I learnt by working out riffs/licks from tabs and by just playing simple melody's to the radio/tv etc and then adding solo techniques (hammer/pull/bend). After a while your fingers learn where to go.

sure, but the gems are drying up for him imo and i'm sure that narcs him, plus I would imagine he doesn't like the attention lavished on chris or the "alpha songwriter" status

why else would he voice his dislike, coldplay are ace, as a creator of excellent and sometimes similar music himself i'm sure he see's how good they are, and yeh, i reckon he's jealous of the ease with which chris writes such excellent material

so you want the chords not vocal melody? well if you mean from 3.30 to 3.44, the chords are D# Tears Stream G# Down your face D# When you lose something Bb You cannot replace So you could have a stave or something (the 5 music lines) in say the treble clef and then have the chords above. If you can't find what a stave with those chords looks like I could maybe draw it up
