  1. Get On Your Boots is pretty good I guess, but I don't know, Violet Hill is just a lot more memorable. In nearly every way, in fact - the melody, the lyrics. But I do like the new single, its just not brilliant. Having said that, Violet Hill took me a few listens to really get into it. I do think U2 has a lot better songs on the album that we have yet to hear though, so I'm still not too worried about their new album being disappointing.
  2. Ahhh, that is seriously super cool! Really creative! :cheesy: I've been wanting to do something like this when i eventually get a somewhat permenant living quaters, for quite a long time... like, just go all wild and creative like that, and I really think it would be great for inspiration :nice: I have a couple of ideas, but one of them was having the lyric: "People moving all the time In a perfectly straight line" halfway up the wall, or around head height, and have this minimilistic stripe (not sure what colour, maybe light blue) running around all four walls, and then have like, abstract blurry shapes/ figures moving inside it, as it were. All the way around the room. sounds a little crazy, but for me i've always thought it would be something kinda cool if a ever set up a small recording studio thingy. Obviously i would keep all the crazy wall painting to one room, painting the whole house like that would just be insane :P I want the future to be now! :bigcry:
  3. Ahh yesss, a bigger sized version of the poster  And I love the explanation behind it, that really is awesome :D
  4. Keep it casual. Jeans and Shirt. All the way.
  5. Here's what mine looks like today :D
  6. This is really sad, especially because two of my best friends are two of the 27,000 who will be unemployed  And I've got so much of my art books from there over the years too, so I will miss it quite a bit.
  7. No idea, actually :stunned: They were pretty dark times. :P Oh, EDIT. You didn't by any chance pop open your first christmas crackers a few days ago by any chance? :wideeyed:
  8. YOU HAVE YOUR OWN THREAD?! :freak: :cheesy: And to think you've had one for a whole year too! Wow  TOTALLY missed it. So what's been happening at your end recently? I don't think we've talked since christmas eve! :stunned: :P
  9. :freak: That is AMAZING. It might be the best Coldplay parody I've ever seen. Will's face is PRICELESS. This is really the best thing ever, and so well made too. I love it! :D
  10. Swallowed and A Message are two of the better songs on X&Y for me :bigcry: :P And I guess The Hardest Part is one of the 'quite good' songs on that album, but I like the paino version that Chris performs live more I think :nice: I think if anything, the piano version of that song that would fit on Viva better than the X&Y version.
  11. Yeah, a "Live 2008" DVD would be awesome, with a tour diary of course :D That 2003 diary was basically the best thing ever, so even if all the DVD was was a new 2008 diary, I would by it without a second thought. I have to say though, it would be hard to beat the direction and the filming style of the 2003 concert - Mat Whitecross' editing is slightly too frantic for my taste. For one song its fine (Lost! video) but i'm not sure i could watch a whole DVD in that style. I'm rambling as usual :P
  12. Still procrastinating. Ahem. :dozey: *opens up notepad, twiddles thumbs*
  13. Hahaha, yes, this reminds me of a *certain* debate we had over strawberry swing a few months back... :P I would say it sounds like Chris saying something, no more than two syllables long, and definitly involving the sound "ah". Other than that, I can't really say.
  14. Hahahaha :laugh3: That is just brilliant :P
  15. 16. Who loved the noise game as much as I did? :D [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EIFlVbRpgQ]YouTube - "The Noise Game" - Coldplay[/ame] I like to think thats not me screaming halfway through there :uhoh: :P
  17. I took these pictures at the train station yesterday morning to take my mind of things, and because I had missed my train by 2 minutes and the platform was empty, I had time to goof around for a bit :P Here are the one's which turned out ok-ish. It was cold :nice:
  18. I'm really sorry for freaking everyone out . Just to say, I did pretty much go to A&E straight away, I didn't even get to read past the first comment before packing away my laptop to catch the train to my home town (but thanks for the advice and concern though :nice:). So I didn't waste any time, just so you know. Unfortunately, after several general tests and a quick Xray, they could find nothing suspicious at all. But the doctor I saw seemed to be the first that actually understood the symptoms i was describing. He's written a note detailing the problem so my GP can refer my to a respiratory specialist on monday, and I'm HOPING that within a few weeks they can start to see what the hell is wrong with me. Despite my visit to the hospital though, my breathing condition is still pretty much the same - no tingling or numbness or shaking since yesterday, but breathing is still an effort, and uncomfortable. I'll live, though, but I just hope the specialist(s) can get to the bottom of this. Well I don't really want to dwell on the subject seeing as my first post was probably more than enough to deal with, so thanks for your comforting words and for putting up with such a depressing post, and hopefully i won't feel compelled to make another thread like this out of desperation. - Semy
  19. This is probably going to look like me pulling a stunt, but I assure you it isn't. I simply don't know what else to do right now but write this down somewhere. To cut a long story short, I can't breathe properly, and its not the asthma (which I have, but this is something different). After last night, it feels like my lung capacity is down to 25%. Every time i take my focus off breathing my body wakes me up because its like im not getting enough oxygen or something. I've been up for at least 24 hours now, and now I'm shaking all over and my hands arms and practically my whole body is tingling. I'm having enough trouble hitting the keys to type this right now. And it feels like i'm only half there, everything is slightly hazy, and i feel exhausted. Basically, it feels like my body is falling apart. I'm leaving to catch a train back home from canterbury for the weekend in20 minuts for several reasons, but I also have a coldplay concert to go to on saturday and right now i feel like i simply am not in a fit state to go to it. I'm going to call up my GP later today even though last time 3 years ago I consulted him he was just putting it down to asthma (because this problem isn't really new, it just got 10x worse). So yeah, i dont have high hopes for him fixing this problem anytime soon. I just want to know why the hell this is happening to me and what the hell it is so at least i go go seek out some information on wiki or something so i can take it from there. But I just feel so helpless right now. I really can't type anymore, its taken long enough to type this out, but I probably won't be in a fit state to go back to using a computer anytime soon. I don't really expect any sympathy or advice, I wouldn't know what to say myself anyway. I wish that I can edit this thread in a few days and pretend this never happened. but I just had to write this down somewhere because quite frankly, I'm scared.
  20. Haha, thanks! I think I'll keep them and name them :P And I hope your hair is in better condition then mine  *points to that wavy bit sticking out to the left*. Its getting frustratingly difficult to tame it these days :dozey: Anyway I'm off to bed. see you! :nice:
