  1. Wow, what the hell was wrong with that reviewer???? like you said majgirl, they were once accused of their songs being "too simple" so they change it up a bit in the new album, and now the older "simple" songs are missed??? uhhhh, what, huh???? As soon as I read that she didn't like the acoustic version of Yellow, which is so sweet live, I knew to delete the whole review from my brain. When people here mentioned how it seems that others think it cool to hate Coldplay, I thought they were overreacting. But when I read articles like this...it totally proves that! You know what...let people hate Coldplay...so maybe less people will show up at shows and I have a better shot at front row seats!!!
  2. pretty pretty LASHES!:lips:
  3. I always liked Will...he seemed like the "tough" guy of the group, kinda sexy. But I totally fell for him at the Today Show with all his cute smiles...he was so chilled out. And yeah, exposing his chest while in my direct line of vision just cemented my love. Just like the 4 albums, every day I put the 4 guys in different order of most-least favorite depending on my mood (not that any album or guy is not, but you know) and lately Will has been in the top spot. I think he and Guy should fight it out. Nekkid. :wink3:
  4. So, good to know there's at least 2 of us softies getting emotional over Coldplay flashbacks! LOL Makes me feel a little better... LIFE IS FOR LIVING...you love what you love, you do what you love and if others think it's too much, so be it. For me, this was a once in a lifetime experience. Amen!:)
  5. YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMYYYYYYY. :stunned::kiss: He does need someone to feed him some meat&potatoes to fill up those jeans a bit, though.I don't normally cook, but I"ll become a chef if I have to!!! You've heard of the Naked Chef right....well I'd have Naked Dinner Guest.....:sneaky:
  6. THAT'S EXACTLY why it's my favorite track off the album, and one of my fave Coldplay songs period. And I'm not just a casual Coldplay fan, either. Following it's message of "things suck right now but i'll keep holding on" is the inspiration I used to free MSG tickets and (practically)front row at Today show :D. Also, Trouble is the song that hooked me onto Coldplay. And bertuzzi44 I totally agree!
  7. OMG every time I come in here to read up on whatever I missed since the last time, I get to see more pics and read more "reviews," and I re-live the whole thing over again, and I still can't believe it really happened!!! Someone told me about "Coldplay depression" that hits once your high is gone and you realize you won't get to see them again for a while (and in this case as close ever again, most likely) but it hasn't hit me yet!! I'm still living off adrenaline a little bit! All day today (yesterday for you reading, since its 4am already) I couldn't stop yacking a mile a minute, telling friends all about my experience LOL. Funny story...I was at Macy's, just looking for a dress, minding my own business not thinking of anything regarding Coldplay, when Clocks starts playing. I started crying. LOL Not full-blown tears, 'cause I'm not thhhaaaattt bad, but I got all emotional hearing Chris's voice, while images of the sound check flashed in my mind! I'm so glad I've got this place to tell this story, since my friends all think I'm nuts, and when I told about going to Today show they were all "oh that's nice for you, so....where are we going for dinner?" LIke, HELLLOOOO this was a fucken big deal event for me! Sigh, what can you expect of those not affected by the Coldplay addiction...(sorry, had to let that out :veryangry:)
  8. aammmazing pics!!!! i was right next to you, and mine are only half as good, and no super close-ups of will's chest hair! hehe
  9. between the humidity and excitement and exhaustion, i'm surprised all of us didn't pass out! anyway, to me the sound check was the best part! and hey, they did get her address, so maybe something really cool will come her way--and then yours, too, if she'll share ;-) P.S. I've FINALLY gotten all my pics, from camera & phone, uploaded on to flickr. First time using so I took some time to figure my way around...and now to SLEEEEP!
  10. OHHH hhiiiieee you're home!!! Finally got to see my pics, and they're not so bad (I still want a new camera though! lol) I'm uploading onto Flickr right now and will post link asap.
