Haha, see what I mean about me not being awake that day? :dozey: But that's definitely a relief.

19-Sep-2009: Wembley Stadium, London - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos
I think as long as there is a fairly sizable amount of people wearing yellow near the front of the queue, there won't be too much of a problem getting any stray coldplayers to join them - from the point of view of everyone else lining up, seeing the odd yellow person pushing through the crowd towards a whole bunch of yellow people near the front would be indicative that we probably belong to some kind of fan club which allows us to be at the front, and that the yellow person pushing through probably arrived with the rest of us and merely had to go get food or something. As someone said, they won't be able to tell us apart :P. Just as long as enough of us get there early and form a fairly big group, hopefully no one will notice that group getting bigger over time. Plus to any of the guys planning to leave the queue for the toilet or whatever, I only saw a ladies one, which is fairly close to the food stall, btw. So I'm assuming if there is a men's somewhere, its going to be on the opposite side of the stadium. Its probably there somewhere, but just a heads up. EDIT: I was just wondering, has anyone got their tickets delivered to them yet? I'm not too worried yet but for such a huge show I think they are leaving it a bit late to send them out.

Noel Gallagher quits Oasis
Wow, well I'm only a casual fan, but this is pretty shocking :stunned: I guess their best days were behind them though, so its not all bad i guess.

Rate the latest movie you've seen
Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince - 7.5/10 District 9 - 9/10 (OMG! Everyone must go and see this, seriously. It's the best sci-fi film I've seen in years, might even surpass Sunshine in my mind.)

*Humungous bump* Ok i've started working on another one of these caricatures, so stay posted! It probably won't be as good as the one I posted last year, I havn't done something like this in a good while. Hint: It won't be just Chris this time :P

Julian Casablancas Preps Solo Album Phrazes for the Young
I'm actually really excited after seeing the trailer. But I agree, the sooner a new Strokes album comes out, the better :P Edit: Man I really love the music being played from 1:01 onwards - so lush. I think the new sound is great.

The Temper Trap Thread
I think the World Of Music section is officially my favourite place to come and discover new bands. I listened to their album this morning and alot of it sounds really good. Their sound is like, a mixture of everything I love :D Though, I really love the single version of Science Of Fear, but I can't seem to find a high quality version of it, which is a shame. The last part of the song is a lot better than on the album, in my opinion. But I'm really loving a lot of their other tracks as well - Lost Love, Rest, and Sweet Disposition - though I think the album in it's entirety is lacking a little punch to make it really stand out for me. But I will definitely be following this band from now on, they sound very promising :wideeyed:. They almost seem like a perfect meld of Coldplay, Kings Of Leon and U2 when they get it right. I can even hear a bit of Phoenix influence on Down River.

ok, I'm nearly through my second listen, and I think the whole thing just clicked. I'm liking it a lot more this time around, now i know what to expect.
-
Mew
^ Yeah, I guess I just need to give it more time to sink in. And I think its one of those albums where I'll find that I need to be in the right mood to listen to it. Anyway, I'm finding it hard to muster words about it so far :P. There's no doubt there's some awesome stuff on here, though.

I'm on the second to last track, and it hard to say what I think of it just yet - I love the 2 tracks we heard previously, and I really like Beach and Hawaii so far. All the other tracks, it's weird... they sound good, interesting arrangements and production, but there's something almost 'muddled' about them. This is definitely more arty than both their previous albums. So yeah, I think i'll have to give it a few more listens before I can say for sure what I think, but it's certainly a very interesting listen, and a definite change of direction for them. Edit: Wow though, really liking "Reprise". Nice dreamy way to finish off the album :nice:

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Haha, ok, I found a much clearer translation of the review :P _______________ 01. « Uprising » 5 :02 Matt bellamy's voice is deeper than usual. In terms of lyrics, its the usual Muse: conspiracies, apocalypse, he announces a gathering, speaks of victory and that "they will not control us." The sound, still very dense and heavy is accompanied by passages of synths. The overall structure is rather straightforward. 02. « Resistance » 5 :46 Opening in Piano, cavalcade of drums. You could swear that Freddi Mercury participated in the chorus. 03. « Undisclosed Desires » 3 :56 A sound very reminiscent of Depeche Mode hovers over this piece without guitars but with vocoder laced vocals. 04. « United States Of Eurasia » (+ Collateral Damage) 5 :47 Bohemian Rapsody (Queen) + Lawrence of Arabie (la score of Maurice Jarre)+ Chopin = A long cinémato-classic-rock trip. Matt Bellamyhas returned to his falsetto. The song ends on a sound of a plane taking off (Space ship? Missile taking off?). 05. « Guiding Light » 4 :13 Return of the guitar solo. One of the defining features of the pompous style of Muse. 06. « Unnatural Selection » Opens with Church Organs before the arrival of the drums and the powerful guitars. An epic and lyrical song. 07. « MK Ultra » Lots of electronics and bodybuilder like riffs (meaning very very powerful?). 08. « I Belong To You » (+ Mon Coeur S'ouvre A Ta Voix) A title borrowed from the opera Samson and Dalila. A surprising delayed rythm. Clarinet arrives at the end of the song. Matt sings a few verses in French...very hard to understand. 09. « Exogenesis : Symphony Part I » (Overture) 10. « Exogenesis : Symphony Part II » (Cross Pollination) 11. « Exogenesis : Symphony Part III » (Redemption) Matts voice is very reminiscent of Thom Yorke here. This symphony would almost pass for the guilty pleasure of a star with a passion for the romantic composers such as Chopin and Liszt... _______________ :wideeyed: Sounds pretty great, I think! (though "I Belong To You" sounds a bit... silly :P)

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
A new track-by-track review that recently appeared on Muselive.com (not known whether it's actually legit yet, and it has been translated from French, hence the weird grammar): Not sure what to think so far, but at least it's something :P

RIP Jennifer/Nettie
I've just read through the thread and it's really sad . I think she was still posting here when I first joined, and even though I didn't know her personally, it's terrible to hear that such a dedicated fan is not with us anymore. This is really tragic news, she seemed like a really great and exciting person from all the pics posted in here. RIP.

Need Help Identifying a Song
Interesting, it does sound like it could be Coldplay, I can hear some piano and acoustic guitar in the mix. But since they're trying all sorts of musical styles these days, it's hard to tell if it's really them without the presence of Chris' voice, or some 'ooohs' and 'aahh's. But it's weird, listening to it again, it really reminds me of something. Hmm.

next album you plan on buying
This and this :wideeyed::P And hopefully Thirteen Senses' new album, if it's good.

COLDPLAYING WEMBLEY T-SHIRTS! ... BUTTERFLY DESIGN (SEMY) BACK ON SALE!
Ok, so the shop is up and running again with the new designs (), but I've been having a problem and I was wondering if any one else from the UK is experiencing this. Basically, when you get to the Billing information page, it doesn't allow me to enter the full 18 digit card number, it goes up to 16 and you can't type in anymore digits. I've never had this problem before, so I might be missing something, but I was wondering if anyone else from the UK was getting this. EDIT: Ah, just figured out what's going on - cafepress don't accept my SOLO/MAESTRO card. Figures. I guess I'm going to have to find another way to order, which might involve using another site. But anyway. I just hope no one else runs into this problem :\
