We actually switched out our skip for our vice-skip because Schuster had screwed up so many last shots. I much prefer Smith, even if he did fuck up a few shots, including the one I mentioned. As optimistic I've been, and as close as our scores have been, its pretty obvious by now that both U.S. teams are pretty weak. Much weaker than last olympics, just making inexcusable mistakes on a consistent basis. After our men play Canada I'll switch my focus to the more talented match-ups.

I haven't watched the bobsled yet, but in regard to all these crashes. I noticed watching the skeleton what a bitch the last turn of the track is (the same one that killed the georgian). Every single slider in the skeleton slammed or smashed their right shoulder into the wall coming out of turn. I would argue there is something fundamentally wrong about the way it was constructed, and the fact that someone did die by making a mistake on that turn is no freak accident.
