  1. Well, if you look at that way it will sound illogical. I think of it like that sometimes myself. But I think if you believe in God and the fact that he created the universe then probably you won't think of it as being illogical. Oh and thanks for telling me about Dawkins :)
  2. First day of fasting! Can say I'm fine so far. It's still till 7:30 though.. wooh
  3. I probably will. Yeah, and I know about how many people think that evolution is based only on the fact that we humans have evolved from apes and that's that. That sums up the whole evolution theory but you've got the movies and TV to blame for that. However, I was talking before about the actual creation of the universe and the world and not animals changing and whatnot. Does Dawkins talk about it in his book?

  5. I believe in that, yes. I believe in some evolution and I can't see why it won't happen among one species. However, what I took about evolution in regards of how the world was created (which was, indeed, a simple shortened theory I took in school), to me, always sounded as complete and utter nonsense and correct me if I'm wrong. I believe in creationism strongly as I am a religious person. Also, what always backs my believe in God is nature. Everytime I watch one of those Animal Planet or Nat Geo Wild channels (and I do so often) I feel as if it strengthens my believe in God. And to think that all of that has been created out of nothing. The endless amount of animals out there, of all kinds and sorts and colours and beauty is just hard for me to think it came from nothing without having a greater power put in its hand in all of that one way or the other.
  6. ^If I am correct about who did yours, then they are away for some while. --- I wonder if my partner is ever gonna listen to mine.. Haven't seem them around this thread yet :(
  7. Ramadan Karim, everyone! :nice:
  8. And I love your avatar! :nice:
  9. Yay, I'll add all of these to my music-to-download list. And yes, of course you can :nice:
  10. Haha! Not really :wacky:
  11. I love that movie and soundtrack so bloody much. Jonny love!
  12. Nice mixtape there, Chris!
  13. Ooh, thanks for all the detail! :nice: Well, let's see: I will definitely be checking these guys out. :D If you got any preferable albums to recommend, I'd appreciate it. I think I've heard of them before! It was a really good song. What album should I start with? :) I know her! I've seen one or two songs for her on the TV and liked them. But I'll check her out now. :) I'm so glad you chose them for the mix! I heard "Underdog" on the TV a while back and I really liked it but I was a bit hesitant whether to get the album or not but I think I will now. And what would you recommend me from their earlier work? Good to hear it's great! I'll be getting it soon, for sure :D Honestly, I did think of Welsh at first as it sounded like English but then I heard some letters being pronounced like Icelandic which got me confused hehe. But again, I'm glad you chose them for the mix! It was quite cool to hear some Welsh :D ------- Thanks a lot again for the mix and all the work put in it. I really enjoyed it :D

    I like! They look cool.
  15. Review after second listen: 1. Pop rock this is. Good for an intro track. Sounds a bit familiar. Can't help moving to it. 2. Drums. Very cool beginning; somewhat reminds me of Devotchka. I like this a lot! An instrumental track and quite different from the one before. 3. This I like as well. Brit rock. Cool guitar work. I'm moving to this too. 4. Violins for the beginning. It's nice but I'm not so keen on it. 5. Cool beginning. Is this a cover? I really really like this one. "Relaaax!" Has a bit of 70s rock influence in it, I'd say. 6. Electronicish start. Not too keen on this actually. Seems like a remix, maybe? 7. Acoustic at the beginning. Interesting sound takes over. This one is nice; instrumental. 8. Very cool guitar work. "nanannana" Is it the same artist as the 5th one? Awesome. Can't wait to see who this is! 9. This one is acoustic. It's nice. Not big on it, though. 10. I really like this one. Is it old? It's poppish, still I like it a lot. Some really good guitar work in it. 11. This one is very nice. Poppish as well. But I very much like it. 12. Quiet, acoustic beginning. Women's voice. Adele, is it? Sounds like her though I don't know her music that well so I'm not sure. I quite like this and how it takes up. Her voice is amazing :) 13. Very different approach now. A bit of electronica. This I really like. Didn't expect it, honestly. Deffintely a standout. 14. Nice at the start. Violins. Quiet nice and catchy. I like it; very cheery. 15. Ah, this one is Mew's! :) But I don't know it. New album, is it? Still haven't listened to it. But I'm glad to see them on here. 16. Ukulele. Sounds live. It's quite nice :) 17. People chattering in the background. Weird sounds. Interesting way to end the mix. Women's voice takes over. I like it so far. Takes up now. Is this Icelandic? Or not, I'm not sure. It's quite nice, nevertheless. I would say it's Sigur Ros too but it's not Jonsi's voice, so I don't know. I really enjoyed this mix. Maybe the best I got so far. Very different than what I'm used to listen to. But I needed this change and to listen to more brit/pop rock rather than the obscure stuff I usually listen to. So, thanks a lot, my mixtape maker :) Standouts for me were: 2, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 17.
  16. As much as I like FCC, I just don't think it'll ever be as great as Gulag Orkestar.
  17. Had problems downloading mine yesterday but it's all fine now. Gonna post my review soon :)

  19. A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess :) And before that The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, which I loved.
  20. What a bitch.
  21. Round 2 1  2  3 :hat: (cruel.) 4 :wacky: (too cruel.) 5 :cheesy: 6 :disappointed: 7 :P
  22. Well, that's soon! Man. You guys are all so luckyyy :( Anyway, I would say have fun but it is Radiohead after all!
  23. That was one of the songs I wanted to end my mixtape with too :P I like your choices for Deerhunter and Grizzly Bear, btw :) And I'm hoping to discover some new stuff as I only know half of the songs on there! -- Will be listening to mine tonight and the review will come tonight/tomorrow :) And I'm most probably gonna upload mine tomorrow.
  24. Are they still 30 songs?
