USA Presidential Election 2008 [Daily News]
Once again - the future of the world rests to some extent on our goofy ways of electioneering - is it this goofy elsewhere in the world, when campaigns are being run?? Do candidates accuse one-another of plagiarizing quotes, or resorting to repeating someone's middle name, if it's the same as a deposed dictators? Sheesh, what ever happened to debates about issues, substance, and what each candidate has to offer for solutions?

The Last Coldplay Song You Heard on the Radio
Speed of Sound, eh? Glad you get them there! They had better have something good on that new album - the radio stations here - I have not hear a peep of Coldplay's stuff for quite a long span!

YEA!!! GREAT JOB ALYSSA!:hat: Don't go crazy just yet - wait till you've been programming a few years!! (it's a blissful madness, I've been told..):jester: it is fun to finally figure out how something works like those equations.. kind of an aha! moment (nerdvana..:laugh3:) I dig it too.

What are you thinking right now?
Why does history repeat? Is there a reason, like collective cultural amnesia? Fighting back against IDENTITY THEFT from our Federal Trade Commission. Isn't technology great - no need to use explosives to open the vault - just hack into the computer, get the codes, go on a phishing expedition.. Sheesh! at least in the "good ol' days" it took time to steal someone's identity (and thus everything they own..) Technology sometime = neurosis. Bob Dylan, "Well, you know my songs are all mathematical songs. Now you know what that means, so I'm not gonna have to go into that specifically here."

Scale of offensiveness.
Take 1 goose, 1 turkey, 4 cabbages, and stir. If anyone offers it to you, remember to duck!:P Duck Soup was written with offensive comedy (of course, Groucho Marx..) - telling of our current situation here in the US - funny, and it was purportedly based on a country declaring it's independence in the Balkans.. Is our world in some ways bent on repeating history, just because??

WARNING: NERDY!
And just wait till you get to Calculus II - you can then do all that in reverse!:laugh3: (Solve these (shape) equations for volume using any of three methods - cylindrical shells, rotation of a plane, or by "slicing". BTW - You have 1 minute... good luck!:P) And it's just so useful! (well, it could be; or you could calculate the volume just using a computer sim. that fills the void and counts data points, or if it's a real object, you could just fill it with fluid, and measure the volume..) I think it might be used for computer simulations (programming), if you would want to do that.. Assuming you could fit a formula to the object!:laugh3: Hmm.. where is this stuff used???

Would you rather meet a celebrity or somebody off of Coldplaying?
Sounds Great! Do I just hop on a Canadian goose, or take Canadian Air to get there Tracie?:laugh3: I've already met Chris and Bono, but those guys are always in some hurry to save half the inhabitants of our planet from destroying the other half.. ;) You know - its a "calling", and they've had some amazing success. But time for we, the little people? Ya, right!;)

Pospekt is that colorful old guy with the pick, shovel, pack mule, and that tattered old hat, looking for gold in the California hills. He's in all the Westerns. Giddyup little doggie'. Whoa mule! Cliff ahead!!:P

USA Presidential Election 2008 [Daily News]
Unless something unusual happens, I think Nader will probably just draw attention to the problem of money corrupting politics (and this everything else down the line). The Democratic nominee will likey win (Barack Obama being the most likely in my hopes!). I had been a supporter of his in 2000, but then lost interest when the race tightened, and I felt then that he should have thrown his support behind Al Gore, by negotiating an improvement in reducing the money influence. But, Ralph has to be in the spotlight.. and he really has done a great deal of good relating to consumer advocacy - just wish he would remain an advocate, rather than trying to get attention by running. He would be more effective by not running, and instead advocating for Campaign Finance Reform - at the grass roots level. Oh well - my 2 cents!;)

What Time Is it and what are you doing ??
It's 8:29 and I am finishing a Cedar Crest Choco Chiller Malt Cup 8oz (134g) (Artificial Flavor and Color Added). It has a fine consistency, but all the flavor of wet cardboard! Definitely not the best - not much chocolate, so-so on the malt, but plenty of slippery guar gum and xanthan gum. Maybe it's past the shelf-life??Next time, I'm going all-natural:P.

5 thoughts on your mind right now!
.1 how do we keep it all running amidst the madness? .2 I wonder if shell shock really does make those memories repeat? .3 when I see the keyboard I see 6^, not 7^ .4 why do they call it a malt cup, when it really tastes less malty, and more cuppy? .5 when will we ever learn...

Golden Submarine
"Paul McCartney wrote this as a children's story. The story goes - Paul was lying in bed late one night, and an idea popped into his head to write a children's song - the actual song may have been a spin-off from Bob Dylan's "Rainy Day Women #12 and 35." Paul was purposely using short words in the lyrics because he wanted kids to pick it up early & sing along. So then we go to Bob Dylan from there? One possible interpretation: Beatles, forced to stay in hotel rooms and live under pressure = Submarine. Because they were having a good time, it was Yellow (friends all aboard). Sea of green = money. Which leads to Coldplay's song "Yellow"!
