I feel like apart of the family! :P Like others have said previously, when I started making "forum friends" I felt at home.

I've never heard of Black Friday. Thanksgiving isn't celebrated here so that would be why. However, my town is having a festival called 'Kanamaroo' that day so all the shops will be having sales anyway and they will be opened all night with parades and just fun stuff! Yippee!

In primary school there was an assembly every week where awards were handed out to whoever for say "being helpful to other students" and stuff like that. I suspected the teachers just went down the roll to select people though. My most prized award was when I got age champion at the athletics a few years back. All the girls in my age group were so up themselves which made the victory even sweeter, one even cried because she didn't win! I've received a few academic awards in high school too, which is nice. It's fun to win! :rolleyes:

Ugh, Germaine Greer is always making sexist remarks in her work yet nobody says anything about that. I can't stand that woman. There are men who are racist in all countries, not just Australia. It's just that we don't give a crap here. :) EDIT: Mark Latham will never have his way. He is a washed up nut case.

I loved lego except I didn't have many so I only played with them when I went to my cousins house, which wasn't that often unfortunately. If I had some now, I'd still play with them.

My family gets the local newspaper everyday and also The Age newspaper. When I have money I buy either Frankie, Oyster or Vogue magazines. I read my brothers Four Four Two magazine as well. :)

By the standards they have set with Parachutes and AROBTTH I do think X&Y is disappointing... and yes I have listened to it recently.

Over here school is compulsory to the age of 15. A lot of people drop out and do apprenticeships. Nothing wrong with that!

I'm like the opposite. All of my friends are compulsive huggers. It gets on my nerves. I don't let them hug me sometimes. :P For my birthday one of my friends gave me a teddy bear that said "hug me" on it because she has never had a hug from me. I dunno, I'm just a cold person I guess. :D

She wears damn pretty dresses! :surprised::wacko: And yeah, I don't mind her music to be honest. It's catchy.
