January 26th is Australia Day. It's not very formal, very laid back. Most people just fire up the barbecue and have a game of backyard cricket! There is an Australia Day Test Match in cricket which is also very popular to watch.

I noticed there is a rating button in every thread so I was just wondering if anyone actually rates threads and what do the ratings go to??? I have never rated a thread. Please rate this thread high. :happy:

I don't own a mac but I used them at this uni thing for a week and then when i had to go back to crummy ol' windows i found it quite difficult. Using a mac is like driving a really nice car.

I don't really have any hair stories. I always had long hair til I was 6 when I got it cut short and I've had it quite short/medium length ever since. I'm growing it long at the moment though, its about 8cm past my shoulders now. It has always been brown. It has gotten darker with age though so now it is less diarrhea colour and more poo colour. :)

Those are really sad stories, guys. :( I haven't had any friends who have died, fortunately. I really miss some friends who moved away to university. I haven't seen some of them since the last day of school and when I do we don't talk anymore. I hate it because we were so close just 1 year ago and then all of a sudden they're gone and have their own new lives with new friends. Ahh well... that's life.

That's funny. I know a lot of young people here in Australia who move over to England straight after they finish school. I think England is the most popular destination for young people here.

I get into shocking habits during the holidays like staying up past 3am every night and they usually continue when school begins too. On school days I try to go to bed before 12:30 but I usually don't fall asleep til at least 2am and then I have to get up at 7am in the morning, which sucks.

The Simpsons turned crap at season 9. Their greatest episodes were in seasons 2 & 3. Thank god they got their old writers in the for the movie. I'm seeing it tomorrow, yay!!!

I really didn't think Vino would do such a thing. He let his fans down big time. Damn, I'm really cut by this. I knew he would never win but I thought out of all the cyclists he had the most heart in it... guess not. :( The news of Rasmussen though isn't surprising at all. He would be an absolute freak to be going as well as he did without drugs. Still, I feel so cheated by Vinokourov... sounds stupid I know but my admiration for this guy was huge. Anyway, I wonder who'll be next... :worried: Cadel is still in it so GO CADEL!!!

A Rabobank spokesman confirmed on Wednesday night the Dane had 'broken team rules' - amid reports he was to be removed from the tour. Subsequently, the team have posted a statement on their own website explaining the circumstances which led to Rasmussen's sacking.
