^ I used to have that with some girls I used to be friends with. Sometimes it's just like your trapped because you feel like you can't be yourself around them, especially if they are more similar to each other. That's how it was for me anyway. Personally, I think it's important to have common interests because it makes the relationship stronger and have more substance. It just makes things easier and less strained. I have three people that I consider to be my best friends and one of them I just have this connection with - she lives in New Zealand and has done for more than two years now yet we still stay in contact and I think I'll always consider her one of my best friends, even though I haven't seen her in such a long time. Another is someone that I have been friends with for a few years now and we get along really well but sometimes I feel like different interests and opinions are an issue, although it can also just be that we're both stubborn and that I haven't really hung out with her lately, since we've both kinda got our own things going on, but hopefully that will change soon. The third one I get along with easier and even though we have some different interests they never become an issue. So I think that although common interests and hobbies can be important, at the end of the day personality is something that overrides it.

On Rove today (weekly chat show here) they had Tim Cahill and Archie Thompson from the Socceroos on the show. Rove asked if they had any preshow rituals and Archie said that before every game he has to listen to a "certain song ... 'Fix You' by Coldplay". Rove was like "Is there a special reason because it's not exactly a song that would pump you up" (I'm paraphrasing here) and Archie said that it's because his son was born to that song, so it's a special song for him. Pretty random Coldplay occurance. It was weird though because as soon as he said he had to listen to a certain song I was reminded of Justin Timberlake and 'Clocks' so as soon as Archie said 'Fix' I was like "Wow, he listens to Coldplay too!" and my sister was in the room at the time so I have proof :D

Oh, I've seen that before! It's really good from what I remember. American Dreamz 6/10 - not as good as I expected it would be. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire 8/10 - I like it but it can be kinda cheesy at times. Bend it Like Beckham 10/10 - I've watched this movie so many times and I still love it.

Just finished on Tuesday "The Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka. Strange story, but still a good one.

Went to kareoke with two of my friends last night (we had our own room, it wasn't a public room) and we put on The Scientist and then Speed of Sound later on. In The Scientist they had a different person singing and a different videoclip and some words weren't quite right. Then, in Speed of Sound there was just the words on the screen - no video or voice - but they stuffed up a few words as well. They had the lyrics as "And Earth's gone flying at the speed of sound to show you how it all began". I mean, really, Earth? All they had to do is go to the official site or to any fan site and they could have gotten the correct lyrics. Maybe I'm just a really picky/fussy fan, but that kinda annoyed me.

My younger bother's friend doesn't. He doesn't drink soft drinks. I drink Coke every now and then but not often. TNP has had creamed rice before.

I'm not sure where we are here, but I think we're still a bit away from the season final... We just had the episode where so I don't know where we are in the season.
