  1. Totally agree, though I will say that this is, sadly, no worse than what's been said about all the wives/girlfriend's of the band members. Guy seems to especially provoke this response in people, as a lot of the stuff said about Jo was also particularly virulent and mean.
  2. IMHO he has in general lately. More muscular and less -insert polite word of choice here-
  3. No clue. He is wearing the MX coverall though, which means that whatever he does, he's stage visible at some point during the show.
  4. FWIW the signature techniques of many famous and well regarded players come from "incorrect" things they picked up from being self taught.
  5. I'm not sure what I find more annoying, the current tangent regarding Guy's personal life, or that period of time when every post here was just multiple images of that shirtless pic. :P
  6. Quite possibly it wasn't their decision. Maybe there were technical issues with the video or something. Or someone other than the band liked Paris more. There are loads of reasons things might've gone down the way they did, I'm sure they didn't do it to hurt your feelings. :)
  7. The age difference and model thing are both fairly usual for men in Guy's profession. :)
  8. Maybe. All the stuff that's been written about it so far makes it sound like her reasons are more personal than professional though. There's also no reason the band can't record somewhere other than London. Just because they have a studio doesn't mean it's the only place they can ever work, and lots of bands travel to far flung places for inspiration when recording.
  9. He certainly has a type. She looks remarkably similar to his ex-wife.
  10. The most traditional method is to learn on an acoustic, but there's no reason you can't learn just as well on an electric. Honestly, I've heard a lot of people say they wish they started with electric as the necks are generally thinner (thus easier to finger correctly), plus then they're getting used to steel strings whereas a lot of "student" level acoustics are intended for nylon strings (they often have an untrussed neck to save money.) I'd say if you want to play elecric, just go with that.
  11. Those are Chris' guitars, not Jonny's...:P :)
  12. While it is not certain how much time they plan to spend in LA, it's a well documented fact they recently bought a house there, so that part is true at least. Honestly, I don't see how it will be all that different, as by all accounts they spend close to half of each year in the US anyway. Also if they were trying to sell their house in Belsize Park it would hit the many, many celebrity real estate blogs, and so far it hasn't. So yeah, who knows what's happening exactly, but something is definitely going on as far as them and LA.
  13. I could be wrong, but wasn't she already living (at least part time) in the UK when she met him? Regardless, I think living there is something they both wanted, and moving to LA is probably the same deal. If they weren't on the same page on big stuff like that, they're marriage wouldn't have lasted as long as it has.
  14. It is? I thought she was Danish.
  15. Well, since it sounds like his personal life is going well, I guess he has more reason to smile these days.
  16. I'm pretty sure that particular photo is a still capture from when they were on the South Bank show, so at least in this instance he was probably aware of it. Otherwise, I agree.
  17. I doubt they'd let a local hand out tickets. In my experience, local crew is almost never trusted with anything that close to the actual production.
  18. Ah, so he probably wasn't a part of the core crew then. There are tons of people each tour whose job is to hump all the gear from point a to point b, which sounds like what he was doing.
  19. I'm genuinely sorry to hear that. She is an awesome person.
  20. If I'm not mistaken, it is the biggest Stadium on the tour so far (and I think overall as well).
  21. They were people magazine's worst celebrity twin names in 2008. :laugh3:
  22. Juno is his other daughter. ;)
  23. Where did you hear she'd stopped working with the band? She is (was?) a fairly important cog in the band's live machine, I don't imagine she'd be easily replaced.
  24. When did she stop working for them? I saw her on tour with them in Chicago last year. Met her briefly a couple times in fact. If she's gone, she will be missed.
  25. Ava has curly blond hair similar to Violet. His younger daughter could too for all I know, I have no idea what she looks like. I'm 100% positive the woman on the far right is Marianne especially since in the most recent photos of her, Chloe is back to lighter hair. This is starting to feel like one of those logic puzzles where you get a one sentence description of each person and have to work out who's standing next to who. :laugh3: Here's what I think is the correct order (L to R): Nico, Vickie, Will's brother, Marriane w/Ava.
