What's the rush for, exactly? We're 8 months away from the concert. Thts PLENTY of time for everyone to exchange their ideas, and the more ideas, the better. I'm sure there are plenty of people here who have yet to contribute their ideas, so we should wait a while to allow that to happen, I think

^I think we should avoid any reference to the colour of the t-shirts in the title, for now :P At least until we figure out exactly whats going to be happening with them. I havn't got any decent titles to suggest printing on the shirts myself yet, but keep brainstorming by all means!

a-chan (sorry, I don't know your name:embarassed:) I see where you're coming from with the symbolism of the colour yellow and everything, and its a cute idea. As for making it easier to find other coldplayers though, I was under the impression that we would all try to meet up in the same place, either before or after the concert, which is when we would all get to know each other :nice:. I think we were planning on doing the meeting up via texting, but obviously we have a long time to work out exactly how we're going to do that . And the sea of yellow is a nice idea, all I'm saying is even if we wanted to, I think it would be unlikely that we would all be huddled in one big group to achieve the desired effect. I know there are an amazing number of Coldplayers turning up to this concert (around 80 now I think ), but bare in mind that a considerable portion of people have booked seated tickets, and people who bought standing aren't all going to be able to arrive the night before, or at the same time. So unless we're able to skip the queue to be with other coldplayers (which *probably* isn't allowed :P) , I'm not sure there will be enough of us in one area among the HUGE sea of people to make an impact - I think most of us will be seperated during the gig . Remember, this place is going to be full to the brim, and this is Coldplay's largest venue to date. Having said all that, I'm probably being a bit pessimistic :P So I'm still not totally convinced, but if people really do want to go with this yellow thing, then I guess that can be one of the various 'official' coldplaying tees for Wembley  The problem is that we can only have so many of these t-shirt colours / designs produced, as each different tee costs money. For people not so hot on the yellow ones, we would need options for them too (i.e. the darker / white coldplaying shirts). But hey, this is still MONTHS away, so we have plenty of time to figure it out :D

Ok, concerning the yellow t-shirts / flag ideas. Here's the deal. Being the second brightest colour behind white, I understand why you might think that yellow would be a good choice for the colour of a t-shirt. The thing is, yellow is a COLOUR, and white is NOT. Having to design for a yellow t-shirt severely limits what can be done with the design that will eventually be printed on the shirt, because it is such an imposing colour. Unless we want a boring black and white design pasted on the front of it, I don't think its such a viable option. Now, if people really want to wear bright t-shirts to this thing, the next best thing is white. Sure, not as eye poppingly bright as that yellow, but with a white t-shirt, the absence of any one colour opens up a whole world of possibilities when it comes to the actual design that will dominate the front. Even saying this, I would probably say that a darker, or a more neutral colour like faded red, navy blue or black would be much more suited to accomodating a design. That way, we can can have bright designs on darker t-shirts that stand out and look awesome at the same time :D All I'm saying is, if you really want to get noticed by the band, you might as well turn up wearing one of those flourescent yellow jackets -- that will solve all your worries. For the rest of us, I think people will eventually appreciate how cool the t-shirts would look with less garish colours, and I think they can still look awesome without burning people's eyes out :P. And one more thing, about the flags - I think someone mentioned that bringing along big flags might block people's view of the stage, so maybe those smaller, hand held flags would be better to wave around at the concert so everyone gets a decent view :nice:

16-Dec-08 - London, O2 Arena - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
I hope getting out of the O2 isn't as much of a nightmare as people say it is, though I'm fine with queuing for a while to get a train... as long as I can get a train home, I'm all good. But if there's a chance that there won't be any trains running after a while, there might be a problem. I think I'll have to check out the train timetables to make sure I have a backup plan if something goes horribly wrong.

Haha, well I was thinking of being the one to design t-shirts for us coldplayers to wear to the concert (:D), so maybe once I have a theme / design down for the t-shirts, I could try and carry that over so it somehow works as a flag . I can't guaruntee anything right now, but I can give it a shot. I have no idea how one would go about printing the flag though, maybe there are some flag-printing companies out there that I'm unaware of that would do the job. Anyway its a bit early to promise anything, but I'm up for attempting to play the role of lead designer in this if need be :nice:

:O
*sigh* Anyway, I don't think I ever actually signed up there, but I did lurk for a good few months before migrating here. I did check back every now and again but it always seemed so dead. So the fact that its been shut down isn't really surprising, but I think as far as fansites go, Coldplaying is everything that one would want signing up, and more.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
I had yet another dream last night about seeing Coldplay live at Wembley (I'm not sure how much more of this I can take! :bigcry:), and it was the most vivid dream I've had in a while. Well, it started off as being in Wembley, then the venue shrunk... considerably. And ended up being no bigger then a school sports hall :inquisitive:. For some reason it started off really crappy because I realised I'd forgotten my camera, so I spent the first 5 or so minutes panicking and asking around to find out if I could borrow someone's. Anyway, after failing that, I sat back down and then chris came on and made some sort of opening speech. It was so cool because there can't have been more than 150 people in the theatre at that time and it felt really intimate. Throughout the dream and in between songs he kept stopping to talk and crack jokes, wayyy more often than he does in real life I think. But anyway about 4 songs in the whole thing started getting weird and they starting playing a 'new' song which basically sounded Coldplay's version of There There by radiohead. And it sounded AWESOME... but somehow, during the song, it turned into this massive faux-shoot-out between the audience and coldplay :P Much like what happens in this Spaced clip... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2tLKjeOstg&feature=related]YouTube - Spaced | Slow Motion Commotion | Channel 4[/ame] (Click on the link if it doesn't play in this post) It was crazy, but it was so awesome (of course, I was running around chasing after Chris most of the time trying to gun him down, but everytime he saw me somehow he would shoot me down before I had a chance ) And this was all happening inside the arena :inquisitive:. Anyway, one of the more epic dreams I've had in the past few months  I can't remember how it ended exactly but after the gun fight we all sort of went back to our seats and enjoyed the rest of the show. And OH YES! I've just remembered, when they were getting ready to play Viva La Vida they brought on this massive school orchestra complete with a conductor. When they started playing though, it sounded terribly out of tune, and chris said 'fuck it' and walked off the stage . several of the kids started crying and thats the last thing I remember. :P Sorry for the long post, but yeah, weirdest coldplay dream ever.

See what I mean about all the die hards out there not registering on this forum? *sigh* But yes, if I'm going to be this excited about the concert all next year, its going to be a bit of a problem. I had yet ANOTHER dream last night about seeing them in concert (it was the most vivid dream I've had in months), so its getting a bit crazy because that's the THIRD dream I've had in the past 2 weeks :dozey: God was it epic, though :P

Scones or Crumpets?
Hmmm... crumpets... :wacky: I'll try to come here more often, but I kind of miss how it was about 5 months ago... the golden age of this section, in my opinion. (and not only because of the Pringles thread, btw :P) And don't worry about the insanity... uni is getting under my skin too. Stupid documentary. One of us needs to make another awesome thread like that :wideeyed:

Scones or Crumpets?
Hey briggs, yeah its been a while  I mostly just lurk here these days, but I think i'm going to start posting more outside of multimedia and move back to the lounge, now that the dust seems to have settled. How have you been? Eaten any crumpets recently? :P

Scones or Crumpets?
:wideeyed: Crumpets all the way. That was sooo funny when everyone was crumpifying radiohead songs a few months ago :P

I'll definitely be bringing my camera along :D I think we should make an official Wembley 'Coldplaying Photo Album' thread when everyone uploads their photos! I think that would be pretty awesome myself
