I really don't think that's Chloe. It looks more like Vickie the band PA to me, she has red hair, and I still think the girl on the far left with the obscured face is probably Nico, as it looks like she has dark hair.

Their names are Ava and Juno. I read somewhere that his brother is named Edward, but don't know if that's true. They look like they could be twins from that photo, there's a really strong resemblance.

Even if the hiatus doesn't pan out, it currently is not looking good for either European or North American tours next year. :\

It was just a thought. He's the only crew member I know of who even remotely matched that description. I do know the bass tech also functions as a sort of odd job man since there's so much less bass gear to wrangle compared to the other instruments. Was he Miller's assistant keyboard guy by any chance?

Guy's bass tech has a sort of mohawk-ish hairstyle (or at least he did at one time.) I can't remember his name as he only joined the crew during the later part of the Viva tour. Other than that, it doesn't sound like any of the core backline guys, so it's probably just a lighting tech or something.

I'd assume that's probably her on the far left. Then Vickie, Will, What looks to be Will's wife and presumably one of Will's daughters.

Is their tumblr new? I thought it had been around for awhile, but there are so many unoffical ones I lose track. :confused:

I did say that Coldplay were more likely to tour SA than a lot of other bands based on their previous history, and there seems a decent chance they will sometime in the early part of next year. I only meant to say that nothing is a foregone conclusion until it's actually announced. Ideally, they'd go everywhere people want to see them play, hopefully they'll at least go to a good percentage of those places, realistically who knows? :)

My guess would be they moved to Tumblr to avoid dealing with technical issues. Think about how often in the previous liveblogs how much of the time the posts were about how they couldn't get various things to work/post/etc. There's a lot less technical junk to wade through when you're not self-hosting that kind of thing. Just my opinion as someone who works in IT.

I've found places online that say both, but 6 seems by far the more common. I'm not sure it matters as far as the scheduling of the next album anyway because usually the only real coercion labels bring to bear on artists is through refusing to financially underpin the band until they begin recording, which would hardly be an issue for Coldplay.

Whether or not you consider MX a good album, I think it pretty much is already a clean slate from Viva. I mean, really the two albums don't have much similarity stylistically or construction wise. As for how the hiatus will affect anything, I'll believe the hiatus when it occurs, not when vague rumors say it will.

Most of the Coldplay Rumors start with someone "who's a friend of a friend of a friend to the band's t-shirt sales guy" to bolster their credibility. :rolleyes: There are a very few people who I believe actually know someone closely connected to the band, but for the most part those aren't the people starting rumors.

There's no bus these days, but that still leaves the mile high club. :lol:

Note that I qualified my initial statement with the words "native english speaker". There are a lot of international posters here who often struggle (and for the most part do quite well. :)), but at least they have an excuse. Considering the complete debacle that's resulted both times I attempted to learn a foreign language, I'm not one to judge.

Yeah he is. He's been quite open about the fact that he was a heavy drinker in his 20's but that's true of a lot of people even those who aren't rock stars. Honestly though, one of the big reasons I like this band is that the 4 of them all seem like fundamentally decent people.

He does seem to be having the time of his life out there. In that interview of him, you could really tell he was thankful for the opportunity he's had with the Xylobands. It's just hard to decipher what he's on about sometimes.

Yup. Lord knows if I was single and was considered as much of a sex symbol as Guy is, that's exactly what I would do. He does seem to have a slight inclination toward hedonism, but that's not a bad thing in moderation. :wink3:

The last year they didn't play a gig was 2004, and seeing as they're all family men now, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they did want an extended break. What's the point of success if you can't take some time to enjoy your life?

I'm pretty sure the Jonny/Will thing was just a case of wikipedia vandalism that got picked up some other places, as the stories were identical and came out the same day. Guy does attract more rumors than the others, probably because he's single and because he's regarded as the most stereotypical "rock and roll" member of the band, but I honestly doubt the validity of most of them. Despite his public image, he seems too shy to do a lot of the things he's rumored to do.

Just because they bought a house doesn't necessarily mean their completely abandoning London. They own several other properties as well in a variety of locations. As for the South American Tour, I'm not going to believe anything short of an official announcement, there have been too many "confirmed" dates in the past that never materialized.
