Favourite song of the day?
The Running Engine A Friday Party Song: (Variety Tonight - REO Speedwagon):) The beginning is simply captivating - like a classical music concert hall tune-up, and then a twist! The rock engine kicks on..

Coldplay's obsession with the number 42
The atomic number of Molybdenum - who would have ever though it! Hmm! Funny, I've got a piece of Molybdenite over on the shelf... from an old mine near here. Odd coincidences! 42 - it has a nice ring to it, and looks easily divisible..

Sand dollar In life, we are alive in death, we are no more but life is a wheel, and we are the spokes ever turning, supporting, and moving to the next.. and when life leaves our shells upon the shore like a sand dollar, that was once and now no more... yet spring's eternal returns to life brings new offspring to the earth and puts new dollars in each star the arms the spokes, and center hub spins as life's a wheel in the winds...

What odd weather
And here I thought England had not quite the same spring cold snaps like we see here! I'm just glad I don't live in Duluth - blizzard conditions all night tonight, and howlin' wind! Brrr....

5 thoughts on your mind right now!
It's too hot here?:laugh3: Well, that's a problem! Here, it's windy and snow is falling - looks like a big storm tonight.. OOOO, that bread smells GOOD! I'll have it @ 10. Or sooner! 3. I live on a Peter Tumbledown farm... 4. We could stop mining for a week - so much old farm machinery to recycle.. 5. Norwegian wood, isn't it good..

Smell
Are you scent-less? I cannot imagine that!! Focus the senses, and you will smell something - our noses are more sensitive than some of the best lab equipment so far devised to detect smells..:smug:

But like anything, each culture influences a given religion to put a unique regional influence on it. For instance, isn't it true that those who worship Islam in Egypt blend a certain influence of older traditions with Islam, as Christians in Ireland do in a similar fashion having the Celtic traditions in their culture? The roots run deep.

Mobile phones 'more dangerous than smoking'
Risks.. I think the biggest concern ought to be Driving while using a cell phone:thinking:. =That causes more head and brain injuries than I can imagine any cancer risk would amount to, though both are important to consider.. I'll bet I saw at least 4 drivers on their phones, and it's not a good scene, especially with deer moving about, traffic at intersections, etc. Still, one has to wonder why they (the manufacturers) couldn't attenuate the phone signal when it's being used in a home or in a parked vehicle - by adding a booster system in the vehicle/home/office, keeping the powerful broadcaster away from the user's head..(?) Well, maybe now they will! Hmm.. I know of someone who's recently had surgery to remove a very small tumor in her brain.. Not something you want to see anyone go through, that's for sure! And she does not smoke, come to think of it.. It's something else when it hits close to home.

What odd weather
whether we will weather the weather! Make that a double!;) I awoke this morning to the sound of tree limbs crashing to the ground under the weight of heavy, wet snow!:dozey: What a mess! The driveway is mud, ruts, snow, and huge branches..

Death And All His Friends...
Tracie, my heart goes out to you. It took me a long, long, long time to get used to my dad's passing on; it's always good to have the memories to hold, but pretty hard at first. Music does make a difference - that's a very profound thought.. For some reason, I began to recall the song by the Beatles "Yesterday" when you mentioned it.. Eugene, I'm sure, is glad to have you're company right now - and it's hard to adjust to living in an empty house, with all the reminders when a parent passes on.. Best to keep busy for sanity's sake - that's about all I could do to cope with the loss at the time; and to spend time with friends and family - social connections really help a lot. Hang in there Tracie!;) With All Sincerity, -Chuck.

Poets
Poetry: Keep the Road Real. To keep the roads winding is to keep the road close.. to keep the wild rose in proportion to the width, and slow the traveller For there is no destination if there is no destination And since this is the end of the road, it is the headwaters of the stream Headwaters start at the mountain, and are narrow and rocky, closely cropped With Flowers all aglow along each bank; the storehouse of real wealth. You are here. You have arrived. Stop and smell those roses. True wealth really is green, and needs to be seen.

What are you thinking right now?
^^And I have no clue how, or to whom these thoughts are directed!:laugh3: Thought of the instant: If metals were priced according to their externalities, I'll bet almost all of it would be recycled..
