What does everyone think? Its brilliant :) Was a bit hit and miss at first but really enjoy the whole album now! I Run (the new I Can't Come Down :P) and Quarters are my favs!

Its a good move I think as it gets people excited and I don't think they care too much about charts because ASFOS is ineligible to chart in most countries because its the 3rd instant grat and that fails the rules of most chart companies.

Just saw the Netherlands iTunes chart and ASFOS is #1 outselling the #2 which is Magic :lol: by 9 times. Dutch people are awesome!

The competition has ended, there wasn't as many entries as anticipated to make this work. Thank you very much to those who participated (I have sent PM's out) and stayed tuned for the next Coldplaying competition or challenge! As the new album, Ghost Stories, draws nearer, we have an exciting new competition where you have a chance of featuring in a 'thank you' message to our beloved Coldplay! This will be a message of thanks to the band and everyone involved in the making of Ghost Stories and will be sent to Coldplay's twitter page around the time of the album launch. At least 6 fans are in with a chance of having their photo as part of a photo montage, representing the Coldplaying community! What you have to do : Take a picture, in the most creative, funny, different or just plain weird place / scenario with a message relevant to thanking Coldplay such as thank you Coldplay' or 'I love Ghost Stories'. It is recommended that you feature in some way on this photo, as a selfie, normal photo or in the background, if you don't want to feature in it, your forum name can be shown in an artistic way. The main feature / highlight of the image has to be the thank you message. Group photos will be considered too. Must be 'family friendly', so something that can be shown to everyone! The message itself can be on a sheet of paper, cardboard, even tattooed on you! (temporary or permanent, up to you!) Could be painted on something (as you have permission and not breaking any laws or the Coldplaying police will be ready). Arranged with food maybe, the possibilities are endless. A few examples of photos (maybe extreme examples!) could be bungee jumping off a plane in New Zealand with the message painted on the plane, in a middle of a ghetto in Romania with 'I love Coldplay' sign with unimpressed onlookers (Coldplaying has no responsibility for 'lost' equipment!) or in the middle of nowhere in a Russian goat farm. We encourage everyone across the world and all cultures to take part, the large diversity of Coldplayers makes this place great Submitting photographs : Please submit the photos to myself (Sparky) by private messaging me on the forums. You can use an image uploading site like tinypic and send me the link. The photos will be reviewed the by Coldplaying team (myself and moderators). The final act : Once the winners are showcased on the main site, the graphic will be sent to Coldplay's official Twitter to which we ask everyone to please retweet and share the article from the main site on Facebook! We will aim to build a massive chain of retweets and shares to send our gratitude to Coldplay, promote the new album, Ghost Stories and Coldplaying at the same time! Everyone here will have a part to play in this whether its entering the competition or simply retweeting and sharing this once the article for the thank you message if up on coldplaying.com

I can relate so much to what Chris said, its really so emotional, the parts about being not as vulnerable as he should be and opening up to love and about Ghost Stories being about letting go of the past and moving on and not letting previous experiences damage your present. It was so moving and great advice to which I will learn from and act upon too and I hope others do too and there's gotta be more love and positivity in the world! Chris also refers to the 'English in me' or 'Being English...' a lot in terms of less openness and the 'English anxiety', he mentions it an awful lot. Obviously every culture has its negatives and Chris obviously feels a bit held back by the mindset he was perhaps brought up around and remember the live 2012 documentary when he also stated about 'not feeling guilty about enjoying ourselves' refering to their English upbringing. Its something I do agree about with Chris, but would be interesting to see the other Coldplayers think, especially other English people.

Its so upbeat and energetic, it offers something different and adds to the variety of the album imo bar Ink, depending how it turns out. My favourite parts of the song at the moment are the fade at the start of the track with the piano hook and Jonny's Where the Streets Have No Name esque outro :D

The dark horse of the album!

There has been a bit of criticism for the lyrics on Ghost Stories so far but based on O (Fly on), True love and with Ink to come, there are some absolutely brilliant lyrics!

Thank you so much, its great to wake up to this, really means a lot! Its so great having such a challenge and I had a really detached feeling before, didn't post much for a while and didn't feel as fulfilling as it should be being a crazy Coldplay fan and its perfect being able to share this new experience with everyone, you have all been so great. It doesn't just stop here for me too, myself, maybe like other people here are not in a place they would like to be in terms of the positivity around them and other things like day job, culture etc... but I want to change that and I am part of the way there with this place and I have the goal to follow Coldplay around the world, visit new places and share the experience with everyone, it might take a little while but the dream is there I am determined to make it happen. For Coldplaying, I know there is even more potential to expand even more, keep improving and the growth has been great so far but its only the beginning and there a lot of amazing times to come :D Thank you all!