  11. Ok, so here's my story...let's see what I come up with since I think I'm still in shock and don’t really know when I’ll snap out of it. LOL:o It was an AMAZING experience!!! I got to meet up with Angie akaTexasluvsjonny and Mel aka melanieau , and Lori (I know I was told like 3xs your screen name but my brain is FRIED I’msorry!) and kinda sneak into their little group hehe. When I got there at 4:45am they were already there at the front of the VIP line, which kept growing behind me right after I showed up. If I didn't meet up with them (Mel was my +1) I would have NEVER EVER gotten the bleepin' fricken awesome spot--2 people back right smack in front of Chris w/ direct view of Will!!! So thankyouthankyouthankyou guys! :kiss:I don't think I'll EVER be that close the band again!!!!(well until I get an autograph, and then a picture, and then a hug, and a kiss, and....then get arrested!!!!!LOL) THANK YOU THANK YOU Ian for giving the passes...it was such a wonderful and unique experience that I can't imagine ever being topped. I took some pics which, when I get some more sleep (I only took a 2hr nap after not sleeping for like 26hrs, during which I did 8hr shift at work) gotta figure where/how to post them. But I didn't take that many really, 'cause 1)turns out my camera sucks! and needs to be retired, 2)the stupid battery died RIGHT after soundcheck! wtf!!! and 3) I kinda just wanted to be 'in the moment" and just absorb as much as I could of what was going on. I’m so happy got to see this up close&personal, ‘cause it’s so different than a regular tour show. The guys were all really relaxed, in a really great mood, and, especially during soundcheck—my favorite part!—so “themselves,” not the big stage persona that you see at a show. (Well that I guess applies mostly to Chris). During sound check I was just staring intently at whatever was happening on stage, even the little chats and looks between the guys. Will and his wonderful smiles just looking out at the audience; Guy taking pics of us w/ his supercool camera—I know he’s gotta have a ton of shots with me grinning like crazy; and Johnny and Chris chitchatting. I still can’t believe I got to see that with my own eyes!!! When they came back out all dressed up for the taped performances, all these “very VIPs” (I think they were friends/family of NBC execs) got right in front of the barrier. So I went from 2nd to 3rd row...still fanfuckingtastic, but these two women were just standing there w/ their sunglasses on (it was cloudy the whole time) and it just annoyed the hell out of all of us true fans. Especially since right behind them and in front of me where these 3 little kids, and they then couldn’t see anything! But, I think I should be thankful for the annoying blonde in the yellow, ‘cause she served as a guiding point to find myself in the videos on the Today Show website!!! LOL So whenever there’s a shot from behind Chris toward the audience, in the center of the very front, find the blonde in yellow, then slightly behind and to the right of her you’ll see a not so blonde head w/ a big KoolAid smile bouncing up and down to songs…that’s ME!:D:dance: OMG Forgot to add that I got a SETLIST!!! Very first actual band souveneir EVER!!!! aaaahhhhhhh! Now I just want more more MORE!!!! hehe This was incredible amazing unbelievable and definitely UNFORGETTABLE. Thank you again to Ian for making it happen, and to Angie&Mel&Lori for putting up with my nonstop giggling in the beginning, and my exhausted zombie-like state at the end. Such a perfect day…
  12. I'M THERE TOO!!! Right behind the sign LOL you can just catch a sliver of my cheek to the right of if by Angie's hand :laugh3:
  13. JBARRY5503 I'm sooo sorry for your terrible loss. I'm sure that little Coldplay fan has front row seats to EVERY show!!! :) So happy you got VIP passes! See you there!!!! I Hope so!!! I made the mistake of not taking mine to MSG, and then missed a great opportunity to get good shots when they came into the audience to sing Yellow!!!! Now that I'll be even closer than that, I am not making the same mistake!!!! Camera is already charged and ready to go!!
  14. I'm still awake! LOL (i work night shift, and came home at 5 and read the email that told me I'd won!!!!) Now I'm waiting until SOMEONE/ANYONE in my life wakes up and gets back to me so I can tell them my story :D. they all think I'm crazy, that's why I come on here to feel "normal." lol
  15. OMG just got see vids on the website...perfect!!! And they played my two fave songs from the album!!! I love Chris's kinda nervous huuuge smiles as Jon was talking to him, so adorable!
