in person two years later this week for all that she did for us, but I didn't want to make it sound like I was trying to be all "LOOK AT ME, I'M ONE OF THE ONES THAT DID THAT PROJECT, REMEMBER ME?" so I didn't say anything :P.
  9. I remember I skipped class the day we knew the video would come out . That's a big deal for me to skip class: I seriously only do it for Coldplay-related things or emergencies. And I remember spending a lot of time waiting for various emails from Debs...oh, memories :wacky: Anyway, my point is that we started to plan this in October so we could have it done by Christmas, and in the end we had to extend it to January anyway for various reasons, so you can see how long it really does take.
  10. Goddamnit, guys, you're making me really want Jaffa Cakes :bigcry: But holy hell, that project...it was SO much fun, but it was like a full-time job (one that I actually enjoyed, though :P) Agree with Zoe as well :D
  11. So I've started to get messages in various places (i.e., not Coldplaying) from people I don't know saying that they recognized me in the video  :uhoh:. Should I be concerned? :P OK, well, it's like Tumblr and Twitter, where I have my actual face as my icon and have posted pictures of myself before, but this is getting toooooo weird for me :freak:. And I still don't believe any of it. If I'm in the actual video too and it's played on actual TV...well, I won't go there because I hope other people get their chances to be seen--I've used up all my Coldplay Karma for the next CENTURY this week, it's someone else's turn! And I've enlisted Sarah (SwallowedInSea) to help me make sure my head doesn't get too big, so don't worry about that, anyone :P
  12. I actually wondered this too...I think it's likely. Not for the website, necessarily, but maybe for us? I can't remember what Ian said, but I think he may have said something like Debs was going to email us pictures she took (like the group one etc), and I wonder if they would include video clips or something as well. Although that is a lot of effort, I feel like if they were going to video us that much, they're going to use it somewhere at some point...because they only used one 2-second clip of boat footage in that video, and it was of my fat face . However, most other times the camera was on and I noticed it, I waved like a complete idiot and danced around, so maybe it's best if that doesn't see the light of day...if the band saw it, Chris was DEFINITELY like "oh God, loo-girl..." :P I don't remember the discussion process exactly, but it wasn't very hard to figure out because we knew what to look for . Debs is like the Jane-of-all-trades for the band in a lot of respects and has been with them for years and years, and I basically have a girlcrush on her because I want to be her :P. Besides her working for Coldplay, though, that's the exact job I'm looking to have someday for some band, so I kind of get all ":cheesy:" when something to do with her comes around .
  13. I don't mean to sound like an elitist downer or anything, because I really like people thinking creatively and working together and all that for such kind and generous things :D. But...this is *kind of* how the Postcards project started with Lore...something for Christmas, if I remember correctly, and we started planning that in like October or something. I just think it's too late in the game. Yes, I don't deny they'd appreciate something small just as much as they'd appreciate something large, but it's not about the size or the thought or anything like that: it's about simply leaving enough time to DO it properly. And I'll tell you that the Postcards Project took a lot of time and effort and planning between me and Lore and lots of others--I spent more time on helping to put together that project than I did on my university work that semester :P. Because I wanted to, of course (I hate uni :P), but I'm just saying that it takes a lot of time and effort and this deadline is raaather close. I also think it's a very cute idea, but it's just...kind of been done (that's the elitist part :\). I'd love to participate in another project like Postcards because it was so much fun and so rewarding in tons of ways, but I think if we do something like that again, it should be a wholly unique idea...and maybe a bit farther down the line, because it becomes less special when we present them with stuff every year or so. It's less of a surprise, and that's a big part of the specialness, if you ask me. Sorry if that sounds mean or anything, I just think it needs more time and thought for it to come together in any sort of way :\.
  14. Debs is the Oracle . They've never come out and said it clearly, but it's true. EDIT: Oh, actually Chris said it on radio once and was like "oh, right, Debs." So I guess they kind of have :P.
  15. Third Elvis is Tim Crompton! :elvis: I love that Debs is also like "wow, I thought that was Guy" Aww, thank you! :wacky: :nice: I did think for a second if Chris saw the video before they posted it and was like "OMG, no, that's that girl that had to have a wee desperately :uhoh:". Honestly, I doubt they remember any but a select few of the fans they meet, even if one did make a scene at 3AM about toilets. Seriously, though, I've used up ALL my Coldplay Karma for the next like three years :P. And it's just this weird, funny thing in my mind now, completely unreal. I don't know if I'll ever believe it.
  16. The ad on this page is for £30 christmas lights with free shipping
  17. I'm having a hard time comprehending any of this. Like seriously. The whole thing is so ridiculous in my head that I'm almost forgetting this is Coldplay, my favorite thing ever. I'm beyond excited, but I just kind of laugh about it: "LOL, I was in a Coldplay video and sung on a track and met them and was in their 'making of' video." As excited and squee-ee as I am, I don't think anything's really hit me yet :bomb:. And with that I have to do some fricking work
  18. BROOKE, HOW DO YOU HAVE THAT MUCH RESTRAINT? :bomb: I guess I'm just one of those greedy fans that takes what I can get whenever it's available and eats up every leak etc., but dang...I can't imagine waiting!
  19. I thought about being detailed just for posterity, but even besides the whole contract thing...I don't really need to write down what things looked like etc because it's going to be IN the video :freak:. I still can't get that in my head.
