Apple will drop the price of it's DRM-free iTunes Plus tracks this week, iLounge.com has reported. The more user-friendly songs, which are also twice the quality of regular tracks, will be available for $0.99 like the rest of the iTunes library. The old DRM-laden versions of the Plus songs will presumably be dropped from the iTunes Store. I think it'll be interesting to see if coldplay continues the growth from the almost indie-rock of Parachutes to the very mainstream U2ish X&Y. Where do they go from here? I would be very surprised if they depart far from the formula though. It's such an amazingly good formula :D
