xm residency ^ Gah!? I know, look at ALL the mistakes. Can these writers not spell J-O-N-N-Y correctly!?!?! :veryangry: Get rid of that bloody "H"! It's not silent, it's non-existent :P And they can't even tell the difference in their voices either. It was Jonny who made the "I like nipple peep shows" comment, not Guy! There are differences in their accents & voices. I guess only us real fans notice. :smug: Wow, I'm surprised the press didn't mention anything about phoning Will's nanny or Chris' lady's bits/waxers comment. Haha, yeah like Chris ever thought that liking Coldplay was a cool thing... :D Chris: "It's so liberating not being cool!"
  2. chris ^^ Haha! That's awesome! He must really like that shirt :wink3: Good sleuthing work there clisaj! ^ Thanks! :D It must be my calling! :sneaky: :wink3:  Awwwww... I love the 2003 Tour Diary :nice: It's just classic
  3. chris ^ MMMmmmm.. :dozey: Damn! That guy must be like 6 foot 8 in or something! Chris is 6'2'' (and that's pretty tall in itself!) Lucky tall guy :P :laugh3:...um, what's the pic on Chris' shirt?? :sneaky: (I know, it's flaming lips cover probably, but still :D) Honestly, I think I've become a perv convert now :uhoh:
  4. ^ Lol! OH MY GOODNESS!!! CHRIS BARES IT ALL FOR THE LADIES! :laugh3: Where in great coldplay land is that from? ^ :wiseguy: RAWWRRR!!! :wink3: reminds me of that pic of Chris eating chocolate cake -well, a cupcake- (on some interview)
  5. ^ :nice: Thankies! the paint program again. Yours is wicked cool! It really looks like Chris is peeking in on us! And the first time I saw your avi, I was like :shocked2: ...whoah Jonny!!! Haha, he's gonna eat me! :sneaky:
  6. ^ :shocked2: . . . . :laugh3: :D i just kind of made it and didn't really think about the other aspect of it....hahaha i shoulda known pervy thoughts would come :sneaky: Wow! The almighty Photoshop queen Thalia acknowledges my crappy little Paint program picture! Thanks! (hope it didn't scare you :P) And just to repost the greatness of Young 'ittle Chris (and his boxers that match his shirt... stripes)... :dozey:
  7. ^ No problem. You're welcome ;) Do you know a lot of Coldplay songs on the guitar? Or songs that require use of the thumb? Oh, and welcome to the board, by the way
  8. ColdplayBirdsFly replied to fsa's topic in Coldplay
^ Yeah, I tried to. I think she says "Hi Champion, Hello?" (Not as informative as we would've hoped...)

XM Residency Awwww man! The 4 week residency is over... :bigcry: But they were soooo good as Radio DJs, especially Guy ;) Hahaha, I'm still laughing from last Sunday's show. OMG, the nipple peep show comments, hilarious :laugh3: And when they tried calling Will and got...his French maid??? (i literally fell off my chair laughing) Chris: "Thanks for listening to us. Do you have anything else to say?" Guy: "Um, I just want to wish everyone, ....a great time..." [laughs] Chris: "Oh he's lost it!" And when Jonny wanted to play "Virginia Plain" by Roxie Music Chris said: "WHAT? You can't say that on radio, can you?" Jonny: "Why not?" Chris: "Well isn't that a lady's bits, isn't that when you shaved your..." [Major LAUGHS] Chris: "Ok, for all the waxers in the world! Guy's got his sunglasses on, I'm talking to much" [more laughs] Jonny: "Time to go Raymond's Revue Bar" Chris: "Ok we're off to a Nipple peep show, Happy Christmas, Bye!"
  10. chris ^^ :shocked2::o:lol::mellow::drunk::dead: *thump That's'....that's bloody AMAZING, that pic!!! THANKS :D I used this pic here (looks like he's sleeping) =
  11. awesome angie ^ I know :D, she's not even logged on ... and yet she's ON!! :o That beats the heck out of the Oracle :sneaky: lol, now it's: Originally Posted by Melanieau (and The Angie) *this is random, but let me just say again, I admire you girls for your luck in Chicago! sooooo sweeeet! :nice:

  13. chris photomontages ^ I can wait! :D Good luck!!!
  14. chris paint ^ Oh, haha. I actually don't have Photoshop. Wish I did. (but if i did, i'd never leave the computer... although i never leave the computer as it is because of coldplaying.com ) I used the very limited program called "Paint" :P Oooo, i wanna see some of your godly photoshop creations of Chris! :D
  15. Was just looking through this thread again and I thought... If ever Jonny or someone linked to Coldplay read through this thread, they'd absolutely keel over laughing  Can you imagine if Jonny found out about this!?!?!? :wink3:
  16. chris stuffing Haha, this is the image that came to my mind when I read your post! (this is no amazing Thalia masterpiece, but I tried with what scant Paint skills I have....) *Apologies if the creator of life dude looks like the Michelin man
  17. i ran away chords ^ (oops sorry, i forgot to say that didn't I?) Correct, it's just Standard tuning. ;) *sigh* they are just lovely chords, so pretty. But remember, as with most Coldplay songs, you need to use your thumb for the 6th string
  18. oracle The Oracle says: Q. I read somewhere that Guy was the 4th richest man in the U.K. under the age of 30. Aren't the other guys just as affluent, or does he just come from a wealthy family? The Oracle replies: It seems a little personal to me buy as it was published what the heck... Guy is under 30 and the rest of the band are not, so there you go, simple explanation. ------------------------------------------------------ Um, shouldn't that be "but", not "buy"??? The Oracle needs a spellchecker too :P Haha, yeah and Will is the youngest member, not Guy. Hmmm let's see. July 31, 1978 is younger than April 12, 1978!:idea2: And I thought the Q&A session was supposed to answer band/music related questions correctly  Questions like: What will Guy do with those pics on his camera? Will the boys release an album in 2009 and if so, will it be songs that were leftover from the "Eno sessions"? Will we get a Live DVD from this tour? ETC, Not one's about how rich they are or one's that could take a google-monkey to answer....:dozey: ^ (sorry I didn't see your post earlier) Hmmm.. I hope he has been. :nice: Maybe he can tell the Oracle to stop messing with us! :sneaky: :P
  19. Boston August 4th 2008 I cannot believe it's already been 22 days since the concert!!!! I wanna go back soooo bad! :bigcry: Back to the start :dozey: Anyway, just thought I'd finally get to writing about some of the highlights/quotes! Reminiscing material :daisy: Chris was sooooo quirky that night :laugh3: It was AWESOME! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* * During "Clocks" Chris still did the hand over head motion during the "shoot an apple off my head" part. *"In My Place" Chris says: "Oh it doesn't feel like a Monday to us. Thanks for coming out to see us everybody. Just for tonight we'll pretend we're from Boston and it's Saturday. U2 are playing." Then during Jonny's solo, he says: "Go J, go J, go! Ladies and gentlemen, our best friend Jonny Buckland!" *"Viva La Vida" Chris comments: "I think you people are gonna be louder than all of the other places we've played combined. Wow you're an incredible forum." *"42" Chris played the tune from JAWS since Steven Spielberg was supposed to be in the audience. During Jonny's 2nd riff, he kind of messed up the ending. He forgot the cool part at the end  * During "Yes" something happened with Chris' acoustic guitar and so Hoppy ran out to switch it. *"Fix You" Chris let us sing the chorus and then remarked: "Oh man, I can hear the Irish blood in the water!" *"God Put A Smile Upon Your Face" Chris sings: "God gave me style and wits, god bring me down to Massachuuuuuuusetts." *Before beginning "Yellow" Chris says: “It’s about time we said hello to everybody. We want to say hello to everybody, you know? There’s a lot of people for a Monday and we’re incredibly grateful for that. How you doing so far? [cheers] I dunno, I dunno what you’re missing on TV, maybe Home Improvement or a re-run of Seinfeld. Whatever you’re missing on TIVO or whatever, we really do appreciate it. Especially as we’re not even Irish or American and you’re still being nice to us. We appreciate it. Although we do have all the members of U2 on speed-dial, that I can assure you. It’s a close-knit community in the soft rock world. This is ah, this is a great big Monday sing-a-long. I don’t care what you’re missing on TV, you can sing to this.” *"The Scientist" Guy took pics of the crowd. Chris says: "So this is what it’s like in the