  1. lol, yeh, i get repeated jokes and comments about coldplay to me...but they're all pissy...im yet to hear a good payout or joke about Coldplay...
  2. if you read tabs, you can read a tab for a chord...for instance. e: 0 B: 0 G: 1 D: 2 A: 2 E: 0 hey presto!...E chord.

  8. Hey all, I've been playing Coldplay songs for over 7 years now, and Ive come to realise that a lot of their songs are in Eb. Now, I'm not sure that it means that the key is in Eb, but a lot of the songs (I think this is the right termanology) have Eb as their root note. Now, this doesn't mean that all their songs sound the same, definately not, but I just made this observation, and I was wondering whether anyone else has realised it. Some songs that I can name, off the top of my head... Talk Fix You Clocks Amsterdam (I think) White Shadows (maybe) The Hardest Part Twisted Logic How You See the World - not sure I could be wrong about a couple of those, so yeah, sorry if I am.
  9. Just tune your little E string down to Eb....so, if you were tuning the guitar...instead of getting it in tune with the 5th fret on the B string, just do the 4th fret... Then, what I do, is play this... E(Eb): 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 B: 4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4/11-11-11-11-4-4-4...etc. and then eventually: E(Eb): 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 B: 4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-3-3-3-3-3-3-3 Im pretty sure that is it. What I think they did in the studio's is played it in E, not Eb, but just turned the pitch or whatever down, when they were mixing it. Luckily, it is still easy to play live and all that, so yeh. I hope that helps.

  14. Heyl yeah!....you think that its highly unlikely with Coldplay to mosh....but you definately do.....we mosh more than any of those other heavy metal bands.... Some idiot tried to make fun of Coldplay infront of me....but failed miserably....he was like..."Pfft! Coldplay....more like...er....Hot...Stop!!!".....

  19. Well thats what I thought, I was like, yeah...Kiss Me, one hit wonder. But they also did a cover of the La's - There She Goes, which was really good. I then heard more of their stuff through a friend of mine, and some of the stuff is really good.

  21. The chords for the verse are (i think...): C#m G#m - A - G#m Then for the chorus its; E F# D A x3.....then the last part of the chorus, you just repeat " D A" twice.... not sure about the chords for the piano solo bit....if anyone else knows, please fill us in!!
  22. Hey there all, I was wondering whether anyone here knows how to play "I Ran Away" on guitar, the proper way? Also, if you do, do you also know the effects that are needed? I know the chords for the song, but I doubt that they're just playing straight chords in the song. Cheers.
