ahhhhh im so FREAKING excited for this. such a nice thing to look forward to!! :D:D

well i remember in some interview chris saying that the first line of the song (was a long and dark december) was one of the first lines the ever wrote way back in 1998 or something and then they brought it back and wrote the rest of the song for VlV. he said something like 1% of the song was written 10 years ago and the other 99% was written this year. so its very likely that they were thinking about it around that time...

hmm i guess i listened to the people on CNN talk for quite awhile too... i had no idea the webcast was going on so i was in no hurry to get to my computer. but now i have it so i can watch it whenever i want. :) such an amazing feeling to have a video of an entire radiohead concert on my computer...

i had my first day today! it was my last first day of school everr since i'm a senior... kinda depressing actually! it went well though it should be a fun year.

i got goosebumbs first time i listened to cemeteries... then again during YOU THOUGHT YOU MIGHT BE A GHOST in 42... then during almost all of LIJ... my first listen to viva la vida was something i cant even describe but there were definately chills... violet hill i got teary eyed (it was the first new song we heard)... end of death and all his friends every hair on my arms stood straight up. and then when the brixton academy gig was broadcast live and i heard the OHHHHHHs from viva la vida live for the first time... i almost went into a seizure from having the chills and my eyes watered extremelyyyy. so yes. this album has definately given me goosebumps.

i completely agree with you there about chinese sleep chant. dont get why the band is so in love with this song. can you believe they played that over cemeteries alll during the US leg? anyway... did they play any new songs?

^^no. square one is one of my favorite live songs. i experience both (they played square one in hartford, speed of sound in boston) and i can tell you square one was MUCH better. speed of sound IS boring and live it just kinda leaves everyone standing around. just my opinion tho!

hahaha the VP debate will be soooo lopsided! biden will dominate. and to mrcool: you say biden's bad qualities outweigh his good yet you have not named ONE of his bad qualities! he spoke against obama... ok so did every other democrat who ran in the early stages of the primaries. if you think the fact that he insulted obama outweighs his foreign credentials i have to say that isnt the slightest bit true. and how ON EARTHHHH can you say obama has the same amount as experience as Palin?!?! obama went to occidental and COLUMBIA and actually studied things useful to being president (political science, internataional affairs). that definated outdoes palins BA in JOURNALISM from IDAHO! not even to mention the fact that obama went to harvard law. the differences in their education alone sets them apart by miles. then if you add in the fact that obama has been a major politician since 96 (he was first in the Illinois senate) and became a US senator in 2005 that definatelay tops Palins 1 and a half years as GOVERNOR OF ALASKA. i mean come on... the two arent even CLOSE when it comes to political expereince. it's one thing to try to compare old man mccain and obama but saying palin has the same amount of experience is flat out ABSURD!

biden has a VERY accomplished past in foreign policy which is something obama was criticized for not having. he also has been around for a VERY long time which means he has experienced which is ANOTHER thing obama was criticized for not having. so by adding biden, obama addressed two of the biggest things he has been criticized about. i dont see how that is a bad pick at all... palin was a governor in alaska for LESS than two years. which means she has absolutely NO experience especially for someone who is supposed to become the VICE PRESIDENT. she graduated from the university of idaho...? with only a bachelors degree in JOURNALISM. i dont know many politicians who majored in journalism? she got into politics by getting runner up in a Ms. Alaska pageant (the runner up received a position on city council). and if that wasnt bad enough... after he sister got a rough divorce from a policeman she tried to get him fired and when the person she asked wouldnt do it she got THAT person fired as well. so i dont really see how obamas pick was anywhere close to as bad as mccains....
