  1. well, um, yea.. cats at night, sneaking around, one can't be too careful... window shades, definitely.
  2. Models. They're beautiful but mischievious. Please, no more questions.:laugh3:
  3. Sorry, just trying to lighten up the mood a bit. I've been stalked before as well, it's really unfair, makes one feel a bit paranoid for sure, and I don't have any easy answers. Best to keep turning her away and making sure she knows it, else she will be ever-more persistent. Yea, it's hard too knowing what modern technology offers, there are definitely problems with hidden cameras and listening devices. Give the house a thorough cleaning / "debugging" if possible. <edit> : You could always grab a can of spray paint, and change the mace can's colors to say a pleasing dark green, or dark grey?
  4. > Herding cats, is that actually possible?:laugh3: Takes a special talent to do that. > Press releases - is that when the press is done stamping the parts out? She better do a good job, don't let her make too many wrinkled fenders! :P
  5. I'm thinking I haven't a clue what Tracie is thinking!:laugh3: I was thinking... I could make a pizza! :idea2::escaping3: The basics - crusty bread, tomato paste, onions, garlic, olive oil, Celtic sea salt, cheese, spinach, seasonings... mmm!!!
  6. Use reverse psychology. Dress up as a carrot, and ask her if she wants to nibble on you!:laugh3:
  7. Happy Birthday Anna !!!!!!!!!!! :flutterby::sunny::flutterby: +++++
  8. Welcome PJ! Great taste in music, and keep innovating, that's the ticket! ;)
  9. Um... well, just be careful! Probably the best thing would be for her to find someone else, maybe you could locate a suitable date for her? Plus, I would recommend window coverings, which might thwart any temptations to stalk you further. Go underground if possible, build a safe room in the house, with escape passages, just in-case. :laugh3:
  10. You know I was thinking something, I know I was! Nevah mind, wasn't all that big a deal anyhow.
  11. :laugh3: But back to the subject matter.. One option is to do a reverse digital analysis of the sound it makes; record it, digitize it, and then use a computer program to match it to a known tune. Or just place a musical babel fish in your ear to see what is the best match audibly for the tune it's playing. And as a last option, if it's getting very annoying, you could put the thing in a microwave oven and 'cook' it for just a short while.. :laugh3: After which, it will either be very warm, or unable to play the tune, or both!:P On second though, nix the last option - it's hard to put the smoke back into electronic components once it leaks out.;)
  12. Generally there's a short recess after Calculus, then it's back to geometry, where it all started. You will be studying the fjords of Norway, and how they were expertly carved using light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation and fractal geometric design patterns strait from old-school drawing boards in Zurich.
  13. MMIX stands for Mature Mix. or maybe Meow Mix? :P how about Mobile Missile #9? :inquisitive: Or maybe, just maybe, it stands for a certain type of computer architecture, a 64-bit RISC computer. ..I'm having flashbacks about computer programming, time to escape! :escaping2:
  14. Welcome Souriyo:sunny: > Keep the beat alive and growing, piano is a supreme instrument to play! Guitars sound beautiful in their own right as well, but the piano is the modern autoharp, an instrument created for the Gods. ;) A good thing in music is diversity, for in that diversity new flowers of creativity and inspiration can bloom. Keep innovating and playing, you'll discover that having unique talents will set you apart from the rest. Tastes change, so when you're producing great music, by then Indians may want for something 'new'!
  15. High efficiency was the aim in 1893, when the first U.S. production automobile was designed by the Duryea Brothers in Springfield, Mass. The Project Gutenberg eBook of The 1893 Duryea Automobile In the Museum of History and Technology, by Don H. Berkebile. Incorporating an engine based on the Atkinson cycle was their first wish, but with an untested design in their first engine, in order to meet their production goals and get their car company off the ground, they had to settle on adapting the engine design of Maybach and Benz's, which had all the reliability problems solved. Still, in that first attempt at a production automobile in America, there was the spark of innovation at work, trying to improve upon the efficiency and power density of the automobile engine, and today we have come full circle; many makes utilize a virtual Atkinson cycle to improve efficiency, and there is the real possibility that this once-innovative design, the product of the mind of British engineer Atkinson, will become a real contender not just in the virtual sense, but perhaps in the real sense as well. Four leaf clovers get overlooked in this world, so don't be afraid to look in the past for answers about the future. ;)
  16. Congratulations Space Cadet! :) Wait, where is she? "Just sit back, have a cup of tea, and wait for this all to blow over."?
  17. That would be naughty! It's supposed to be kept under wraps! :P
  18. I live in a museum!:laugh3: Have you ever been to heaven?
  19. FRANCE, where the gooood cheese is chevre' :)

Two wanderers in the 1800's who started a printing business in Chicago, specializing first in railroad tickets, then railroad maps - their wax plates made it possible to print tiny lines and symbols, and make rapid changes to the maps, as the railroads quickly expanded across the country - hence their early success in "road" maps of the time, well before their famous Road Atlas of the automobile era came about. 22. That was cruel and unusual! :laugh3:
  23. >> Winter cold tends to do that, but you'll get some of that back in the summer! And 55 is still excellent mpg!! :) I think the real answer is in the engineering department and implementing what already exists in prototypes is a matter of the markets - we each do our part, but the larger lever at the top is what needs to be pulled; better governance makes all the difference in that regard.
  24. advice and tire inflation > hm, sounds logical, the mpg for the civic sedan is on the order of 47 mpg Imperial / 39 mpg U.S. on the highway, which is pretty good! I'm still confused though as to why it's taken so long to get the MPG ratings up - definitely foot dragging by the automotive industry. I would imagine that if you did buy a Honda hybrid, given the company's reputation for reliability and durability, it would be a good choice too, and the mpg jumps to 53 UK / 44 U.S both city and highway driving. I wonder why they don't use more capacitors in the hybrids, since there's less loss and less cycling issues, faster response time, and great longevity? Perhaps it's just one more component, which adds a little more complexity, and a little more cost.. Better yet, why not try out the new Honda Electric Fuel Cell Car?! Runs on a combination of Lithium Ion batteries and Hydrogen visa vi a hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell, making this car incredibly advanced for a production model! Rudy loves snow and cold, that's his first love! :laugh3: Too many years in sweltering heat, it must drive a Rudy to extremes.. I'm sure most everyone in Europe wished they were in sunny hot Malaysia right about now!:sunny:
