Something like what you have as your avatar picture would be cool as album art, I think. I've always been intrigued by the possibility of the band releasing an album with themselves on the cover, although I can't say I'd approve unless they do something fresh and exciting with it to give it a unique twist. But yes, something with a contemporary feel would be cool... but if this going to be a 'collective effort' interms of deciding on the tracklisting and such, then you have a lot of polls to set up I think :P On a related note, have you heard 'A Rush Of B-Sides To The Head' or 'Castles'? Two unofficial B-side albums that were released a few years ago via P2P websites and torrents and they both got pretty famous among fans. I was just wondering if you knew about those, because this has definitely been done before. Except! Neither of them included any B-sides from the X&Y or VLVOD era, so maybe there's some potential. EDIT: You probably meant just post your ideal B-side tracklisting and leave it at that. My bad :lol: I should probably try sleeping :P

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding, but is your main criticism the name of the song? I'm not sure I can tell. But either way, I can change the name if its really that bad :P And that talk of raindrops hanging in mid-air... that made me lol. Thanks for the feedback though! I think I agree that the shortness of the song works in it's favour.

Hey guys! Can I get some feedback for a new song by any chance? It's going to be an interlude type track on an upcoming EP. Its a short piano-based instrumental called 'Rain'. It's only just over 2 minutes at the moment, and I'm still debating whether or not to add anything to it. This is actually the quickest I've written, recorded, mixed and mastered a song, all done in about 2 days (constantly working on it during those days, however). It's a simple sounding song as I'm not a very elaborate player at all, but I think the crescendo helps to liven things up a bit. Apologies for continually hijacking this thread and actually this section of the forum - I really think we should have a seperate section for bands / artists to post their creations now that the "post your own music" threads don't really make an appearence anymore. Yikes, well the way I edit thinks is basically by trying about 10 different things and then choosing one or more of those methods that sem to work best and apply them. So it's not always as simple as working out what tool to use, at least for me, it all about experimenting with stuff until it sounds right. So yeah, I mean unless you're interesting getting into the whole practice of sound editing, it's probably not going to be worth buying / downloading the program just for that one job. So just give me some time and I'll attempt it! BUT, in case you're curious, I use Adobe Audition 3.0, which I personally love because it's so powerful and yet relatively easy to use :smiley:

Oh man, I think I've spent too much recently as well :uhoh:. I had to restrain from buying more Muse tickets for their huge shows later this year :wreck:. Who are you seeing it 2 weeks then? Yeah, I thought it was great overall! I thought all the transformation scenes were done really well, actually. And by the end, do you mean... the very last shot? Either way I think it's kind of begging for a sequel to be made, though I'd be quite happy if they left it at that. I'd give 8.5/10

Good to hear! :D Well I've got a lot of half recorded stuff on my computer, but I'm recording a 4 song EP for my university project, of which one song is very nearly finished. The others, I'm still recording - but hopefully it will all be done by the end of April.
