Wij proberen er soms wel iets te winnen, we sturen daar top-artiesten voor (zoals Anouk vorig jaar) maar we krijgen het meestal toch wel voor mekaar om onszelf belachelijk te zetten... zoals met Sieneke en de Toppers... We hebben zoveel goede artiesten en dan stuurden ze uitgerekend ene Sieneke en de eeuh ja "toppers". :thinking:

She hasn't been on here for ages! She's making long days at Dutch class and work. :) I'm off now tho, will return tomorrow. :P

I'm having some ideas concerning a Coldplaying User band (not comparable with the other one). Well, everybody will have a chance to participate, no matter what you play. The idea is to write multiple songs together and share it with Coldplaying. Every instrument is possible, even pots and pans from your kitchen would be possible. I would like to receive a PM from everybody who want's to participate in this project. I will also need songwriters and other people with plenty of ideas. Do you play any instrument or do you think that you can make songs with beer bottles? Please send me a PM containing: - Your username, - Your instrument, - Maybe some ideas. How more, how better! Ones the first song has been written and recorded, I will take care of the mix and master. When we finished the first song, auditions will be started for the next one! :cool: So, I'll be waiting for the PM's and let you all know when we're ready for the next step! Our first project will be a Christmas song, so don't wait long and participate now. :)

I'd love to have the files aswell, however, I'm not able to donate at the moment. :(

Don't waste your time on the tabs, they're everything but correct. From studying the official recordings your simply not going to find the exact way it should be played. I, bass player, have been studying the bass of the song for a while (especially the live versions) and I can assure you, that it's not as simple as things like tabs will show you. I found out that Guy doesn't just play the roots, he also is part of the orchestral part (especially in the beginning). He's using effects to let his bass sound like a dark, deep organ and plays some of the cello sounding parts in the beginning. He goes from A# to G (I'm not sure anymore about the notes, been a while) and it gets louder and louder. In the chorus he still uses some effects, but not all of them. I swear by Logic Pro/Gragaband with all the Jam Packs! It's quiet pricey tho.. but it's simply amazing!

I'm not gonna say that it's immensely horrible but I don't really like it. There are a few reasons that I don't like it (especially as a designer my self). To start with: It's a mess! Nothing connects together. It looks like it are all different parts from different designs put together without any tweaking. - The website is not following the current standards! It brings the user years back and it doesn't improve much on the old layout except that it's different. - The content boxes are out of it's order. I mean: Big boxes | Tight boxes and middle sized boxes which makes things confusing. - It's not really grid based, by following the overall grid it could become much cleaner! - There is a lack of whitespace which could clean up a lot. - It's old! Now you might think.. old? It's actually new! It's not using HTML5 and CSS3 which is becoming the new standard soon, not that this is that big of a problem but I'd advise to follow these standards. - Contrast (color & content) Things don't seem to work well together, especialy the dark colors in the footer. And most of all, it's not really having the 'Coldplay' vibe! Improvements. What could be a huge improvement, is planning the content in a clean way. What has the biggest priority for the visitor to see when he/she enters the website? By combining things it will be possible to clean things up, and it will make things available for the visitor only when he/she wants to see it. By creating more whitespace, things will be cleaner and less 'bright to the eye'. I could add plenty more things but that would be way to much text but I'm just trying to be a help so it would be an amazing site for an amazing community ready for the future! :)

Well this has been tried for plenty of times now, but never actually anything happened! :( Anyway, skilled bass player here. Same counts for piano. :)

Original Coldplay or original own song? I'm in for bass btw! I could also do the piano.. depends on what's still needed.

Listen to the basses, and the vocals, the basses are way, way to loud and they press the vocals away.

Ok, what do I have to say about this... It's not so good to be honest. - Volume is completely out of control, I decided to stop it at a moment. - ReMIX? You mean just re. There is no mix in this, just cut and paste work and some additional instruments. - Mess, a huge mess! You should take more time for mixing, listen it with different sort of speakers. Also, put the volume untill you can hear it well, then a bit back, make space for the vocals and remove the 'over the top' lows and highs. Add some more rhythm, it's missing it! I hope it helped you!

Actually, mastering an own mix == no go! It takes the whole sense of mastering away. Always share your mix with others, discuss ALL of the critics, solve them. Then the master progress will start. So as the answer to approximately: a finished mix will probably already sound as you want it to be. However with the master you can bring up the dynamics, stereo field, overall limiting, overall reverb, overall EQ, extra warmth and after all, make it 'shine' for the ears. Any demos splintercell?

PVG without chords can't be right... it's like a door knob without the knob!! PVG stands for: 'Piano Vocal Guitar'. If there are no chords, than it's just PV. The sample also clearly shows chords for Hurts Like Heaven.(Bb - Ebmaj7) @ the Amazon.co.uk link: It sells a PVG but the picture clearly says, guitar tab... not such a good idea I think... :\
