really?? i didn't know that. they must be short but sweet tracks to have made it on the album then lol. today i was driving along the motorway and instead of listening to mew, i put in takk, turned it up and honestly, it made me experience the album in a completely new way. it made me even more inspired by sigur ros, if that's possible! :stunned:

comforting sounds is just a - wow! the start, middle, end...it's a song i can never get tired of. and the clip is wonderful, particularly the first half. i can't name my favorites on frengers because every song is amazingly dreamy in its own right. don't even get me started on atghk!!!

^^ from what many have said about von, i have intentionally not listened to it before i've got the 3 albums. i don't wanna throw myself in the deep end just yet.

oh how exciting Will! the album really is mind blowing! i think everyone should listen to mew ... at least once, otherwise they really don't know what they're missing out on.

8.5 - it's once i'd consider using!

so i woke up this morning with a tonne of things to do so naturally i lay in bed an extra 15 mins, then i suddenly remembered that my university placement results come out today so i jumped up and opened up the page and ... i got in to my first preference at the university of queensland! i'm quite excited. the main thing about this news is before i considered doing science, i was doing teaching, and after 1.5 years of that, one could easily think it's too late to change, but i didn't and now i'm doing something i really really like. it's never too late to change...and yeah, YAY :dance:

the IB is a diploma program done in addition to the final 2 years of high school. it consists of doing 6 classes (score out of 7) and an extra course known as TOK-theory of knowledge and an out of school part known as CAS-creativity, action, service. the last 2 combined are out of 3, so a total of 45. the higher your grade the better your chances of getting into the university you want. and because it is the IB - international baccalaureate it is recognised internationally (most countries). it consists of written assessments throughout the 2 years, with either 2 or 3 final exams for each of the 6 classes. it's very intense and unnecessarily stressful (hindsight lol) but it really prepares you well for uni. phew! lol

i recommend them, apocalypso and special first, but no pressure or anything :tongue: i'm a little addicted to them atm lol i'm thinking...how can people think that song is boring? (thought jump) when will cp release their 4th album?!

peng, do you have the IB there? if so are you considering doing it? after the igcse exams i thought everything was smooth sailing, then i learned of the IB and that kinda changed all that lol

that 4th pic from the french show - that was a really weird interview. i felt like they kept cutting chris off. but it was in french and i understood nothing so maybe i missed something.
