16! that's way too young, even 18 imo. i'd say 20 but whatever the age, they need to attack the retailers selling to those under the legal age. in aus, smokers are no longer allowed to indulge in placed that sell food and drinks. all restarants etc are completely smoke-free, making it difficult for smokers but better for me :smug:

i know, i hate knowing, and she's now 20! her parents and my mum are good friends. her parents wanted a girl after having 3 boys and decided it was best to adopt instead. what's ironic about this is that she always comments on how different she is to her brothers but how similar she is to her mum, mentally and physically. i guess when you really believe something, you don't doubt it at all and see things that aren't even there. i don't know.

^ i saw this thread yesterday and forgot to ask you to post pics fom the concert! it came and went so fast. nice photo btw, i find myself having a renewed respect for robbie williams despite his latest album, largely due to some doc i saw on him.

this has reminded me of this time i got to school and everyone was acting really weird. you could immediately sense something was up. one of my closest friends, lisa, came up to me and was like "omg, we just found out jen is pregnant, like it happened at some club and she got drunk..." i was so shocked and pissed that that could happen to her, anyway one thing led to another and i ended up telling lisa that jen's parents would be unforgiving of this since she was adopted and they have sacrificed so much for her, and for her to get pregnant while still in school and no idea of who the father was, was completely stupid. normal reaction from my part i believe, but the only problem was that jen doesn't know she is adopted. so immediately lisa was like "oh gosh kathy, i wish you didn't tell me" i didn't get this at first but when lunch came, everyone yelled out "kathy.....APRIL FOOL DAY!" i was stunned to say the least. then i looked at lisa and she knew exactly what i was thinking! i was such a fool! i totally let a secret out that could seriously damage jen's life as she knew it, over some stupid joke that everyone was apart of but me. to this day jen doesn't know and i think it's up to her parents to inform her, it isn't any of my business, but in a way it is. sometimes i wish i didn't know for fear of the day she eventually is told and finds out i knew all along. sorry about this really long post everyone, but i've been thinking about it since the start of this thread.

haha yeah i'll make a note of that, though the closest place for skiing here is being threatened by bushfires. hope you had a great time btw, i enjoy skiing a lot though i rarely get to do it.

today is the last day of my uncontrollable xmas/new year feasting. and i realised all the weight i lost before the holidays, i've practically gained back through this ridiculous habit. very much a '2 steps forward, 1 step back' scenario. i really don't need to do it, and i'm not hungrier than usual so there is no logic in eating more, but i do. so this being my last day i would've usually stuffed myself more than on any of the previous days, but i didn't. and feel better for it. i shall remember this feeling for when next year comes so i can enter the new year healthier and not feeling like an elephant. [probably make no sense to any of you, but it's something i can reflect back on later.]

Hi Carole, 5 words to sum up my New Years: family, friends, champagne, chocolate, fireworks! it was fantastic. we spent it at our place and saw fireworks taking off from all surrouding beaches, so 3 set of fireworks going off. they were 5 mins early so we did a countdown and celebrated, then heard the real countdown from the sydney telecast and were like "wft" haha, so we celebrated and did our own countdown for a 3rd time lol it was great, champagne and music all around! phew, what a day :pleased: what about yourself? i'm guessing you had a big night since you slept in most of the day lol foxy roxy still lives it seems :D as for $100, luuucky, these holidays have sucked me dry, dry i tells you!

i love green, but i know my work won't allow me to wear green nailpolish to work so i've been forced to take it off, but to savor the moment...a pic! notice my green curtains! lol

i have secrets i'll eventually tell in time, others i'll probably keep to myself or until i'm forced to tell by some means. everyone has secrets. i know other people's secrets that i sometimes wish i never knew, but they aren't my secrets to tell.

hm ok. i did a search and got nothing. but here in brissy we're one hour behind so i don't think i've missed it! :D

the coldplay song for me is politik. the two non-coldplay songs that stand out are special/mew and glosoli/sigur ros. glosoli is the first song i actually heard in 2007 though!