  16. :) thanks! thank God for time diff. so someone is up at this time (it's 6am US time) I'm so excited, and I can't even wake up my roommate yet to share news with!!!! so thanks for sharing hehe
  17. OHHHH MMMMYYYY GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWD!!!!! I just checked my email...and unless I'm dreaming...I got VIP PASSES!!!! I don't understand how this happened...it's a FUCKEN MIRACLE. ohmygod...my heart is pounding outta my chest and i'm laughing&jumping in my room at 5:30am!!!! :shocked2::laugh3::dizzy2::dance: IAN, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! :D Let me go read the email for the 10th time, in case I missed the fine pring of "just kidding' or something, 'cause i don't believe this hehehehe
  18. I'm right in that neighborhood (well not yet at the big 3-0, but close enough!) but then I start talking to my friends about Coldplay, and "ohmygod i gotta go to that concert and i'm going to Today at 5am, etc," and I become like a geedy teenager LOL. So lets not worry about age, and just enjoy our extended adolescence! :D Age really is how you feel inside (ever been around 30 something BOYS? sigh) hehe I only remember my correct age when I gotta pay the bills and gotta pass cool last minute invites to go to work...arghhh. Coldplay is like the fountain of youth LOL That being said...I now gotta log off here to deal with some real life adult boring crap--like cleaning and laundry and such. boooh.:veryangry2:
  19. damn, 10pm!?!?!? If you don't get a good spot, I don't know who will?!?! Are there people standing out there right now? LOL So I'll make it by 4:30/5. Does that mean I'll be a few blocks away from the stage :(??? I def. need to hook up with you guys, 'cause by myself I wont' have the guts to start being all pushy to get a decent spot. But with someone's encouragement and support I'll get all FANATICAL and move up!! LOL
  20. coldplayay--so I should look for 2 people way jacked up on caffeine or 2 people passed out on a heap on the floor?? LOL
  21. CONGRATS to everyone who won. Yeay! I'm truly happy for you!!!! :D(not too disappointed for myself really...i'll be there, even if it's waaaaaay in the back!) So, for those that didn't win but are still going...I'm going by myself and will probably be there around 4:30/5. I'll feel weird standing there for 2hrs all alone. Anyone else in this situation want to buddy up? Or is there going to be like a big sign "COLDPLAYING.COM members here!" so I can gravitate to those people??? hehe (besides the lucky VIPs) P.S. Thanks Ian for posting the names of winners, so I don't have to keep refreshing my inbox holding on to hope hehe
  22. NO WAIT, I was one of those! I posted a teeny little complaint, but it was about it not being long enough....and not being able to see...but that's just 'cause I CANT' GET ENOUGH of CP hehe!! Not 'cause I'm being ungrateful!!!! :( Believe me I feel blessed to have been there, hell I even cried a little. (maybe I shouldn't admit to that, since it would hurt my chances of winning for this, if ppl think I'd embarrass coldplaying.com by being all teary-eyed so close to the boys!!!! LOL But yea, us lucky enough to have gotten to be there last night shouldn't bitch about anything...(i'm sorry!)
  23. Congrats! & Good Luck...now my suggestion... We Never Change so I wanna live... in a wooden house I wanna live life and always be true and I wanna live life and be good to you I wanna fly and never come down and live my life and have friends around (Man, I think I' now want this song in my wedding, one day!:))
  24. they have an online version as well...free if you're already a subscriber to the service, but it looks like they have FREE trial. So I'm thinking come July 15th, I'll become interested in trying that out.:wink3:
  25. First, let me just say this...winigwl that fucken sucks!!!! I'm so sorry for you. I don't know the whole story but I'm pissed off on your behalf! But you know what, that just means karma will pay you back big time some day...maybe you'll get front row seats or even meet the band or something to make up for it :-). Now as for the show...I'm so happy. I have no complaints!!! Perfect experience. Amazed and thankful I got the chance to go. Free show, had a wonderful time hearing my favorite band LIVE, and also going with a friend who'd never been to a proper concert and is also a newbie Coldplay fan. She's now hooked! Looooved it. When LIT first started, I have to admit I actually had a case of watery eyes:embarassed:. Energy was through the roof. Sang my lungs out. The guys were so ON and seemed to have a great time themselves. At one point even shy Johnny-boy did a little dance with Chris coming down the ramp. Will is amazing--drummer and now singer, too hehe. When they went into the crowd for Yellow, I saw them getting closer and closer to my section (201) and couldn't believe that the ONE time I didn't bring a camera they were so close to me!!! But it's burnt into my mind forever! (Guy truly is a beautiful man :wink3:) That said, I do agree with some things people have said regarding short set list and also how the VLVODAAHF are not all played by the guys. I would love for it to feel a little more, stripped down and less produced, more a la Rush of Blood tour. I'm sure it's just for now since this was a pre-tour show, but I did like the more simple set. Makes me focus on just the guys and the playing. Though the "magic balls" are kinda cool and add some ambiance. My fave set designs were during Clocks w/ the multi colored lasers, and Lost! with the words on the diff colored balls. Oh and the confetti is pretty! Ok, I think that's it. :) I think I got most of it out of my system. ..sorry I went on and on.... Ok And on some more.--I don't necessarily miss the big screens in back of stage from last tour, but I would like at least 1 to be able to see the guys faces better, trying to see on the magic balls wasn't too clear, and it's hard to see them yourself unlesss you're in 1st row floor seats. (But all this is just nitpicking, I'm sooo happy and it was such a great show, and free on top of it all...too much! Thanks Coldplay!!!!!)
