  1. Now how do I fix that once I've put it here?? Let's see what edit functions exist...
  2. And you can if you act now! Just send in 50 box tops, and we'll offer you the magic sleep cube, complete with the celestial star map.. Actually, the secret technique I learned at the uni was to imagine when I laid down how I wished I could sleep a few more hours in the morning, and presto, I fell fast asleep, imagining it was morning, and I wished I could have some more time for ZZZ's! (the oldest Jedi mind trick in the book).
  3.:PNah, this belongs in a thread of it's own - partly because the Moody Blues is a religion as well as a group; partly because they have indirectly influenced Coldplay. Hey, if "The Beatles" can have a thread, then so can "The Moody Blues"!;)
  4. The fabric is woven, and all are in the mesh - some form patches, some woven in completely; still others form islands, with only a few threads to connect; but the fabric is complete, the unit is a whole. None who think cannot effect the waft and weave in the fabric of time and space..
  5. This group deserves a thread of their own!:sunny::guitarist::cool: Rare Moody Blues - [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OlEkOjmUXE&feature=channel_page]YouTube - Moody Blues - gypsy (1970)[/ame] Better quality:The Moody Blues – Gypsy (Of a Strange and Distant Time) – Listen free and discover music at Last.fm
  6. I am on God's time, so I'm not really sure - I just sleep when it's late, and wake up when the birds sing. The experts say we need a good 8.5 to 9 hours of sleep a day, and it's worth it - because then we're more awake and energetic in the day, and we live longer too.;)
  7. The way to approach any outbreak is through prevention more than cure, and if I'm permitted to do so, I wish to expound on the topic. First, transmission is through contact, so wash hands a lot, especially if you're in public places with a lot of door handles to pull open. Second, stay strong! Get plenty of rest, eat healthy meals, exercise, and reduce stress whenever possible. Third, keep the humidity levels moderate. Virus particles break down faster in humid air. Fourth, get enough vitamin C each day to stay healthy, and stay emotionally balanced if possible - stress reduces the immune system's ability to fight off infections. Fifth, relax! Worrying about it causes stress and reduces our immune systems' fighting ability - so chill out, sit back, and hide somewhere safe in a bunker until the bug wipes out half the human population.:laugh3: But remember: as unfortunate as it is, occasionally getting exposed to viruses (and hopefully just having an immune response) is the way our immune system "learns" to deal with viruses. So, stay healthy, and if you do catch it, then you won't be wiped out by the bug. Also, I read somewhere that copper (and for that matter silver) is anti-bacterial / anti-viral, so plating your door knobs, or replacing them with copper ones might be a good idea, especially if you're in charge of a public space. Plating kits are available from scientific / hobby places, so this option sounds like good preventative medicine.
  8. :sunny:Greetings!!!:sunny:
  9. Upon turning 18, just enjoy some home-made wine, and buy some fair-trade chocolate for a treat!:sunny::escaping:
  10. Welcome newcomer from Cork County, Ireland! What's new in the Irish stew?:P
  11. :laugh3:That is so Cool:cool:!!!! I've seen the inside of their home on TV - PBS's Travels with Rick Steves - what was the museum like, and what did you find most fascinating about the exhibits??
  12. :laugh3: You are so right! and late enough here, too - I best be hitting the hay. Nite!
  13. And where is the mystical, magical Lore (since we're wandering about in her thread!:P)..?

    Welcome!
  15. Since Coldplay are into sustainable forests, fair trade, and other progressive values-oriented things, I though it would be neat to have a thread to discuss eco, human, & earth-friendly business ideas.. >>I was thinking about a problem: what to do with all the old porcelain things (old lamps, sinks, toilets, tanks, broken objects, etc..)? And then I remember walking a beach near here, seeing all the rounded, smoothed "pebbles" made by the wave action on old glass bottles. So, I began to wonder, if breaking up old porcelain objects, and tumbling them would be worth the while.. the resulting 'stones' could be used in place of washed gravel in landscaping projects, and these intert porcelain pebbles would probably be quite attractive.. What sayest thou? >> Lots of plastics are still being tossed - everywhere. Would be nice if only biodegradable types were used, but in the present, I had another idea - fuse the odd types into garden statues and such, where brittleness isn't such a big issue.. Sound viable?
  16. Maybe I should go take a look at it... sounds interesting to say the least.
  17. I was thinking something.. what was it? Oh, :idea2:! Yes! To love the essence of life and of humanity and of learning, unencumbered by all the junk of put-ons, flashy clothes, ostentatious displays of wealth.. we got to get ourselves back to the garden...:flutterby::hippy::sunny::flutterby::daisy:
  18. Layered meanings & multiple metaphors on many levels.. but to give away the meanings would take away the mystery, and that would diminish their value to the listener; the seeking holds greater meaning on an emotional and intellectual level than the knowing.
  19. Subliminal isn't really all that effective - it's just funny to discover!:laugh3:
  20. Or maybe that's what he does to relieve the tension? I think perhaps, but other artists do the same thing, so maybe it's just a matter of adjusting.. If you want quality performances, sometimes it's better to start over, etc.
  21. Lore, where art thou?:)
  22. one giant leap for frog, one small step for amphibians! And it's good to be King, at least for a while.. it's good to have a Queen, and party along.....
  23. supercalafragalisticexpialadocious
  24. Is Chris rated in Horsepower or Kilowatts?:P (or maybe Kilojoules?)
  25. :stunned:I'm not sure where I am, but I knew where I was a minute ago!:laugh3:
