This is no where near as neat and tidy as it was beforehand. And it's COMPLETELY out of date, apart from the first two sentences at the top. :sad:

But you merging them didn't make it any easier or clearer to read. Thats my point. At least, please find Chelsea's first post and put it back where it belongs? It's the least you can do, I think. And undoing this mess manually sounds like a bitch to me, so I know that's probably not going to happen. But the thread is now longer and more confusing than ever, and I just wish it was discussed beforehand so we could determine whether it actually needed to be merged. Which it didn't, frankly.

Why did you have to merge it with that other old thread though? I don't understand. Oh, and another thing. The rules and stuff in the first post now are ANCIENT. They're the ones from like, November... where did all the new ones go? The ones that Chelsea wrote?

Woah, hang on. What just happened? I came on here just now, checked the first post. And that nice and carefully organised post by Chelsea is gone. And now its looks messy. Any way of undoing that? or at least copying and pasting what was originally in the first post so that it looks proffesional again? And i've read the past few pages, and frankly i think the whole merging this was totally unnecessary. Whether or not people were being off topic, merging the threads just made things a whole bunch worse and more confusing than it ever was. Can someone tell me why we didn't make a JOINT DECISION on merging these threads? Seriously, this is such a shame. I know its tempting to use modding abilities just because you have them, but this was definitely the wrong move. It might be too much to ask, but i think the threads should be unmerged, for simplicity's sake. Dear me, though.

Oh I'm definitely a snow person. :D ^ I really want to take a walk around central london when its all snowy like that :nice:. Just because it really doesn't snow that often in the city at all, and I missed it this year. But for some reason I think it would be pretty epic.

I'm going tomorrow too :cheesy:! I have to say, I'm not sure quite what to expect, because this is my first keane gig and i've only seen a few live clips online. But I have a feeling this is going to rock :D And it will be nice to go to the concert without knowing the setlist before hand, unlike with Coldplay a couple of months ago. I quite like surprises :nice:

At least you guys have had 3 chances now to try to go see them. Not many other people outside the US can say that. But yes, I agree that there are plenty of months free, and I do think there still might be a chance for the other countries who have had nothing yet. Lets hope Monday will put a lot of people's worries to rest :wink:

It needed to be said i guess. It just gets on my nerves when people don't see how lucky they are, and then COMPLAIN about their situation. It's ungrateful, and just plain ignorant.

Erm no, thats not what they should say. But building it up as a "big" announcement when the majority of fans live OUTSIDE the US, thats what shouldn't have been done. Also - the band not playing in countries / places that havn't had a single tour date for over 2 years, while they go back to the US for the THIRD time in a year... how can this NOT be a disappointment for fans living elsewhere? I think people are perfectly entitled to be - at the very least - just a bit let down by the announcement, and i don't see how that could possibly be upsetting. And you say they've done countless things in the UK... and they havn't in the US? By the end of august this year, they would have played 51 shows in the US, excluding free shows. Compare that to 20 shows in the UK come September? And we had to wait 6 MONTHS after the album came out for the guys to tour here. I don't think there's much reason to envy us over here, and I also don't see how these "radio spots" and "little acoustic things" have any bearing in this case, since a bunch of dedicated fans on this site ALWAYS try to record and upload every single coldplay radio appearence so that everyone can listen, where ever it is broadcast, here or there. So fact that they LIVE here doesn't exactly make much difference at all in fact, at least not anymore. Trust me, we don't exactly get special treatment here. And this isn't really about the UK or europe anyway. Hell, us brits shouldn't even be complaining that much with the stadium shows coming up. Its about places like South America that havn't had a single tour date announced, when the band could have easily made time to tour there instead of the US in July and August. This is why there is so much disappointment, and why you should realise how fortunate you are to have them play so often in your country. If you're not satisfied, move here next time they decide to tour, so you can wait 6 months to see them. Or even better, go to South America and don't see them at all. :wink:

GUYS!! Chelsea just got a text from Coldplay.com, and its BIG NEWS. :dead: She can't get onto this forum for some reason (:sad:) but apparently, the text says that something BIG is going to be announced at 12 noon tomorrow UK time!! :dance: Oh i hope she can get on here soon! :bigcry:

Wow. That was absolutely amazing. :stunned: This is almost better than the original in some ways, and the attention to detail is just breathtaking. The guitars, the voices, the whole atmosphere is just perfect... even though you did the solo differently, i love how it sounds. Man I love this. Thank you for sharing, and I hope you have more stuff like this up your sleeve :D

I like pringles. :wacko: I hate brussel sprouts. And colliflour... UGH. I mean i'm not keen on vegetables anyway, but those two in particular i can't stand. And I quite like spicy food, but just not on pizza. I always pull off the green chillis if i'm sharing with someone. Oh man, now i really want a pizza. EDIT: I'm stupid. I have TWO pizzas in the fridge that I completely forgot about. :dozey:

^ I kinda like the sending of flowers the best, even though its unfortunately more difficult to send or whatever. But we could always just buy her a 'thank you' card, one of those smaller A3 sized ones, write a quick 3 lines saying a mutually-agreed-on message, and then just sign it 'all the members of coldplaying.com' or something similar. And these are like birthday and christmas cards, so they're pretty cheap. Other than that, i'm fresh out of ideas. If we knew what type of perfume she wears or whatever, we could buy something like that and wrap it up like a present and sent it with a little note, but we'd have to bombard her with questions through through the oracle thing in coldplay.com :P. I don't know, i'm kinda grasping at straws here. But I do agree on the fact that this whole thing is needlessly project-y. It was cool for the project itself, but i think we would be over indulging if we took this thank you thing to the same level. I also think that its kinda less about Debs than it really should be somehow, and the fact that this thing is being called something like 'postcards project part 2' kinda shows that we may be trying to organise this thank you with the wrong mindset. It just seems to me that people who missed being involved in organising the postcards project the first time around want to take this oppertunity to be involved in 'something big' which of course is fine, but I just don't think this thank you thing should be that next big project. Really, I don't think it should have any links to the original project apart from the fact that we're thanking her for allowing it to happen. And it's nice to know that we can organise something as big as the postcards project, and yet we're only a bunch of fans on a coldplay forum, but I just think we should save our talents for something that actually works as a project without being over the top. Sorry if I sound negative or harsh, and by all means we should continue to explore some ideas, but I think I should just be truthful about where I stand before anything is decided on. I still don't mind helping out of course, but I just think we just need to remind ourselves that this is a thank you, for one person (who we've already thanked a few times before). :wink:

I guess we'll end up having to call each other eventually anyway :lol: I'm just not to good at calling people :P. Hard to explain, but its way easier just talking to them face to face or even over msn... i think its the lack of visual cues in telephone conversation that makes it a bit wierd. No body language, and even on msn, you can use smilies as a substitute. Anyway, i'm just crazy :wacko:

Ok, can I just say, you're a genius? :lol: Seriously, that is completely awesome, crazily so.

This is a sad story, but its nothing new. This type of thing is happening all the time, and yet people seem so determined to put this guy down before he's even started. The fact that people are already pinning the blame on someone who has barely had 5 working days in office is ridiculous. Since when does it take a week to fix decades worth of mess left behind by other people? Everyone knows this sort of thing takes time to figure out, and it always has done. The thing is, people already know this, and when you don't even have any high expectations for his ability to turn things around, it just seems like bashing for the sake of bashing, which seems pointless to me. Not having an open mind about this sort of thing is what gets me... how can people make judgements this early on in his 4 year term? And this is only my opinion, I'm not trying to attack anyone or anything :wink: I'm just curious as to why people are so pessimistic about this guy.
