I'm glad I'm not a girl
That Axe advert reminds me of this other one commissioned by Rexona. They claimed that natural body odor is sooooo bad that women need to get rid of it by all means. They even supported their claim by drawing a pig on a woman's armpit. :wreck:

Culture
Do you guys know Hofstede? He's the researcher who developed cultural dimensions theory, which defines some of cultures' characteristics that are grouped into five dimensions (power distance, long-term orientation, uncertainty avoidance, individualism and masculinity). We've talked about this at university and compared the UK to Slovenia. I'm not that sure about the British culture but the statements for Slovenia were mostly correct. You can read more about this here and you can also look up your country's indexes and compare them to other countries'. I have some more material on this but I'd rather not share it publicly. ETA: Ooops, it looks like there are six dimensions now. We've only learnt about the first five.

The Blur Thread
A few songs had me on the verge of tears, ha. It really was a lovely set, even tough the crowd wasn't great. I didn't stay up long enough to watch the Roses but I've heard it wasn't very good. I hope next weekend's better for them.

No, Friday. I think they'll play next Friday, too, as the last band on the main stage. I wonder if they'll show just highlights like they did with the Stone Roses this morning. Caramel was fantastic and so was Sing and basically every other song. <3

Doctor Who ???......
Actually, I've only started seeing spoilers a few days ago, I hadn't seen anything like that a few weeks before and it's so annoying! I'll 'dislike' Doctor Who if it goes on like that. Yep, it bugs me quite a bit.

Doctor Who ???......
Argh I keep seeing spoilers on Facebook just because I 'ilked' Doctor Who on there. :bomb:

Sigur Rós
I loved all three/four new songs but I haven't listened to them enough to give a proper opinion. I think I like Kveikur best.

Doctor Who ???......
Look for The Who Shop and Forbidden Planet (London megastore) - it's near Tottenham Court Rd. There's plenty of those outside London, too.

Doctor Who ???......
1. Not really... I got a talking Dalek for Christmas a few years ago and I have two posters, along with a S4 specials DVD. 2. TARDIS, definitely! These two are awesome. I do wonder how many people get the reference in the first pic.

Atoms For Peace (Thom Yorke+Flea+others)
I thought RH and AFP were separate businesses. And I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade but I don't think they're going to record in September. It's when they're supposed to meet up to discuss a new album.

Idk, this is quite a big crowd if you ask me. And they did play Out of Time, yes. I'm sure they'll change the setlist for each gig, they'll get bored otherwise. Graham and Dave said it was one of their favourite concerts and that says something hehe. And the tour's only started for them and I hope they'll enjoy the rest of it, too.

The Blur Thread
There were rumours of an audio stream for tonight's show but I think those aren't true. I'm not familiar with other festivals so I don't know.

The Blur Thread
One day, actually, they're playing tomorrow, too. The tickets were gone in 5 minutes or so I've heard. Maybe they'll play some new songs in London? Who knows? They've been awfully quiet lately..

Atoms For Peace (Thom Yorke+Flea+others)
Nice! :charming: I don't get why London gigs are twice as expensive as Italian ones.
-
Radiohead
I think so. He recorded the backing tracks himself.

Well I got it on Thursday, too. I think my favourites so far are Before Your Very Eyes, Dropped, Stuck Together Pieces and Amok.
