also, a little known fact, a few years ago, you were able to have 4 songs on a CD and call it a Single. Now, because the record companies like to Squeeze every penny from the listeners and every song from their little Caged Monkeys, if it's any longer than a certain length, and has more than 3 songs on. It Has to be called an EP

i don't think coldplay will change their in terms of Synths and funny vocal effects etc. but i don't think it will remain like the previous two. But even within the first 2 albums, there's a change in sound i think. i find the Second one to be a lot more upbeat. there's no way songs like Daylight,In My Place & God Put A Smile Upon Your Face could fit anywhere on Parachutes, [i don't think]..and i also don't think We Never Change and Sparks could feature on A Rush Of Blood To The Head. I know they're using a Kraftwerk sample in a certain song, i get the feeling it could be a dark album in places, anyone else think this? :helmet:

yeah...they're friends, Chris and Simon, and Chris is in Shaun Of The Dead, whch i'm Sure 90% of people herer know already. I have a Live Version of 1:36, and if you don't like the Single Version, you'll not like the live version at all, it's a bit faster too. It's Fun Though i think, doesn't really sound 100% like coldplay have in the past, but that's ok, it would be boring if they just stayd the same for years i think.

'badlydrawngirl - i'm reading The Da Vinci Code currently, it's damn good' ^ i really want to read this, there is a programme on TV about this very soon, it might even be tonight! I rarely ever read, but in the new year, i made two promises i want to keep, try be more positive & Read at least 3 great books. Which for someone who never ever reads, is a good target i think. I'm currently Reading 'A Brief History Of Time - Stephen Hawking' I feel like i can feel my brain Swell when i am reading it :cool: :D

Bloc Party - Silent Alarm is due for release on 14/02/2005 but it is all over the internet already, and has been for some time. they've released a few EPs and singles, but as far as i'm aware of, this is their First Album! Even though i have it downloaded, i have mine ordered already :D i can't wait.

haha....i once had a Tape when i was little that i used to listen too before i went to sleep, it was Fireman Sam. Then one day, i had an awful pain in my ears...and it was because i used to leave the headphones on when i'd fall asleep. I have developed an ear infection. Davina McCall have a quite high pitched voice i find...i like the voice of Jonathan Ross though...even with his little Lisp :cowboy:

ha!!...that news excites me a bit! :D very secretive. i hope the album is great!...I am expecting it to be! I'd love the album not to be leaked onto the internet before it was officially released or even before the Radio DJs get a hold of it. But i have no faith in people close to the record companies or in the music indusrty being able to resist any form of money for an early version of the album.

Back in 1989/1990, When i was about 4 or 5 i used to think the year 2000 as people flying in cars that ran on water, and Humans would be similar to robots. But....no, 'Actress Joanna Lumley has the ideal voice for a bedtime story, according to a survey released today.' For me...the reason i couldn't get to sleep, was because this survey was still in progress...the completion will let me rest on a night, whether Mrs Lumley is reading me a story or not ;) :D

seems they've changed into what is becoming, or has already became, 'alternatively' popular. That type of music is piss easy to make, it could be a mix of 20 average bands around these days. but...i still don't mind it...but i think it'll be short lived, and will wear off me soon

Emotion Hardcore music i'm guessing. i hate emo, i'm not even sure why i looked in this thread, maybe i have too much time to spare these last few days. :blank: BritPop was really Oasis, and bands like that. If i listen to Oasis, i don't really think of a 90's White Boy Band. it's a tricky topic, because there's lots of sub-genre's. i rarely think about it, mostly because if i talk about it to someone...either I, or the other person, becomes too anal about it all :bucktooth:

The New Stereophonics Single What do people think of the new single?...I liked it from my first listen. They seem to have taken an influence from the bands that have taken influence from 80's music. Kelly Jones' voice has some effects on it, and it no longer sounds like you want to cough for him, although,i did get used to that on the first 2 albums, which i like. I hope they're going to become good again.

As soon as i saw the first video...i thought it was quick boring, and i was semi let down by Muse....but i like the new one! :cool: although, i don't really love the song

oasis Kind of Are pop, in a kind of song structure & hooks way, not a way in which they wear dresses where their nipples pop out, and they grab media attention. maybe 1 day though... :hat: i'm interested to hear the new Album and Single, i've bought all since the first album, and Heathen Chemistry i think was the worst...i hope they bring a better one out! just to shut the people up who slag oasis off for little reason :baby:

i'm not really a fan of them...but i think they write good songs for the people who do like that type. I don't agree that if you like Coldplay, you'll like Keane :/ Plus, there is a kind of bass sound in some of their songs, even if it's not a proper bass guitar.(not that i dislike them anymore for that) i don't really like it when bands take out the essential freqencies...(No Bass with White Stripes) i always feel like there's something missing, that should be there. And there is, a Bass. Just my opinion like. :) i certainly don't dislike Keane because the singers head is 5 stone in weight...i don't care or see what that has to do with the music :bobby:
