  1. i dont know... today i was at the shops and inside one store they were playing the hardest part and even though the shop smelt like fish and my friends and i didnt want anything i stayed in there to listen to it... as soon as it finished i was like "okay we can go now"
  2. when i first found out that one of my primary school friends likes Coldplay we had entire conversations about them on msn.... she came with me to the concert i went to.
  3. oh and also on Nova they replay bits of interviews but with different questions just for fun, and they do that with their Chris Martin interview as well... its like "Chris Martin of Coldplay, why were you late today?" "Well, we'd never heard of the place before" then there's something about sushi..
  4. Months ago now, when there was all that hype about the DaVinci Code movie, the radio station that i listen to, Nova 96.9, had a competition called The DaNova Code and they gave these clue things and you had to guess who it was they were talking about and one time it was Apple Martin! because it was so long ago i cant remember all the clues very well but this is what i remember: * Why gent cares for you ---> (why gent is an anagram for Gwyneth) * DOPY CALL ---> (anagram for Coldplay) * Some formula of Sir Isaac Newton's ---> (because an APPLE fell on his head) * "Let my people go" ---> (because Moses is her brother) there were probably more clues than that but thats all i remember... anyway, i thought it was cool when i heard the answer.
  5. im thinking of ordering the 2006 calendar like brazzo, even though its late... just because i want to have the pictures... but im planning on getting one of hte tops and hte 2007 calendar as well... today in my HSC general mathematics exam (the hsc is my final ever high school exams) i had to answer a question about washing detergent X and washing detergent Y (they were on a graph)... pretty cool plus yesterday i went to the servo w/ a friend and htey had cd's and i was just flicking through while i waited for my friend and i found about 5 copies of X&Y so i put them all at the front of one row so ppl would hav to see them...
  6. Today we (we being my mum, dad and i) were on the way back home from the hospital (my auntie had a baby) and i was listening to X&Y on my discman (i can't afford an iPod)... anyway, 'Fix You' was just nearing the end and we drove past this tree that had all these bunches of flowers surrounding it and tied to it, so im assuming that somebody died there and then just as we passed it, the song ended and it was that last line where chris sings "lights will guide you home and ignite your bones and i will try to fix you"... i just thought it was quite fitting for the situation..
  7. this is kinda weird but it popped into my head the other day... do u think the coldplay guys ever say something thats a lyric to their song and feel kinda strange about it, or even realise it? coz, for example, one time in an interview chris said something about having to go back to square one and i immediately thought of the song but i just thought "does the band ever think straight away of their songs like that?" oh, and at my friends 18th yesterday, her boyfriend was teasing me, once again, about coldplay and his friend was standing next to him and was like "dont tease coldplay, theyre alright. dont bag them out." etc... he just sorta said that they hav alright music and stuff. i was so happy! i was like "thanku!" but hten later that night my friends boyfriend (who, coincedentally, is named chris) informed me that he doesnt really dislike hte band as much as he makes out and that he thinks theyre ok and only teases me about them bcoz he knows i like htem. i was like "thats cool" coz i never really took offense from it.. theyre just not high on his list of 'my type of music'.. he like metal music more...
  8. Today when i was getting ready and i was brushing my hair i decided to turn the radio on and i caught the last minute or so of 'Yellow'. I was so happy! i havent heard yellow on the radio for aaages!
  9. You're right! they should hav a genre of their own!
  10. I'm working in a cafe for Work Placement for my Hospitality course at school and yesterday during my break i heard 'the hardest part' on the radio and seriously had to resist dancing, so i just settled with singing quietly... then today i was in the kitchen and i could just hear 'the hardest part' again! so i sang that to myself hoping that the other 3 ppl in the kitchen didnt look at me strangely, and hten later on 'fix you' came on... i was so overjoyed... how cool is that? the only bad thing is that wen im in the kitchen its really difficult to hear hte radio in the main area so i could only hear hte songs faintly.
  11. I love when song lines pop up places.
  12. i remembered the other one i got wrong! it was the question on which EP 'see you soon' was on.
  13. You had a Coldplay wallpaper? How cool would that have been!
  14. i don't think there would be enough time to say everything we would want to say... plus, as many have pointed out, it would be so hard to speak to them on account of nerves and awe... i think most of us would b speechless or would be blurting out small sentences or soemthing. P.S. anniep_93, where's the pic in ur siggy from? was that an actual advertisement?
  15. the ohter day i was really upset and crying and that and i put on the AROBTTH album and by the end of Politik i was feeling so much calmer and before the CD was halfway through i was just feeling back to normal... and i was listening to Clocks really closely...like to the instruments and Chris' voice and i just realised how simply perfect they are. i mean, i always knew, but htat moment just reafirmed it in my mind... it was amazing... they can just change ur emotions so easily... like, one of my friends works at GOLO and he gave me this unofficial dvd of coldplay and i was so overjoyed i was about ready to hug him! but i didnt...
  16. i got 80... i only got the release of yellow wrong and...i cant remember the second one i got wrong...
  17. Did anyone see his memorial today? It was so sad! Bindi was so brave... She's really strong... It was really sad, especially when they showed Terri sitting with the two kids... and they even left a seat next to Terri empty for Steve, and they just had his favourite hat sitting there. Apparently it was Terri's wish...
  18. I wish we had something like that on our radio stations... just this whole big thing with a member from Coldplay... Well today i did this test to help me get into uni and in my essay i purposefully wrote something like "we live in a generally beautiful world" in my conclusion. i couldnt resist throwing in a Coldplay reference.
  19. When I first heard of Steve Irwin's death, it was on a news update and i was just like "no way". So then I went on to a news channel and checked and I was just so shocked... it still hasn't sunk in properly. I honeslty cried on Monday because of his death... its terrible. I feel so horrible for Terri and the kids... Steve and Terri were so in love, and poor Bindi will be taking it hard. Little Bob is liekly to not have many, if any, actual memories of his father whihc is terrible... It's just so sad and shocking... Oh, and that Germaine Greer lady needs to dig a hole and stay in it. I can't believe all those negative things she said about Steve. Have a great time in Heaven, Steve!
  20. 1.36? Now THAT'S random!
  21. yeah they're pretty good like that... but im just feeling a bit upset atm coz of Steve Irwin... so sudden! hopefully coldplay can help me out of this sadness
  22. ^ thats so cool that they chose the scientist... i heard the hardest part on the radio yesterday twice...on the same station... pretty good.
  23. hyperactive comedians are funny... there's this british one thats like that but i dont know his name... maybe some Aussies will know coz he was on the great comedy debate recently about 'is winning everything?'... he was saying that it was.. i cant for the life of me remember his name but he was really hyperactive and funny...
  24. He is. i reckon he's one of hte best American comedians... i think that overall, the best Aussie comedian is Carl Barron. i saw him in his 'best bits of my two dvds' show and he's really funny.
  25. If i saw any of the guys I'd be totally speechless! i'd just be staring at them and maybe i'd finally be able to blurt out "Hi"... then i'd go on to say how brilliant they are and stuff... maybe i would ask for an autograph or picture if i didnt feel too embarrassed to do so?
