I'm not of mixed race, really, but I constantly get asked if I am. My mom's from Ukraine (her parents, anyway), and my dad's parents are from England, so I technically shouldn't have any striking or ethnic looking features. However, I've been told by countless people that I look half Asian, especially when I'm not wearing my glasses, and apparently the other half of me looks like there could be Middle Eastern or Indian blood somewhere involved, according to quite a few people. I don't necessarily agree with what people say for the most part, but I definitely look vaguely ethnic, since I have dark, crazy hair, slightly almond-shaped dark eyes, a round face and other features often associated with people of Asian descent. People always want to know where I'm from or if I was adopted, since the rest of my family has red hair (well, my brother's is darkening now) and looks pretty WASPy.

I forgot that he said he was dead at the beginning until the end the first time I saw it :lol:. I need to see that again, it was fabulous.

Wow, Nettie was still on here a bit when I joined, I believe, and even though I never really talked directly to her or anything, she always seemed like a passionate and determined person who knew her music and her way around a concert scene. I envied her ability to go to so many shows (and be so close!) and be as rabid a fan as she was without caring what anyone else said about it. This is very sad news, and I know she'll be remembered around here :sad:.

i looove backstage, candid videos like that :nice: however, has anyone noticed a small glitch with the site lately? for the past few weeks there hasn't been a scroll bar on the side of any of the posts (you know, the one with the hand-drawn arrows) and i can't see most of the posts! i have to use the mobile site :sad:

i love it, for the most part! i like them under long shirts/tunics too, but i haaaate when people just wear them as pants with nothing else covering their butts. most people don't have the type of figure for this to work, and even if they do, it's just too...show-offy or something.

^ugh, people at my school used to do that. maybe not FOUR, but two. three to be funny. to mock our collective preppiness, we actually used to have pop-your-collar-fridays.

i think some pants can work with dresses, but in my opinion, they usually work with shorter dresses, and only somewhat-skinny jeans. i think grey leggings would look great with that dress, if you feel like you need to wear something, but otherwise i say be brave and go without leg covering! :D

if the dress was shorter, i'd say go without the pants, but since it's a normal length dress, it should probably be worn without pants, if you ask me :wink:. what's the worry about dresses?

with the regular ones, in my experience, if you sleep with them in, your eyes will just feel reaaaaally dry and gross in the morning, and you may have a hard time getting them off. as long as you don't do it all the time, i don't think you can really hurt yourself too much. i take my contacts out the second i can because they bother me so much, so there's no risk of me ever falling asleep with them in! :P