back! See uh, we not so pretty up close, we’re not so good when you’re close to us. What can you do? We’re the ultimate radio band, we’re not going on TV. Haha. But anyway, seeing as we’ve come close we might as well sing something in the back. So uh, this is a song uh, this is a song I wrote after a steamy night with Condeleza Rice. Not really, but it sounds good! [laughs in audience, Chris laughs] We had great physical chemistry but the political just wasn’t there. So you have to make these things up. Anyways, this is called 'The Scientist'" *"Death Will Never Conquer" Chris says: "Now you may ask the question 'why does every singer from England think they can play the harmonica?' Well the answer is, we can't! And really, it's an affetation. It's an attempt to be like Mick Jagger, an attempt to be like Bob Dylan, and it really doesn't work. So I apologize for that. The one benefit it does have is uh, well it doesn't really have a benefit, shit, fuck that! I didn't really think that through. There's no benefit, it doesn't look good, doesn't sound good, doesn't feel good, it's just a waste of everyone's time and money. However, we do have more cards up our sleeve than just a singer who plays harmonica. We have one of the most talented drummers in the history of the world. [crowd cheers] His name is Will. He's like a Swiss army knife. He can do anything, anything you ask. He can fix cars, he can drink, he can taste wine, he can seduce [laughs]. Forget that. Don't put that on the Internet for goodness sake! And the main thing he can do is sing beautiful songs before we go off and do the whole Encore shebang. You know how the encore thing works, we're gonna leave, we're gonna go come back, we're gonna come back, it's gonna be great, it's gonna be magical. This is Will, he's gonna sing to you. I'll shut the fuck up! We'll see you in a minute!" *Beginning of "Death and All His Friends" Chris says: "I didn't want to do this because it's cheesy, but we're great fans of his so he's probably left the building by now anyway to get into his helicopter. We'd like to dedicate this to Tom Brady your quarterback and we're big fans of his and we're very honoured he came to the show. As it is, all of you came to the show and I hope to goodness it was worth it and uh, what more could you have done on a Monday? Anyway, we appreciate it. We're going to Japan tomorrow morning and we're going to miss you. And thank you so much for coming in. OK, that's it. This is the last song, what can we do man? [laughs] All winter, we got married, OH fuck it! [laughs]" "Thank you so much everybody, thanks to our crew, thanks to...(couldn't hear what he said there), and the people of Boston for coming out to see us. Thanks a lot and have a good night!" :nice: When the boys were bowing, Jonny kept staring at my sign! Guy stayed while the others left and took a pic of the crowd.
  20. I Ran Away chords Verse chords are: C#min, Abmin, Amaj Chorus chords are: Emaj, F#maj, Dmaj, Amaj (x3) and then: Dmaj, Amaj (x2) hope that helps you
  21. New album!? I remember reading somewhere that the "Eno sessions" were very fruitful. So the boys actually have more songs that weren't finished in time for VLVODAAHF. I don't know where the heck i read that though  hopefully we'll finally hear songs like "leftrightleftrightleft", "glass of water", "lukas", "rainy day", "poppy fields", etc!

politik outro Here's the olde thread for it! http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2146157#post2146157 Hope it helps. :nice:
  23. oracle Heeeeeey, why hasn't the Oracle answered any questions today? It's not the weekend anymore... :sneaky: It's slacking off. :P (haha, I'm just joking of course) EDIT: Woah! The Oracle answered my question (that I didn't even send).
  24. Coldplay Sew their clothes! ^^^ Oh I totally agree! I think the band really enjoy the fact that they made their own spiffy outfits (even if it's just for a laugh and isn't true) In this interview Chris says: "I really like wearing these clothes...it makes me feel...good." :nice: It also features the lovely Jonny Buckland  and Will who says that another band (Dragon Ash) also used Delacroix's painting. And Guy was the one who thought of hand-making their own clothes.... the little fashion king haha. :crown: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjIwI3FO5qs
  25. Chris Guy's not in that pic cuz he doesn't like sports that much :dozey: I know, Chris' hair absolutely defies gravity! It's makes me laugh so much :laugh3: but here's Guy!
